Enzo and Big Cass retain their titlesThe reigning NXT Tag Team Champions went into this NXT Takeover special and defeated The Revival, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, to continue their successful streak in NXT. Strange Bedfellows Score OneThe team of Abyss and Steve Marx failed to beat The Revival at the previous Takeover, but they made their mark on American Alpha tonight, beating one of the best amateur-style teams in the world. Asuka and Bayley Settle Things inside a CageAfter their last match ended at the hands of Nia Jax's involvement, Bayley and Asuka had their shot inside a Steel Cage. Bayley was able to retain her gold against Asuka with a Super Bayley-to-Belly for the win. Afterwards though, Nia attacked Bayley and put her back in the steel cage and dismantled the NXT Women's Champion, sending a statement she's not going anywhere. Sandow's Rejuvenation Falls ShortThe refocused Damien Sandow in NXT had a match with the up-and-coming Apollo Crews, but Sandow's new outlook didn't help much, with Apollo hitting the Stone Mountain Bomb to win. Samoa Joe is Dethroned, Nakamura Wins TitleSamoa Joe's long reign as NXT Champion came to an end tonight as world-renown Shinsuke Nakamura won the title from Joe. Some could blame Joe's concentration with his part in the main roster now, but Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world and his reign in NXT begins on July 1st.

Also, later on in the night, a 20-man battle royal will commence to determine who competes for the championship at WWE Battleground.
Neville(c) def. Dolph Ziggler to retain the United States Championship Neville kicked off the July 4th holiday with a successful title defense, not easy by any means, but made happen with a Red Arrow.
Randy Orton was caught in an interview, as he's informed about the main event tonight, him teaming with Ryback to wrestle Samoa Joe and Rusev. Orton says he's just now hearing about it, but better get ready, and should talk to Ryback, as he left Renee Young in the dust.
Finn Balor def. The Dudley Boyz Finn Balor pulled off a MAJOR upset against the most decorated tag team in wrestling's history, as Balor had a victory roll on Bubba Ray to get the win!
Stephanie McMahon is backstage with the Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn, while Stephanie continues to applaud Sami's fighting spirit, and expects nothing less as he pulls double duty tonight. Zayn scratches his head, as Stephanie explains he's in a tag team match with Daniel Bryan tonight, wrestling Bray Wyatt and Alberto Del Rio. She also mentioned she'd like Zayn to compete in the battle royal later tonight, if that's no problem, and Zayn agrees to do it, pleasing his boss.
Paige def. Naomi After Paige beat Naomi, she's attacked by Natalya, who is outraged over last Thursday.
Daniel Bryan and Sami Zayn def. Alberto Del Rio and Bray Wyatt w/Wyatt Family After Bray abandoned Del Rio and left with Rowan and Harper, that's when Daniel forced Alberto to tap out to the Yes Lock.
Divas Champion Charlotte came to the ring by herself, refusing to talk about Natalya's childish attack on Paige earlier. Charlotte addressed Brie Bella, when Brie came out and confronted the champ. Brie made her wishes known, trying to make her match with Charlotte at Battleground a Submission Match, but Charlotte laughed it off and left Brie upset in the middle of the ring.
Backstage, Kevin Owens is explaining how he'll be the next United States Champion while he sees the current champion Neville, and storms over to him, getting into an argument with a champion, as Owens vows to go out to the ring and become the #1 contender.
Kalisto def. Kaval Kalisto hit Salida del Sol on Kaval, before getting a mic and warning Sheamus he'll be coming after him.
The Usos came to the ring and reminded everyone they're in line for a tag team title shot whenever they want, and they figure they'll get it at Battleground. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose come down to the ring, as it's a family reunion with Ambrose tagging along. Reigns accepts on his team's behalf, a title defense at Battleground, as Ambrose looks puzzled as to what to think.
Xavier Woods wins the Battle Royal to become #1 contender to the United States Championship With the final 3 being Woods, John Cena, and Kevin Owens, Owens was eliminated by Cena, and was so irate he got back in the ring to eliminate Cena, that's how Xavier became #1 contender as Kofi and Big E came to celebrate. Rivalries such as Kalisto and Sheamus progressed, and potential feud between Jeff Hardy and The Miz was born.
