Elias wins the 2018 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. We saw the return of the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan and we saw the legendary showdown between Hogan and Strowman. Strowman eliminated Hogan and out came Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and X-Pac to back up Hulk Hogan. This distraction for Strowman almost got him eliminated, but he fought them off. It came down to Strowman and Elias, as Strowman attempted to earn himself into the main event, but he charged at Elias who pulled the ropes down and Strowman tumbled over. It wasn't all great for Elias however, because Strowman would take his frustrations out on Elias before tossing him off the WrestleMania stage.
Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali battled as if they were setting the standard for 205 Live in 2018. New Orleans saw a crowning of a new Cruiserweight Champion and it was thanks to a final chain. Ali missed the 054 on Alexander, in which Alexander quickly went for a Lumbar Check, but Ali avoided that and when he tried a Superkick, Alexander blocked that and ended up successfully executing the Lumbar Check. Cedric Alexander, however, wasn't done as he sprang up to the top rope and hit Overtime as he hooked the leg for the win. The festivities began in New Orleans just then as the new champion teared up on his knees in the center of the ring. 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick stepped in and lifted up the new face of 205 Live as he embraced the new champion with a hug. Maverick handed the title over and Alexander raised his title high above his head. We then saw Mustafa Ali stumble to his feet, in which Cedric offered a handshake, yet it was denied by Mustafa Ali as he stormed out of the arena pouting.
In a triple threat match for their titles, Cesaro and Sheamus were the least cohesive tag team in the ring and it didn't help they had an off-night. It would be Cesaro trying a springboard uppercut and he slipped to the mat in pain, which Dawson and Wilder quickly capitalized with a Shattered Machine for them to take the titles. After the match, Sheamus looked around and got back inside with his partner after just losing the titles, as Sheamus picked Cesaro back up and reminded him they'll get the championships back in their possession.
Randy Orton walked into WrestleMania as the defending United States Champion in a ladder match. There were several great spots in the match, including Jinder Mahal's back splitting a ladder. The biggest one was Aiden English trying to obtain the title, when Corbin pushed the ladder and English flew into a catch-RKO by the champion. The match finished up with Shelton Benjamin and Baron Corbin battling it out on top and Benjamin got the upperhand and pushed Corbin off the ladder. As Benjamin reached for the title, partner Chad Gable came from behind and got Benjamin in the electric chair position before dumping him outside the ring. Gable then scaled up to the top of the ladder and Orton had only managed to make it to the feet of the ladder as Gable grabbed the belt and became the new United States Champion. Those looking on in disbelief was Randy Orton after losing his title, but none spoke louder than Shelton's face on the outside of the ring after having the title in his grasps before his own friend cost him the WrestleMania moment.
For Banks and Bayley, this was a hard fought contest as the two struggled to fight each other as best friends. While there was built-up rage, they both had trouble pulling the trigger at the end. When Sasha had Bayley in her grasps, she hesitated, but Bayley was able to fight back and then she was placed in the same position. Bayley hesitated and then was put in the Banks Statement. Bayley was able to roll out to the ropes, and when Banks got back up, was caught into a Bayley-to-Belly for a L.
The New Day and The Usos had been one of the biggest rivalries over the last year and it culminated tonight. They put on their best performance that didn't disappoint. Jey Uso nearly broke his arm this night in a leaping dive over the top rope, but was able to continue the match. In the end, the duo of Big E and Kofi Kingston toppled Jey Uso with the Midnight Hour to claim the gold once more.
The dream match everyone had been waiting for, the arrival of Ronda Rousey. Rousey, however, had people waiting because of Triple H taking care of business in the most Cerebral Assassin way against Kurt Angle. But when Rousey did get tagged in, it was on! Stephanie was hesitant, and Triple H blocked Rousey off, allowing Stephanie to circle around and cut Rousey's knee from under her. The match would draw even until Rousey had Stephanie where she wanted her, Angle came and fought off The Game, and Rousey locked in the armbar to put Stephanie out of her misery who had no choice but to tap.
After John Cena's challenge to The Undertaker failed, Dolph Ziggler jumped on the opportunity to have his first singles match at WrestleMania. But boy, did he get what was coming to him. Cena took weeks of frustration out on Dolph Ziggler and shouted for The Undertaker, yet there was no sign, but Cena used everything at his arsenal including a road sign. John Cena used this match to destroy Ziggler, and while Ziggler had some openings and near pinfalls over Cena, it was a last-minute rage by Cena to take down Ziggler with an Attitude Adjustment, rolled into another one, and locked the STF in for Ziggler to be humiliated at WrestleMania and tap out to the 16-time world champion. After the match, Cena took the time to drag his thumb across the throat, rolling his eyes, taunting a no-show Undertaker.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn went hard at each other in everyone's dream WrestleMania match for such a legendary rivalry of their careers. Shane was seen smirking as some took some hard shots and was willing to count for each. It was towards the end with Owens and Zayn had exhausted everything out of each other and were trading blows at the center of the ring, before Zayn landed one thunderous right and these two went nose-to-nose as Shane got excited... until he saw them turn towards him. Owens and Zayn then jumped Shane McMahon and the two brutalized Shane O'Mac. Daniel Bryan came out to ask what was going on, but they paid no mind as they left Shane McMahon beaten and battered at ringside, especially after wrapping a steel chair around the official's neck and slamming it into the post, leaving this match without an official result, although Owens and Zayn came away like winners.
