In an update on Mojo Rawley's condition, the former Andre the Giant Battle Royal winner was taken to a local medical facility and it is being reported that he has suffered a concussion as the result of Braun Strowman's attack. After being struck in the face with the RAW Women's Championship by the champ herself, Mickie James took to Twitter and had this to say... @ MickieJames: Only a coward attacks from behind. This is far from over, keep warming that title for me Alexa. #YouAndMe ... If one thing is for certain, Mickie James is not afraid of Alexa Bliss' tricks. The main event for SummerSlam is set! Brock Lesnar will defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns! What will happen next week after Roman Reigns caught the champion off guard with a Spear on this past week's edition of RAW?!

I had to think extra hard about Nakamura and The Miz not being for the championship. I love how the match ended and likely flows nicely into a title match down the line and developing a rivalry between the two.
A real common tag team match between Slater and Rhyno against The Usos.
As soon as I found out Neville was defending the championship against Johnny Gargano, it was obvious Gargano was walking away with the strap. Gargano was the perfect choice, and as he moves into singles competition, his best fit is in the cruiserweight division as an underdog face - which is what you seem to be rolling with.
Mickie squashes Lana... hahaha
Booking Braun Strowman as a monster is great! Not sure why Angle suspended him, and I wonder if we'll see Strowman rebel next week and show up? That's going to be interesting... Plus, I'm not fond of Mojo so that was nice.
Putting Luke Harper in this #1 contenders match was unique and different, and definitely would not have been my decision to do so, but it was creative and you had a reason with his past with Bray Wyatt. Yet, Harper being the first to get eliminated was the wise decision. Not too sure how confident I am having Styles exit the fray next, but then seeing Roman Reigns defeat the heel Wyatt goes far.
Reigns versus Lesnar will be a huge matchup, while hopefully there's no cash-in like their WrestleMania 31 match lol. The only issue I have is bringing Lesnar in for that closing segment, that could have happened later leading up to SummerSlam. Lesnar makes sporadic appearances and it seemed like a waste there. Great moment with Reigns spearing him though.
I look forward to seeing SmackDown Live living up to its counterpart.

As Sasha celebrates, the announce team speculates on a possible future match between Sasha and the SmackDown Women's Champion, Naomi. Sasha celebrates her victory as cameras fade away.
Charly Caruso is backstage and her guest at this time is Seth Rollins! The fans pop as Rollins steps into the interview. Charly brings up last year's SummerSlam main event that was between Seth and Finn Balor for the Universal Championship. She asks him what's going to be different about tonight compared to SummerSlam last year. Rollins says that there is going to be one big difference tonight, and that difference is that he is going to win. He says that last year he felt empty knowing that he couldn't be the first ever Universal Champion. But that can all change tonight. Rollins says that he and Balor share similar goals, and that is to become the WWE Champion. Rollins admits that he has a chip on his shoulder having never beat Finn Balor, and he knows that they're going to be the tar out of each other. But tonight that all changes, he will go onto SummerSlam, challenge Jinder Mahal, and he will become a 3 time WWE Champion! Rollins looks fired up as he walks off. Charly sends it back to ringside.
Samoa Joe vs. Cedric Alexander
Cedric Alexander comes out first to a pop. The announcers note that Alexander opted out of the Cruiserweight Division to chase his dream of becoming a world champion here in WWE, which is why he was sent here to SmackDown Live. Samoa Joe comes out next to boos and he looks intent on destruction. The bell sounds. Alexander goes right after Joe! He uses his speed to deliver quick strikes to Joe's upper body. But Samoa Joe catches him and delivers a big belly to belly side slam! Joe gets Alexander up and he throws him into the corner. Joe charges and turns his body 180 and smashes Alexander in the corner. But Joe rips him back down to the mat with the Coquina still locked in tight! Cedric Alexander ends up passing out and the referee ends it.
Winner by submission: Samoa Joe!
Joe refuses to let Cedric Alexander go as he keeps the Coquina locked around Alexander's throat. Officials rush the ring and pull Joe away. The announcers wonder if Joe was embarrassed that Cedric Alexander almost got the better of him and that is why he tries to hurt Alexander. Joe willingly leaves on his own as he smiles at his work. SmackDown goes to commercial with Cedric Alexander trying to recover.

Sasha Banks opening the show against Emma? That just seemed odd to start off SmackDown. That feels like a match in the middle of the card and not to kick things off. Plus, Emma's not one to be starting off. It makes me wonder if Emma, even in a loss, is in for a push on SmackDown. I love how you separated Cedric from the pack and put him in a match against Samoa Joe. So glad you're not keeping him strictly in cruiserweight matches, like real WWE's doing! Again, even in a loss, I see big things for Cedric. Interested to see what's next for Cedric... possibly continuing a program on with Samoa Joe? John Cena versus Jeff Hardy was a spectacular match! That should have kicked the show off right there!! It's huge to see a triple threat at SummerSlam, and it was a very unique decision to put Jeff Hardy in that spot. I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out and for you to actually write the match -- which should be nothing short of spectacular. A second appearance by Sasha Banks made things interesting. Naomi and Sasha for the belt at SummerSlam? Couldn't think of any better!! Balor and Rollins was incredible! I question the finishing move being the Phoenix Splash, but an epic match nonetheless! I'm interested to seeing how you mold Rollins into a character that can rival Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam. It appears Balor and Rollins made a pact there, so I'm more intrigued if you keep Balor around the main event scene while this build to SummerSlam happens. Awesome show, bud! I sincerely hope you keep up the amazing work.