The commentators confirmed Daniel Bryan versus Alberto Del Rio for this Thursday's SmackDown, as well as Natalya getting her hands on Paige.
Samoa Joe and Rusev w/Lana def. Randy Orton and Ryback Samoa Joe and Rusev emerged victorious, while Joe and Orton really fought to the backstage area as Rusev locked in The Accolade on Ryback to win, then spat on the American flag at ringside, leaving the arena with heat to end the show.BATTLEGROUNDRandy Orton vs. Samoa Joe WWE Tag Team Championships MatchDean Ambrose & Roman Reigns(c) vs. The Usos United States Championship MatchNeville(c) vs. Xavier Woods w/The New Day WWE Divas Championship MatchCharlotte(c) vs. Brie Bella

July 7 2016 Stephanie McMahon, realizing the Intercontinental Championship needed to be defended at Battleground a week from Sunday, she made the match, stacking the odds against champion Sami Zayn, defending it against Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, and Bray Wyatt. However, Bray rejected the opportunity, saying the Money in the Bank briefcase has more in store, so he offered Luke Harper instead. A match made for later tonight was Sami Zayn versus Luke Harper, and if Harper wins, he takes Bray's spot.
The Usos had a match with The Ascension, and though The Usos won the match, The Ascension attacked The Usos after the fact. This led to Roman Reigns coming out by himself to help his cousins, fighting off Konnor and Viktor, but saving his Battleground challengers in the process.
Natalya and Paige tried to settle differences, but their match was too out of control, the referee had to throw it out and get help to separate the two. While this occupied Paige, Charlotte was attacked from behind in the back and was applied the Yes Lock by Brie Bella, and the challenger screamed for the Submission stipulation for Battleground.
Confirmed for Battleground was two matches. Hideo Itami will face Bubba Ray Dudley for an official contract to the main roster, as a result of Finn Balor begging Stephanie. Then also, Kalisto versus Sheamus, as Kalisto tries to avenge Sheamus for Sin Cara's injury.
One of the co-main events was Daniel Bryan versus Alberto Del Rio, two confirmed challengers for Zayn's Intercontinental Championship. Though Bryan got Del Rio to tap this past Monday, Alberto evened the score with the Cross Armbreaker, in spite of a reluctant and prideful Daniel Bryan.
The main event featured Sami Zayn versus Luke Harper, with Rowan and Wyatt ringside. Sami competed to keep his match a triple threat, but Bray used his wisdom for evil, helping Luke hit a Discus Clothesline to win a ticket to Battleground.

July 11 2016 Samoa Joe began tonight's Raw and admits since losing the NXT Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at the latest Takeover, he's been lonely and feels if he beats Randy Orton for a second time, should be named the new #1 contender for Seth Rollins and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie McMahon responded, and you could see the fear, but agreed that if Joe wins this Sunday, he can be Seth's opponent when he returns. However, Randy Orton came out and called it a conspiracy that Stephanie was trying to push him out of the title picture, and this started a whole ruckus when the Chairman's theme hit, Mr. McMahon! Vince mentioned he was planning on coming out later, but couldn't tolerate the whining. Vince tells Samoa Joe that Raw is another level above NXT, so he shouldn't expect anything. Vince lets Randy Orton know that it's Stephanie's decision, but if he wants to remain the #1 contender, to just win this Sunday. Vince then demands both to exit the ring so he can talk to Stephanie, who is trying to butter up her dad. Vince mentions the craziness happening lately, and then questions decisions made as suspending Cesaro and The Rock, and also the decision not to strip Seth Rollins of the title. Vince told Stephanie that if things don't change, and more importantly the WWE World Heavyweight Championship isn't defended by SummerSlam, she'll be relieved of her duties. The crowd loved it, as Stephanie tried to get out of it, but to no prevail as Vince left his daughter in the ring headed into commercial.