Mickie James was in Alexa's corner and witnessed at ringside the beatdown of the champion by the destructive Nia Jax. Mickie tried getting involved by hopping on the apron, taking away from a pinfall opportunity, but Nia Jax came by and tossed Mickie in the ring. Nia Jax then would attack James, with the match still going on, and then toss her over the top rope like a rag doll as she hit hard. Alexa saw the medical personnel come out and she tended to her best friend. Nia Jax began to realize the severity of the situation and right when the referee for the match went to check on the condition of Mickie as well, Nia Jax was attacked from behind. The crowd went wild as it was Peyton Royce and Billie Kay! Royce and Kay brutalized Nia to get her down to a knee, and Bliss signaled for them to get out as Bliss pulled the referee back in for her to hit a DDT on Nia Jax, followed by Twisted Bliss to retain her title - thanks to the help of NXT's Iconic Duo.
In a dream match for many, The Empress of Tomorrow and The Queen collided on the biggest stage of them all. However, it may have ended quicker than anything else in this fast-pace match. Charlotte had the edge early, but once Asuka began her offense, she was unmatched in terms of power and intensity. Asuka attempted the Asuka Lock a couple times, but couldn't get it locked in with Charlotte not letting up. The Figure-Four did get locked in, but not the Figure-Eight and this allowed Asuka to get out. Once Asuka did catch Charlotte in the Asuka Lock, it was done from there as Charlotte struggled and eventually caved, tapping to the undefeated Asuka.
A triple threat for the Intercontinental Championship was a classic. Rollins and The Miz decided to team up against Finn Balor from the start, and we saw each pairing possible in order to take each other out. Many close calls for each combatant in this thriller, and the closest was Balor's Slingblade followed by a Coup de Grace on The Miz. Finn Balor and Seth Rollins would duke it out and as it seemed Seth Rollins was inching closer to it, he hit King's Landing followed by a Curb Stomp on Balor... but wait! The Miz rushed in and tossed Rollins to the outside and grabbed the pinfall on an unconscious Balor to retain his title in the most Mizzy way imaginable.
What came as a shock to many, this match did not main event. Nonetheless, it was still must-see! Reigns and Lesnar tore each other part limb from limb and while the fans did not approve of Roman's offense and overdid their celebrations for Lesnar's attacks, it was a great match to enjoy. Reigns would be F-5ed through two announce tables and ended up accumulating 13 suplexes in this match. Lesnar had hit an F-5 in the ring twice and Reigns kicked out of both. Lesnar then tried his submission, but Reigns overpowered Lesnar and powerbombed him into the corner before hitting a Spear! Yet, Lesnar kicked out. Reigns would attempt the Superman Punch, only to be caught in an F-5, but avoided it this time and hit a Spear, which Lesnar got up from, and then Reigns hit another Spear, and another to make three consecutive spears to finally put Lesnar down and crown a new WWE Universal Champion.
WWE let these two go on last and it was well worth it. These two had nearly 40 minutes to tear down the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Saints inquired of a new home in case they succeeded. Nakamura and Styles went back and forth and too many close calls to count. Nakamura had secured an armbar, but that was no good, and Styles tried the Calf Crusher but that was to no prevail either. The two kept going and Nakamura tried hitting a Kinshasa, which led into another Calf Crusher attempt, which Nakamura got out of. The other counter to the Kinshasa was Styles rolling into a Styles Clash! We thought for sure that was it, but it only acquired two. AJ then tried for the Phenomenal Forearm, in which Shinsuke rolled under and then hit a knee to the back of the head, then setting up for the first Kinshasa success of the match, securing the win and his first WWE Championship as this WrestleMania closed.

Date: 9 April 2018 Location: Smoothie King Center (New Orleans, LA) Brand: Monday Night RawMonday Night Raw kicks off with Kurt Angle rejoicing in the match with Ronda Rousey last night. Angle thanks the fans for a warm WrestleMania welcome and didn't imagine he would get that again. He's interrupted by Paul Heyman, of all people, who comes to inform us that Brock Lesnar is not with us no longer, but says he is. Heyman then questions why Angle is so ecstatic about Ronda Rousey snapping Stephanie McMahon's arm, his boss. Heyman asks if it is funny, which Angle chuckles. Heyman says that Raw needs a General Manager who respects the boss and as Angle feels this heat, he gets into a staredown, before proclaiming he is good at his job. Angle calls for the next match to be a rematch for the Raw Tag Team Championships, giving The Bar another chance. The Revival defends the Raw Tag Team Championships against The Bar.The Revival were displeased with having to defend their titles 24 hours later, and The Bar took full advantage of this and the motivation that comes from losing the belts at WrestleMania. When it felt Cesaro and Sheamus would capture the titles for a fifth time, it took Wilder tossing one of the belts to Dawson in the ring to clock Cesaro in the face to intentionally disqualify themselves.
The Revival fled the scene quickly, clutching their titles. We hear of Roman Reigns, the new Universal Champion, being in the building tonight to address the crowd. This shown after highlights of an appearance on the Today Show this morning.
