9/25/17 WWE... Then. Now. Forever... It's the night after WWE No Mercy! Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Booker T open up the show and review last night's PPV. They then run down tonight's show. In our main event, we will see the victors from the double main event at No Mercy! Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman reignite their rivalry tonight! The bell sounds for the opening contest.
Jason Jordan vs. Curtis Axel w/ Intercontinental Champion, the Miz, Maryse, & Bo Dallas
Jason Jordan was bent on revenge after he was cost the Intercontinental Championship last night at No Mercy, and he took out all of his frustrations on Curtis Axel here tonight. Jordan hit multiple suplex variations but a distraction by Bo Dallas, and it allowed Axel to capitalize. Axel connected with the Perfect-Plex for the 3.
Charly Caruso interviewed the Raw Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss. She proclaimed that since she has no competition left on the Raw roster after defending her title in last night's Fatal 5 Way at No Mercy last night, and that is why she is issuing an open challenge for her title tonight!
Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Local Talent
It was a one sided affair as Gallows and Anderson made short work of the local tag team. They picked up the win after hitting the Magic Killer on both of their opponents. After the match they went on the mic and stated that they wanted the Raw Tag Team titles.
Elias vs. Matt Hardy
Pre match, Elias busted out a tune and bashed the Raw's hosting city. Matt Hardy would interrupt Elias. The match was hard hitting, and went back and forth, but it was Matt Hardy who came out on top after connecting with the Twist of Fate!
The new Cruiserweight Champion, Enzo Amore is backstage. He cuts a promo on the entire Cruiserweight Division, and claims that he did what no one else could do, and that was dethrone Neville. As Enzo is talking, he is suddenly blasted from behind by the former Cruiserweight Champion! Neville throws Enzo face first into the the video board, and before leaving he announces that he's invoking his rematch clause for the Cruiserweight Championship next week on Raw!
Raw Women's Championship: (C) Alexa Bliss vs. Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke has answered the call! The match started off with Dana out matching Alexa in terms of strength. She connected with power slams, back body drops, and side slams, but nothing could put the champion away! Alexa mounted a comeback after getting away with a thumb to the eye. Alexa even planted Dana with her signature DDT, but she could not put Dana away. Later in the match, Dana connected with a top rope superplex! Dana would then hit the Samoan Driver followed by hooking both of Alexa's legs!
Winner and NEW Raw Women's Champion, Dana Brooke!
Cameras go backstage and we see Braun Strowman preparing to head to the ring for our colossal main event! It's Reigns vs. Strowman, next!
Main Event Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns
As the bell sounded, Strowman and Reigns met face to face in the center of the ring. Strowman tried to mount some early offense but Reigns used his quickness to avoid Strowman's attacks. Reigns connected with big shots to the head but Strowman wasn't phased. Reigns would go for a Superman punch but Strowman would instead catch him and counter into a big chokeslam for a near fall! Strowman toyed with Reigns for most of the match, but Reigns got the upper hand by surprising Strowman with a huge Samoan drop! But Strowman would pop back up and take Reigns out with a power slam. After yet another near fall, Strowman snapped. He grabbed a steel chair, and as he prepared to take off Roman Reigns' head...
It's Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose! The fans go absolutely nuts as the Raw Tag Team Champions rush the ring and begin taking it to Braun Strowman! But Strowman would show why he is the called the Monster Among Men. He began to dispose of Rollins and Ambrose, but Roman Reigns would deliver a huge Superman punch, followed by a Spear! As Strowman gingerly got to his feet, Rollins and Ambrose sent him over the top rope and crashing to the outside with a double drop kick! Reigns, Ambrose, and Rollins stood tall to end the show as everyone began to speculate on a Shield reunion.

Raw News
We have a new Raw Women's Champion! After then Champion, Alexa Bliss stated that her competition was thin, she issued an open challenge and Dana Brooke answered and defied all the odds! Dana would secure the biggest win of her career as she is the new Raw Women's Champion! Is a Shield reunion on the rise? In the main event we saw Roman Reigns take on the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. With frustration mounting, Braun Strowman looked to take Roman Reigns out for good with a steel chair, but Raw's Tag Team Champions intervened, and together the trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose stood triumphant.

My thoughts on Raw:
Opening match was good. Plus, having Curtis Axel get a cheap win was not only a shock but played into the storyline. However, with The Miz at ringside, I would have included him in the outside interference. Still works.
Gallows/Anderson should be above the local talents at this point in their career. I understand there's injuries on Raw's tag team division to prevent a win against a contracted team, but get creative! I know you're capable of that.
Love the launch to a single Matt Hardy career.
Enjoyed Neville knocking Enzo backstage and capitalizing with a title rematch next week. Don't understand why this is the only cruiserweight appearance that night, though.
Now I'm very, VERY upset about Dana Brooke ending Alexa's title run. I just felt it was random, made little sense, and wouldn't be my pick to end the reign of Alexa Bliss. Is it because Alexa beat 4 of the top women on Raw? I am trying to wrap my head around this, but yikes.
The Shield tease is great! A strong way to end Monday Night Raw, and perhaps we do see it!! I'm looking forward to what you have in store.