Back from the commercial, Stephanie was taking her frustrations out on the fans, still in the ring. Stephanie then says she's the best woman for the job, and will put on a great show tonight, and a great card at Battleground. Stephanie says tonight we'll see an 8-man tag with the champions Ambrose and Reigns teaming with The Usos, to face The Wyatt Family and Alberto Del Rio. Also, as pertaining to the Intercontinental Championship Match this Sunday, promises Sami Zayn to go one-on-one with Daniel Bryan. Plus, the Divas Champion Charlotte going one-on-one with Sasha Banks. Stephanie also announces a match, stemming from last week, Kevin Owens versus John Cena... and it's next! Stephanie leaves the ring as Kevin Owens walks out, complaining about this last-minute match.
John Cena def. Kevin Owens Shades of their rivalry last summer, John Cena emerged victorious after following through with an AA, something Kevin Owens avoided twice in the final minute.
Stephanie McMahon approaches Vince McMahon in the office watching the opening match, and Stephanie vouches for her credibility of running Raw. Vince says it's a stacked card, but calls Stephanie's fraud as it wouldn't have been made without him being there. Vince asks what she has planned on Battleground, and though there's great matches, there's nothing that's clicked yet. Stephanie says she's working on it, and leaves it at that.
Sasha Banks def. Charlotte in a non-title match Charlotte was under control until Brie Bella walked down and Sasha took over, eventually making Charlotte tap to the Bank Statement.
After the match, Brie Bella grabbed Charlotte's championship, a microphone, and entered the ring, and though Sasha pointed to the title, she left Charlotte in Brie's hands. Brie then demanded she get a Submission Match against Charlotte this Sunday, and when Charlotte kept saying no, Brie put in the Yes Lock, and it took lunging back for Charlotte to cave. We've got ourselves a submission match with the title on the line, this Sunday!
Ryback headed to the ring and showed a replay of Rusev spitting on the American flag last week at ringside for Independence Day. Ryback went on a speech about respecting veterans and this country, that Rusev has no respect for, and The Big Guy wants to teach him a lesson. Rusev and Lana came out laughing, saying Ryback can't do anything, then even getting in his face, while Rusev asked the replay to be shown of Ryback tapping out last week. Ryback said it won't happen again, but Rusev called Ryback a quitter, a loser, just like America, and this set Ryback over the edge. Lana got out of dodge as Ryback and Rusev had to be separated, but it took a lot to get these two away from each other. This continued, and after the commercial break, these two were at it backstage when Stephanie broke this up with Vince lurking behind her. Stephanie told them to settle things this Sunday!
Dolph Ziggler def. Jeff Hardy Jeff Hardy had this match in the bag as he went up top for a Swanton Bomb, but The Miz jumped over the barricade as Dolph had the referee distracted faking an injury. Miz pulled on Jeff's leg, then Dolph bounced up to hit a Suplerplex, turning it into a small package for the W.
The New Day came out, centering their mic time around Xavier's opportunity at the United States Championship this Sunday. They called Woods "America's Civilized Citizen", and said he'll claim the gold back for America. Neville came out and said he may be from another country, but he defends the title with honor because he's proud of the Land of Opportunity. Big E says Xavier Woods is getting an opportunity, Kofi's a 3-time United States Champion, but where's Big E's opportunity? Big E says he thinks they should shake Battleground up and say if he's champion headed into Battleground, it's a triple threat between The New Day. Neville doesn't argue, and tells Big E "you're on", to the dismay of all New Day. A referee rushes to the ring as Neville hands the belt over.
Neville(c) def. Big E w/The New Day to retain the United States Championship Neville accepted the challenge, though he didn't have to, and ended up beating Big E with a Frankensteiner, then rolling out quickly to avoid Kofi and Xavier, who tried cheating for Big E numerous times. Neville grabbed his title and escaped through the crowd, headed to Battleground still champion.
The commentary team took a moment to show a tweet from The Rock about Vince's comments earlier, also saying Triple H and Stephanie need to be put in their place. Then we go backstage, as Stephanie tries taking credit for a title match tonight on Raw, but Vince says it wasn't her doing, she let the superstars give away money matches for free. Vince tells Stephanie he'll stay here through Battleground, as Stephanie looks worried.
Alberto Del Rio and The Wyatt Family def. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and The Usos Miscommunication led to Ambrose striking Jey Uso, then Ambrose and Reigns argued before Dean walked out, which was enough distraction for Luke Harper to hit a Discus Clothesline on Jey to win the match.