Absolution are in the ring and Paige is promoting her new movie coming to theaters, but this is derailed when the debut appearance of Ember Moon occurs! Ember Moon heads out for her first match on the main roster against Mandy Rose.Ember Moon debuts against Absolution's Mandy Rose.Mandy Rose got a couple shots in, thanks to some help distracting on the outside, but Ember Moon was leaps and bounds over Rose already. Ember Moon's debut went smoothly with an Eclipse to win the match.
Absolution pulled Mandy Rose out of the ring as Ember Moon celebrated inside. In the backstage area, The Revival are confronted by GM Kurt Angle about their actions earlier. The Revival made it clear they are the champions now, thus any time they are to defend the titles, they demand at least a week's heads up. Kurt Angle saw a perfect opportunity, giving The Revival seven days to prepare for a title defense against The Bar... but to make matters worse, there will be no disqualifications in a Bar Fight!
Finn Balor comes to the ring, admitting last night did not go as planned, but when one door closes another opens. Balor looked around and said Lesnar is nowhere to be found so he is officially challenging Roman Reigns for Backlash. The Intercontinental Champion heads out with his Miztourage and The Miz brags about not only winning last night, but pinning Balor. Seth Rollins then joins the fray saying he had the match won, and with his past with Reigns, the fans would love to see Rollins dethrone Roman Reigns. The fans roared, but it was Kurt Angle who came out to the stage and said he knows how to solve things. Angle schedules a rematch from last night's triple threat, but this time, a match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be on the line. The three stare off, mentally prepping for tonight's main event.
As they return from the break, we see The Club in the ring ready to compete until they hear a roar. The Authors of Pain are here on Raw! Paul Ellering leads his men to the ring and we are set for the debut of former NXT Tag Team Champions. The Authors of Pain debut on Raw against The Club.Gallows and Anderson are a formidable team, but this was new strength against Akam and Rezar that was unmatched. Once Paul Ellering signaled for The Last Chapter on Luke Gallows, it was a done deal and AOP won their debut match on Raw. A vignette is shown of Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy as Hardy leads Bray Wyatt through some clues as he tries to pry into what Bray saw in the Lake of Reincarnation.
Curt Hawkins heads to the ring and begins by saying the Raw after WrestleMania crowd is the loudest, and they want to see Curt Hawkins! Hawkins actually was receptive to cheers from the fans, and Hawkins said tonight begins the new season in WWE and is wishing to win his first match tonight. Titus Worldwide heads out and O'Neil says that won't happen, because in this new season of time, Apollo is going to get gold around his waist and that begins now.Curt Hawkins and Titus Worldwide's Apollo attempt to relaunch their careers. You could tell both Hawkins and Apollo wanted, and needed, this win desperately. A few close calls, including Curt raising his shoulder off the mat after a Stone Mountain Bomb. But this match didn't get a decisive winner due to Samoa Joe appearing for the first time since being sidelined.
Samoa Joe ended this match by attacking both men, then an intervening Titus O'Neil, and finished the statement by placing Curt Hawkins in the Coquina Clutch as he passed out. Samoa Joe reminded everyone he is healthy, ready to go, and will be a force to be reckoned with. Renee Young welcomes her guest Elias, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner, who doesn't have his guitar and Elias says he isn't performing tonight after Braun Strowman's attack on him last night. Elias says he's felt lightheaded all day, and he couldn't get many more words out before Strowman blindsides him. Strowman takes him out to the stage and decides to throw him around ringside before rolling him inside the ring, followed by a table. Strowman sets the table up in the corner before he takes Elias and throws him into the corner, splitting the table. Strowman pulled Elias out of the rubble and hit a running powerslam on Elias in the center of the ring. Obviously, Strowman wasn't pleased by losing out on his main event slot last night.
Kurt Angle is in his office, on the phone, but he hangs up at the knock of his door and a big grin appears on his face. The camera zooms out to show Drew McIntyre here in the arena! Angle welcomes McIntyre to Monday Night Raw and says he has his contract right here, but McIntyre insists on going to the ring and doing it... After a commercial break in-between, Kurt Angle is there and introduces Drew McIntyre. McIntyre said a few words, reminiscing on his marks called "The Chosen One" in his first run with WWE. McIntyre said he doesn't want to be the chosen one, and at NXT he worked for everything and took everything, so he'll do the same thing here on Raw. McIntyre does not want to be given an opportunity, he wants to take it, so he signs with Monday Night Raw officially.
Backstage, Paul Heyman is criticizing the move to sign Drew McIntyre and is giving off this rant to Renee Young. Heyman told Renee that he has it under good authority that Stephanie McMahon isn't a fan of Drew's, so clearly she didn't sign off on this signing by Kurt Angle, another bad move by the General Manager. Heyman called McIntyre a failed experiment, but if he were GM, he would be bringing in hot prospects, like the next Cena, the next Rock, the next Austin, the next Hogan, the next Lesnar. Nia Jax looks to relinquish built-up anger after failing to leave WrestleMania as Raw Women's ChampionNia Jax was ultra-upset about last night's result and how Billie Kay and Peyton Royce cost her the title against Alexa Bliss. Nia Jax was squaring off against Mickie James and took all her frustration out on her before landing a running leg drop to pin Mickie James.