In the ring, Reigns and The Usos left together, after helping Jey to his feet. Inside the ring, as The Wyatt Family and Alberto Del Rio celebrated, Bray turned on Alberto and hit a Sister Abigail. Bray quickly took the mic and told the fans to embrace their next Intercontinental Champion, because Luke will add the first piece of gold to The Wyatt Family's history, and that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be next.
Randy Orton is interviewed by Renee Young before leaving, vowing he will beat Samoa Joe this Sunday, no matter what. We then have to cut to an open locker room, which appears to be John Cena's, that we see Kevin Owens pummeling Cena before Owens is pushed out, calling Cena a fraud.
Sami Zayn def. Daniel Bryan in a non-title match The Intercontinental Champion emerged victorious after hitting a Helluva Kick on one of his three challengers.
After the main event, Sami picked Daniel Bryan up and shook his hand, getting a standing ovation from the crowd, when the touching moment got interrupted, The Wyatt Family attacking both Zayn and Bryan. Then Alberto Del Rio rushed the scene and attacked Bray and other members of the Wyatts. As the three Wyatt Family members were knocked out, Daniel hit the Knee-Plus on Del Rio, and Bryan left Sami Zayn standing headed into Battleground.BATTLEGROUNDFuture Title Shot for the WWE World Heavyweight ChampionshipRandy Orton vs. Samoa Joe Intercontinental Championship MatchSami Zayn(c) vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper WWE Tag Team Championships MatchDean Ambrose & Roman Reigns(c) vs. The Usos Kalisto vs. Sheamus United States Championship MatchNeville(c) vs. Xavier Woods w/The New Day Rusev w/Lana vs. Ryback WWE Divas Championship Submission MatchCharlotte(c) vs. Brie Bella Hideo Itami vs. Bubba Ray Dudley

July 14 2016 Luke Harper began tonight's SmackDown against R-Truth, completely dismantling Truth, ending things with a Discus Clothesline to gain momentum headed into Sunday.
Kalisto had a match with The Miz, that was thrown out due to Sheamus coming and Brogue Kicking Kalisto's head off. Miz would leave the ring, but at the top of the ramp, was attacked by Jeff Hardy, avenging this last Monday on Raw, and this carried into the back. Once attention was redirected to the ring, Sin Cara came to the rescue with a steel chair in hand, and chased Sheamus off. Sin Cara's back, and he's saved his Lucha Dragons partner.
Finn Bálor assured Hideo Itami that he'll be in his corner this Sunday as he fights for a spot on the main roster. This was before Finn's match with D-Von Dudley, won by Bálor, but Bubba Ray attacked Bálor afterwards and nailed the 3D. Coincidentally, Itami was escorted out of the building prior by Stephanie, once she found out Itami was backstage. It was later confirmed this match will take place on the Kickoff.
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns had a segment in the ring, as Reigns tried to understand why Ambrose left Monday, citing Ambrose never walks away from a fight. Dean admits Roman's bloodline with The Usos has him questioning wjere Roman's allegiances lie. Reigns admits he and The Usos are cousins, but he and Dean are brothers, and more importantly, the WWE Tag Team Champions. Roman says family's important to him, but the championships is putting more food on the table for his kids. The Usos then came out, as both teams agree for a clean match this Sunday, and may the best team win.
Paige and Natalya squared off, as prior they were backing Charlotte and Brie Bella respectively this Sunday. Stephanie then came out and said the one to make their opponent submit can be at ringside during the championship bout, but the loser is banned from ringside. This resulted in Natalya tapping, to everyone's dismay, to the PTO.
It was announced that this Sunday, along with Vince McMahon being there, that WWE's COO Triple H will be in attendance. Triple H hasn't been seen since April 4th, the night after WrestleMania.
In the main event, Randy Orton was plotted in a match by Stephanie against Bray Wyatt, when Orton was honestly dominated and worn down by the Eater of Worlds for most of the match, until an RKO Outta Nowhere crowned him the victor. After the bell, Erick Rowan jumped Orton, but got an RKO payment as well. However, Samoa Joe rushed down and didn't receive the same, as a brawl between the two top dogs vying for Seth Rollins, this ends tonight's go-home episode.

Neville(c) def. Xavier Woods w/The New Day to retain the United States ChampionshipThough Xavier's patriotic attire was nice, Neville kept his title with a Red Arrow.Stephanie McMahon is backstage with her father Vince McMahon, as she boasts about the opening contest, but Vince reminds Stephanie the night's still young. Ryback heads to the ring in American-themed gear, perhaps more sincere than Xavier Woods in the opening contest, as Ryback prepares for battle. Rusev w/Lana def. Kalisto says he'll have Sin Cara with him tonight, and has all the confidence in the world he can overtake the bully. Sheamus def. Brie Bella in a Submission Match to retain the Divas ChampionshipBrie had Charlotte in the Yes Lock, but Paige reached inside and pulled Charlotte to the floor. While the ref tried to eject Paige, Brie was decked by the championship belt. Charlotte then locked in the Figure 8, only for Brie to tap.Vince McMahon storms to the ring, livid for the chaos tonight, and that even the Attitude Era wasn't this chaotic. Vince attributes that to poor management, then Stephanie comes to try calming her father down. Vince said she is close to having the day-to-day operations stripped from The Authority. This is the cue for Triple H, who hasn't been seen in over three months!! Triple H comes down hot and immediately asks for a microphone, telling Vince he's back, but telling both authoritative figures to give him a second. Triple H looks in the camera and hopes The Rock is listening, as he fumes on the last three months, and claiming The Rock has been vocal towards him, and towards his wife. Triple H says he's been working 24/7 for this company's future, and it's no longer respected. Triple H says he's had enough of The Rock, and is challenging him at SummerSlam. Triple H says if Vince doesn't approve, if The Rock doesn't approve, and if the fans doesn't approve of all he's done for the WWE, he has no problem putting The Authority's careers on the line. Triple H throws the mic down without saying any more, while Stephanie chasēs her husband up the ramp after putting their day-to-day jobs in jeopardy. Jeff Hardy def. The MizHardy made quick work on Miz, taking him out with a Twist of Fate, followed by a Swanton Bomb.JoJo tries interviewing Samoa Joe, but declines to answer her question about his mindset facing The Viper, with Joe stating JoJo is 0-2 when interviewing tonight, and won't be apart of her bad luck. July 18 2016 Triple H began tonight's episode, continuing on after his mega challenge to The Rock made last night. Triple H says he stands by what he said, he's had a long time to ponder on it, and says he must defeat The Rock at SummerSlam. Randy Orton then comes out and says they go way back, and nothing personal, but he hopes The Rock wins, as Orton refers to Stephanie's recent decision making. Triple H is offended, and is protective of his wife, as Triple H chooses to place Orton in the main event, Bray Wyatt as his opponent. Orton then tells Triple H to send a message to Seth Rollins, asking Seth to polish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship real nice, because it's only a matter of time until the Age of Orton returns.
Back from commercial, the commentators highlight a spectacular card the night after Battleground, including Sami Zayn's rematch against Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship, Jeff Hardy versus Dolph Ziggler, but up next, the United States Champion in action!
Neville def. Kaval w/Emma in a non-title match One night after his successful title defense, he keeps the momentum going with a Red Arrow to Kaval.
Stephanie McMahon was in the process of taking a call in the hallway when Brie Bella steps up to her, and Stephanie elects to hang up. Brie calls last night an injustice and wants a rematch for the Divas Championship tonight! Stephanie didn't see the point of handing a title match to someone who tapped out last night, but can understand where she's coming from. Stephanie suggests Brie Bella reprove herself and get a match tonight against "The Boss" Sasha Banks. Brie's not pleased, but accepts the match.
Jeff Hardy def. Dolph Ziggler Sidestepping a Superkick and following it up with a Twist of Fade brings The Charismatic Enigma to victory.
Kalisto came out for a match up next but Rusev attacked him from behind as Lana shouted encouragement. This went on for a while and as Rusev about dropped the steel steps on Kalisto's leg, Ryback's music hit and he rushed down to save the day but Rusev threw the steps onto Ryback, as Rusev used the opportunity to get out of dodge as Ryback received some attention.