After the match, Nia Jax heard the music of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. They announce they will look to hear from Nia Jax next week, because if she wants to avenge last night's events, Nia must go through the both of them. Nia Jax looks ready to go now, as she hops out of the ring and chases Key and Royce to the back. We go through more replays of last night's WrestleMania prior to confirmation of what happens on next week's Raw. The Revival defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against Sheamus and Cesaro in a Bar Fight. Plus, Ronda Rousey is promised to be appearing!
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns comes to the ring in reception to boos from the crowd, but lets his haters know that their boos, their tweets, their crowd signs have only made him more determined to do things like last night, more driven to reach the top. The fans continued to boo Reigns, and he mentioned that the crowd cheered Brock Lesnar, but he's gone now and like he predicted, he's standing here with the title and he'll be here when the next guy comes up and takes it. Reigns then speaks about who the next guy would be, saying it won't be Rollins because he's been the most successful member of The Shield, and it won't be Finn Balor because he can't carry the company like he has for 3 years when he couldn't do it in 1 day, but it won't be The Miz because his WrestleMania moment was thanks to his cousin, which goes to show Miz has never worked a day in his life. Roman Reigns said he prides himself on being a worker and he'll sit down and watch who will fall to the Roman Empire at Backlash. Reigns heads on back to watch the main event from the locker room.Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and The Miz compete for the right to challenge WWE Universal Champion Roman ReignsThis main event was worthy of such, as it's a recap from last night with much more on the line. Ironically, this match almost ended the same way as last time. Seth Rollins hitting a Curb Stomp on Finn Balor and The Miz threw Rollins outside and went and jumped on Balor immediately, but Rollins grabbed The Miz's leg, pulling him out, and throwing him into the steps.
The match drew to a close with Balor setting up a Coup de Grace, but The Miz rolled out of the way, and as Balor regrouped, he was caught with a Slingblade by Seth Rollins. The Miz then was caught in a turn of events and Rollins was just about to hit a Pedigree on Miz, when the Miztourage's Axel and Dallas came and hopped on the apron, causing Rollins to push The Miz aside. Rollins talked at Axel and Dallas, but Bo was pulled off and received an uppercut to the jaw by Drew McIntyre! Axel hopped down but McIntyre had it and then threw Dallas into the ring post. Rollins then shrugged his shoulders and saw The Miz charging, but Rollins ducked to hit a suicide dive on Balor on the outside. Rollins then slid back inside and popped up into a Claymore Kick... WHAT?!
Drew McIntyre stood above Rollins as The Miz was shocked, but covered Rollins and took the win. McIntyre didn't take his eyes off Rollins before picking Seth up and hitting a Future Shock on Rollins. On the outside, Finn Balor is standing up and trying to piece together what's going on, before he's blindsided! The cameras look, and it's Wade Barrett! What is he doing back? Wade Barrett takes Balor and rolls him into the ring and Drew goes on the beatdown for Wade Barrett to come in and lift Balor up for a Wasteland. Barrett and McIntyre look at one another, laughing, as they have both made a return tonight and an emphatic statement. And tonight's Raw closes in emphatic fashion.

Date: 10 April 2018 Location: Smoothie King Center (New Orleans, LA) Brand: SmackDown LiveSmackDown Live begins tonight with Daniel Bryan in the ring and he introduces one by one the new champions crowned at WrestleMania. Bryan would congratulate each of them on their victories, and then the ones defeated at WrestleMania showed up. The former champions all formed a line on the ramp and made it clear they wanted to cash in their rematch clauses. Bryan, however, mentioned other plans. Bryan said since it is the "Land of Opportunity" and after WrestleMania new men step up, they will be competing in #1 Contender matches. The Usos were the ones who really had a problem with it, but Bryan said one of those will begin tonight as Randy Orton wrestles right now against someone who expressed a need of retribution versus the United States Champion... then Shelton Benjamin heads out. Chad Gable is stunned, but Benjamin vocalized his displeasure with Gable and now has an opportunity to defeat Orton and wrestle Gable.Randy Orton fights for his United States Championship rematch against Shelton Benjamin.Chad Gable joined the commentary team and expressed his shock towards Benjamin, but as a competitor he understands. Benjamin and Orton, both veterans, showed they had plenty of left in the tank to challenge Chad Gable. Benjamin would try a springboard attack, but was caught right in a catch-RKO. This had won the match, except Benjamin rolled under the rope. Chad Gable stood up and Orton told Gable to back up, as Orton went after Benjamin and tossed him back inside. Orton then picked Benjamin up, as Benjamin would play possum and try a small package, but Orton popped out at 2 and landed another RKO to silence Shelton Benjamin.
The Viper locked eyes with champion Chad Gable, but Orton did leave the scene for Gable to look after his tag team partner Shelton Benjamin. While Gable was confused, it appears he is forgiving. Announced for tonight are The Usos, Charlotte, and AJ Styles all wrestling to earn their rematches. It is confirmed that AJ Styles would wrestle Jinder Mahal in the main event.