Before the next match, we see a video from earlier today with Finn Balor and the newest addition to the main roster, Hideo Itami. Hideo thanks Finn for sticking up for him, and he owes his career to him. Itami mentions his first match apart of the roster tonight against Alberto Del Rio, in which Itami's wished luck from the Irishman.
Hideo Itami def. Alberto Del Rio Itami had a tough outing against Del Rio but ended it with a Shotgun Kick.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are backstage arguing like a husband and wife about the business, about Triple H's challenge to The Rock when Vince McMahon walks in. Vince says he's fine with what Triple H challenged, and it'll work just fine. Then The New Day walks in with their jokes and Vince doesn't take too well, as he makes a match for the commercial break up next, being The New Day versus The Dudley Boyz, and instead of Big E in the match, it'll be Xavier Woods.
The Dudley Boyz def. The New Day w/Big E Xavier ate his words earlier, being gobbled up in a 3D by the Dudley Boyz.
Sami Zayn gets an interview backstage about his title defense coming up and is excited about getting his championship back, a title he holds dearly. Zayn refers back to Bray Wyatt costing him the Money in the Bank briefcase, and him getting involved in last night's Intercontinental Championship match, that it's only time to make things right. The title match is next!
Luke Harper(c) def. Sami Zayn to retain the Intercontinental Championship As Zayn was close to regaining the title, the lights went out and someone holding a lantern began walking down with the fireflies, but we couldn't see his face, covered in a hood. Sami exited the ring but when the lights came on, it was Erick Rowan. Zayn slid back inside the ring, surprised, and got hit with a Discus Clothesline to lose off the distraction.
Sasha Banks def. Brie Bella Immediately after the commercial break, this match went down, and rather quickly as Brie tapped back-to-back nights, this time to the Bank Statement.
While Sasha Banks was still celebrating, Stardust came down to the ring with no music, but he wasn't wearing his facepaint as usual. He entered the ring with a mic and demanded the music be cut off and the women leave the ring. He mentioned he's not dressed like his brother Dustin, and he called himself Cody Rhodes, for those who didn't remember him. Cody went on a rant about being the best wrestler in the world and not getting an inch of credit. Cody mentions his dad passed away last summer and all he's done is been held down. Cody's mic is cut off during, but Rhodes grabbed the headset off Byron Saxton and continued. Cody called himself a Rhodes and he wants to wrestle as a Rhodes and wants to be a Rhodes, wanting to give all the credit to his family roots and his father Dusty Rhodes. Cody told everyone WWE won't hold him down anymore or give him a stupid gimmick, citing Stardust is no more and Cody Rhodes is forevermore.
Dean Ambrose approaches the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions backstage, Roman Reigns, applauding him for sticking by him last night at Battleground. Roman said The Usos were cousins, but he and Dean were brothers. The Usos overhear this and come up, not taking too kindly to this, challenging them to a title match this Thursday on SmackDown, in which Ambrose quickly accepts.
Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton ends in a no contest Orton and Wyatt didn't begin as Randy went after Bray before he got in the ring and it spilled to the outside. Bray retaliated and changed control, when Sami Zayn rushed down and attacked Bray Wyatt over the barricade and the two brawled.
Orton got back inside the ring with a mic and says he's ready for Seth Rollins and goes into yelling threats into the microphone when Seth Rollins slides in from behind, turning Orton around and Pedigreeing him! SETH IS BACK! The WWE World Heavyweight Champion is back after a long concussion shelf. This is how we end an action-packed Raw tonight, with the champion back where he belongs.

With college being a fork in my buttocks, and all my plans really flourishing at the end of SummerSlam, I'm pondering whether I want to go week-by-week into the build of SummerSlam, or just skip to SummerSlam with filling my readers in.
SummerSlam is known as the second biggest PPV in WWE, but I really don't know how I'm going to get to the matches I've got set, or stretch the hype over the course of 4 weeks of shows... I know the night after SummerSlam I get into the big stuff I've been wanting to do for months.
So yeah, I'm at a crossroads... But don't worry, whichever path I decide, I WILL be continuing this booker.