In the ring, it is Mike Kanellis in his return to television, notably without wife Maria. But he is trumped by the debuting NXT sensation, Johnny Gargano!Johnny Gargano debuts on SmackDown Live against Mike Kanellis.Gargano's pop was huge as he took on Mike Kanellis, who actually controlled a good portion of the match. Kanellis wanted to prove himself just as much and was setting a standard. However, once he got caught in a Gargano Escape, it was all over.
Johnny Gargano celebrated his victory by going into the SmackDown Live crowd and exiting through the fans, a true man of the people. Backstage is Charlotte Flair getting an interview. When asked about having to wrestle for her rematch against Asuka, she found no fault in it. Charlotte says whomever she beats tonight will just allow her to regain momentum for when she dethrones Asuka.
The Usos had a different outlook. They came to the ring and prior to their opponents coming to the ring, they expressed their displeasure and even threatened Daniel Bryan's health like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn handled Shane McMahon at WrestleMania. Then heads out their opponents, Breezango, who are accompanied by The Ascension. The Usos fight Breezango in a #1 Contenders Match. The Usos were angered about having to fight for a rematch for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The Usos felt they were on another level and almost claimed their match until The Ascension began to play games. The Ascension were putting Day One Ish tees on, along with gold chains and fake teeth sets. This mockery distracted The Usos for Breeze to hit Beauty Shot on Jey.
After pulling off a remarkable upset, Breezango exited quickly and raced up the ramp with The Ascension as The Usos fused in the ring. After checking Konnor and Viktor out, the Fashion Police handed out some dressing violation tickets to both of them as The Usos continued to rage. The commentators take a moment to address Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, as they mention the attack at WrestleMania was so brutal to be shown on television. They note they are not in attendance tonight because they have been indefinitely suspended. Updating on Shane's health, there is no timetable for his return but is at home.
Asked about his opportunity to become #1 contender for Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE Championship, Mahal feels confident. Mahal recalls when AJ Styles took that title away from him, so he is looking forward to be the man that prevents Styles from getting it back before going on to beat a man he has beaten before in Nakamura.
Dolph Ziggler appears and he limps out to the ring before addressing falling short to John Cena, but doesn't want to hang his head. Ziggler said he had his first singles match at WrestleMania and stole the show, which was a long time coming. Ziggler vows to enter next year's WrestleMania as a champion, and this promise is how we enter a commercial break.
Back from a commercial break, Charlotte Flair heads out for her match and finds out her opponent is a familiar face, Becky Lynch.Charlotte Flair wrestles Becky Lynch once again for the right to challenge Asuka.Becky Lynch was not letting anything pass her this match, seeing the perfect opportunity to get back in the title hunt, yet Charlotte was just as determined. Becky got out of a Figure Four, Charlotte got out of the Dis-arm-her, Becky kicked out of a Natural Selection, but it was Charlotte locking in the Figure Eight that did it in.
After her victory, Charlotte Flair grabbed a microphone and made it clear when she wants the rematch... on May 6th at Backlash! Carmella was shown watching closely this Charlotte Flair match and when approached about cashing her Money in the Bank contract in, she says she will await the right time.Baron Corbin fights Tye Dillinger one-on-one.Baron Corbin came out and just decimated "The Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger from start to finish and it did not take much for Corbin to hit an End of Days to put Dillinger away. It is confirmed that both Charlotte Flair and Breezango will be invoking their title matches at the pay-per-view Backlash. However, Randy Orton is opting to cash in his rematch against United States Champion Chad Gable next week! We then see WWE Champion Shinsuke Nakamura make his way to the ring to sit by the commentary table, not joining the team, but to scout who he will defend against first.AJ Styles battles Jinder Mahal as both men look to become WWE Champion once again.AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal took each other to the limit as Nakamura watched. Mahal had several opportunities, especially considering he avoided the Styles Clash and had a close win with the Khallas. Despite this, AJ hit a beautiful Phenomenal Forearm that got Styles the victory.
After the match, AJ Styles celebrated but quickly shifted his focus to Shinsuke Nakamura who had the WWE Championship in his lap as SmackDown Live goes off the air.

Date: 16 April 2018 Location: XL Center (Hartford, CT) Brand: Monday Night RawTonight, Raw begins with Kurt Angle addressing the Superstar Shakeup news that was broke earlier today and expresses excitement for getting incredible talent on Raw and moving forward. Angle then opted to address how Monday Night Raw ended last week. Angle brought Drew McIntyre out, but Wade Barrett came along with him. Angle said he remembers signing Drew, but not Wade Barrett to a deal. McIntyre said he demands Wade Barrett be signed along with him, or he might as well trade him to SmackDown. Angle tells Barrett he may have a roster spot open, but he'll have to prove himself tonight. Angle lets Barrett know he'll go to the back and get a contract printed off, and if he wins his match tonight, he can sign. When asked who, Kurt Angle shrugs his shoulders and decides on Braun Strowman.Ember Moon encounters Absolution's Sonya Deville in the ring.Defeating Mandy Rose in her debut last week, Ember Moon now has to overcome Sonya Deville. There was a little more outside interference by both Mandy Rose and Paige, trying to get the upperhand on Ember Moon, and the area of target happened to be Ember's arm, which is Sonya Deville's favorite to inflict pain on. However, it was not enough for Ember Moon to hit the Eclipse and win.
Immediately after, Mandy Rose and Paige went to tend to Sonya Deville as Ember's right arm was raised with the other clutched to her body. Charly Caruso is backstage and admits she was scheduled to interview Elias, but he has asked to conduct this interview from an unknown location. Elias appears via satellite and obviously the first question is why, Elias mentions that he is not there in Connecticut tonight and he doesn't intend on being in a WWE arena until the working conditions are safe. Caruso asks Elias about the news broke this weekend that his Backlash opponent is Braun Strowman, and Elias says he will only show up at Backlash if he feels safe, that he has sent his requests into Kurt Angle and will only return until that is met. Elias says until then, he will continue touring and focus on his music career.A Bar Street Fight gives The Bar an opportunity to regain the titles from The Revival. The first "Bar Street Fight" takes place and the tandem of Cesaro and Sheamus laid into The Revival this match, appearing to be in their element. It seemed like a true bar/street fight and Dawson and Wilder had to save each other from pins to save their titles. Yet, it was Sheamus trying to Brogue Kick Dawson on the outside, but Dawson avoided it, then throwing him into the ring post. Dawson then slid inside with Wilder and Cesaro, hitting the Shatter Machine, retaining the belts.
Dawson and Wilder grabbed their belts and hugged each other after a war, leaving the ring as champions still. After a commercial, The Miz is set up for MizTV. The Miz welcomed his guest, Seth Rollins, who headed to the ring and mentioned his displeasure with what took place last week. Rollins then said he isn't fond of what happened last week but would be looking forward to more important things, as he points to Miz's Intercontinental Championship. The Miz waved his finger and refused, in which Universal Champion Roman Reigns came to the ring and mentioned if The Miz is wrestling him at Backlash, that Intercontinental Championship needs to be defended sometime. They double-team Miz about the prestigious title being defended until Kurt Angle comes out, approves of the idea for a main event tonight.
Backstage, Titus Worldwide are talking about the possibilities of being transitioned to SmackDown Live. Apollo says he wants to stay on Raw if possible, but Titus begins to recognize the possibilities for the blue brand, against the likes of AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and even champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Then, Samoa Joe heads up and the room goes silent. Joe warns them to get as far away from Samoa Joe as possible, because 2018 is his year. The Authors of Pain in action against Heath Slater and Rhyno.Paul Ellering's boys Akam and Rezar debuted last week and were just as impressive tonight. Rhyno, and particularly Heath Slater, had no chance against these two behemoths. It was The Last Chapter on Slater that saw the AOP claim a victory. A second vignette is shown of Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy while Hardy continues to pry for what Bray Wyatt encountered in the Lake of Reincarnation. Wyatt said he isn't proud of what happened there, but Matt contends he already knows but it is important for Wyatt to confess.
In the ring is Ronda Rousey, as promised, for the first time since her WrestleMania debut. Rousey tells the fans she cherishes all they had done for her in getting her to this point and that WrestleMania made her fall in love with the business. Rousey acknowledged breaking Stephanie's arm, but also saying how she is only at the bottom and is still willing to climb up the ranks from there. Triple H's music hit and the COO comes out, to whom nobody knew was there tonight, and Triple H grabbed a microphone and congratulated Rousey on a successful WrestleMania debut. Triple H then told Rousey that if she was willing to work from the bottom, then that is exactly what she will do. Triple H then told the production to roll footage, showing Triple H interacting with the janitor, suggesting he take next week off. Triple H then let Rousey know that next week, she will be filling in the role of janitor. Rousey isn't pleased, but still says the right thing and says she will be the best janitor he can ask for. Triple H nods and leaves Rousey be, headed to a commercial.Titus Worldwide's Apollo seeks to humble Samoa Joe in his in-ring return.Samoa Joe surprised everyone by returning from injury last week, but did so with a rude awakening in Apollo's match. After this and the interaction earlier, Samoa Joe had to put his money where his mouth was. Samoa Joe showed no signs of ring rust and while Apollo used his agility for some big moments, he was eventually put to sleep in the Coquina Clutch. Seth Rollins is seen taping up his wrists for tonight's Intercontinental Championship opportunity when Universal Champion Roman Reigns steps up and he fist bumps his former Shield brethren. Reigns tells Rollins that he would like to be at ringside for his main event tonight, knowing the Miztourage would get involved and he wants to be around to even the odds. Rollins nods and says that would be good, right before they shake on it.Free-agent Wade Barrett attempts to earn a Raw contract, but must defeat The Monster Among Men.Drew McIntyre let Wade Barrett into the building last week, and Barrett has to pay for his trespassing with a match versus Braun Strowman. Barrett was obviously not ready for all Strowman would bring about, but it was McIntyre that tossed a drink in Strowman's face to prevent him from hitting the running powerslam on Barrett. Strowman ran after McIntyre, chasing him to the back. By the time Strowman had realized the count was going on, he rushed back but the ten-count had already been completed.
Wade Barrett rolled out of the ring and snatched the Raw contract away from Kurt Angle at the stage and signed on the dotted line, making his return to WWE official, thanks to his new found friend. The Bar were in the back upset about earlier tonight, but vow to get the tag team titles back one day. Cesaro brings up the idea they may be drafted to SmackDown, in which Sheamus scratches his beard and mentions if that is the case, The New Day have another thing coming to him.
Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss is asked about the Superstar Shakeup from Charly Caruso and she mentions her status as Raw champion, so she definitely won't be drafted. Charly Caruso reminds her that anyone can switch brands, that nobody is off limits. Alexa then mentions she wants Charly as far away from her as possible, so hopefully Charly Caruso is drafted away to SmackDown.
Advertised for next week is the Superstar Shakeup, as well as Alexa Bliss in a non-title match against Nia Jax, a rematch from WrestleMania.Seth Rollins attempts to become Intercontinental Champion in the main event versus The Miz.With "The Big Dog" Universal Champion Roman Reigns in his corner, Rollins was giving The Miz all he could handle, and had a fair opportunity because Roman's presence kept Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas away. The Miz and Rollins had a fair bout, but it was when the pace kept up, Seth's premier fitness was a benefit to counter a Skull Crushing Finale with a Pedigree attempt, but as The Miz pushed himself out of the way of that, The Miz ate a superkick and then a Curb Stomp... but The Miz got his foot on the bottom rope!
Rollins was exhausted when The Miz rolled out to ringside, and Roman Reigns was shouting for The Miz to get back inside when The Miz spit at Roman. The Universal Champion did not take well to this and sent an uppercut to the jaw to The Miz, starting a physical altercation and ending this match with a disqualification.
After Roman finished The Miz off with a Superman Punch, threw him in the ring, and hit a Spear; then Seth Rollins realizes what has happened. Rollins shoves Reigns asking why he did that, when Roman argues what The Miz had done. While this argument takes place in the ring, Axel and Dallas pull The Miz to safety and lead him up the ramp.

Date: 17 April 2018 Location: Dunkin Donuts Center (Providence, RI) Brand: SmackDown LiveAJ Styles started tonight's SmackDown Live episode and mentioned the Superstar Shakeup that will take place next week. AJ Styles makes it clear he wants to remain on SmackDown Live, the house that AJ Styles built. Styles says things are out of his hands and anything can happen, but what is for certain is he will be back in seven nights, representing Raw or SmackDown, to reclaim what is rightfully is - officially announcing he will use his rematch for next week. Baron Corbin then stepped out to tell Styles that once he is finished with Nakamura, he'll want the very first opportunity at the title. This was met by Sunsil Singh and Jinder Mahal, whom despite losing to AJ Styles last week, claims he still is the Modern Day Maharaja and Styles nor Nakamura can live up to his time as champion. The champion rebutted this at the curtain, saying he would take on all challengers after he puts a "knee to face" to AJ Styles. While Styles was locked in on his challenger, Corbin and Mahal jumped Styles. Nakamura rushed down to even the odds, and it ended up being a Styles Clash to Sunil Singh, followed by a Kinshasa while Corbin and Mahal got out of dodge.
After a commercial, the main event was announced. Before they meet in seven days for the WWE Championship, AJ Styles and champion Shinsuke Nakamura team up against the disgruntled Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin. With Breezango providing commentary, The Usos look for revenge after The Ascension's involvement last week.As Breezango spoke highly of themselves after beating The Usos last week, and refuting the "upset" label, they watched on as The Ascension battled The Usos. The Usos were highly upset after Konnor and Viktor's involvement in last week's match. While The Ascension nearly upset The Usos yet again with Viktor closely getting a 3-count on a roll-up, he was then met with a superkick by Jimmy Uso. This is when The Usos asserted their dominance and ended the match with a backbreaker hold applied by Jimmy followed by an elbow drop by Jey.
After the match, The Usos grabbed a hold of the microphone and looked at Breezango, giving them props for winning last week and wishes them luck at Backlash against The New Day. However, The Usos made it clear that if they ever get in the ring again, Breezango will be locked in the Uso Penitentiary. Backstage, Chad Gable meets with Renee Young about tonight's title defense against Randy Orton. Chad Gable says he is grateful for his WrestleMania moment by climbing the ladder and becoming the United States Champion, but recognizes the fact he did not pin Randy Orton. Tonight he sees as an opportunity to beat Orton one-on-one and instantly make this title reign credible. Shelton Benjamin pops in and tells Gable he will have his back tonight, but Gable insists on him staying behind.Following his WrestleMania defeat to John Cena, a confident Dolph Ziggler looks to beat Bobby Roode. This old rivalry from 2017 was renewed tonight as Roode and Ziggler went to battle. Ziggler was showing off his newfound confidence in this match, not so much with arrogance but the fact he let his improvement show and embodied this new attitude. Roode posed a threat, but it was a Superkick that pushed Roode back into the ropes, and when Roode stumbled back, Ziggler hit a Zig-Zag to complete the win.
After the match, John Cena's music hit and instantly Dolph's face went dull. Out ran John Cena to the ring, and simultaneously Ziggler retreated. Cena marched around, letting it be known that he and Ziggler are not through just yet. The commentary team discuss John Cena's first appearance since WrestleMania and go straight to the ring when another makes their first appearance since Mania, the new SmackDown Women's Champion Asuka! Asuka can't get a word out before the former champion Charlotte Flair comes out to meet Asuka. Charlotte extends her hand to Asuka and they shake hands. Asuka lets Charlotte know, in brief words, she did well. Charlotte tells Asuka she intends on ending the undefeated streak and taking her title. Charlotte says wrestling Asuka once, she knows what it takes. Asuka insists she still isn't ready for Asuka before brushing past her challenger at Backlash.
Backstage, Daniel Bryan meets Renee Young who asks about the statuses of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Bryan continues to say their suspension is for an indefinite timeframe, as is the return of commissioner Shane McMahon from his injuries. Bryan feels it wouldn't be right for either to compete while Shane is sitting at home because of their actions. When asked about the Superstar Shakeup moving Owens and Zayn to Raw, Bryan said he wants the best talent on SmackDown, but he also wants those who will behave and represent the SmackDown Live brand well.Chad Gable defends the United States Championship against former champion Randy Orton.Gable is out to prove in his first title defense that he is on the level of the likes of Randy Orton, keeping teammate Shelton Benjamin backstage. Gable, honestly, struggled with the experience edge going to Orton. Gable's moves were being reversed and Orton would capitalize on every mistake, but Gable had enough heart to remain in the match. Orton had caught him in a rope-hung DDT and was aiming to get an RKO, but out came Shelton Benjamin who hopped on the apron and distracted Orton. Orton had then punched Benjamin and hit a rope-hung DDT before Gable used this opportunity to hit a bridging German Suplex and Orton didn't get his shoulder off the mat in time.
As Gable rolled out the ring, Benjamin rushed for the title and went to hand it to Gable, but it was snatched in the transition. Gable fussed at Benjamin for getting involved and left Benjamin on his lonesome as Orton had sneaked out the ring, turned Benjamin around, and hit an RKO on the floor. Backstage, Renee Young was with Johnny Gargano who debuted last week. When asked how it felt, Gargano recalls the thrill of the WWE Universe embracing him and realizing a dream that had been of his since he was a kid. MoJo Rawley was not that embracing of Gargano, interrupting the interview and telling Johnny those dreams will only last a moment because if he hasn't been given an opportunity, then a kid Gargano's size would never have a shot. Gargano disagrees, as Rawley says if he wants, he'll give Gargano an opportunity next week against him. Johnny nods his head, as MoJo laughs and heads off.Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Natalya try to top the Riott Squad in 6-woman tag action. The trio of Lynch, Naomi, and Natalya aim to take down the well-oiled machine that is the Riott Squad. It was Sarah Logan that was hammering away at Becky towards the end, and while Naomi tried to save the day, she ate a boot from Ruby Riott. This allowed Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan to work together, finishing Becky Lynch off with Logan placing Lynch in a fireman's carry, followed by a diving neckbreaker by Liv to win this match.
Afterward, Becky Lynch is shown stressed after dropping two matches in consecutive weeks while the Riott Squad is pictured as a cohesive unit. Ruby Riott takes the time to grab a mic for themselves and each take turns making it known that the Riott Squad will not be split up this draft, and if they dare to place them on different shows, the Riott Squad will only take that opportunity to destroy the landscape of both Raw and SmackDown Live. The likes of Baron Corbin, Carmella, The New Day, Tye Dillinger, and Zack Ryder are all asked on pre-recorded videos thoughts on next week's Superstar Shakeup. Differing answers, while Carmella viewed cashing in on Alexa Bliss as a feat, The New Day wondering what it would be like to be both SmackDown and Raw Tag Team Champions, and Zack making it "Monday Night Ryder." Superstar Shakeup next week!
Announced for next week, in addition to the Superstar Shakeup, is the match between Johnny Gargano and MoJo Rawley. Plus, no matter what happens this Monday, AJ Styles gets his rematch against Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship. And now, the tag team main event!Seven nights before a WWE Championship showdown, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura team up against Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal.Styles and Nakamura showed no signs of divide as they took on Corbin and Mahal, but they didn't display much teamwork either. They fought in the match as if it was 1-on-1 and tagged when necessary. AJ Styles was getting the beating by Corbin and Mahal until Nakamura called for the tag, and after a Pele Kick to Mahal, Styles was able to make his way to Nakamura who took on both men, with Corbin now legal also. This continued until Shinsuke Nakamura was throttled by Mahal and Styles responded with a Phenomenal Forearm, allowed Nakamura to refocus his attention to Corbin and hitting a Kinshasa to get the fall.
After this contest, Nakamura got his title and as the official went to raise both hands, Styles then looked at the champion, realizing what is next ahead. Styles holds up seven fingers after Nakamura's staredown, and backing out of the ring, reminding Nakamura of the title match next week. And remember to tune into the Superstar Shakeup next week!

Date: 23 April 2018 Location: Scottrade Center (St. Louis, MO) Brand: Monday Night RawRaw tonight begins with MizTV hosted by Intercontinental Champion, along with the #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship, The Miz and his Miztourage. The Miz was calling Reigns a ticking time bomb and an irrational champion, so he has now convinced Kurt Angle to stipulate their match at Backlash that if Reigns gets disqualified, he will LOSE the Universal Championship. Just then, Seth Rollins heads to the ring and reminds The Miz he never lost, so he wants a rematch here tonight! The Miz brushed this aside, saying Rollins is not his guest, and demands he gets one of the newest Raw superstars... out comes Randy Orton, to the shock of many! The Viper makes his way to the ring with familiar faces in Rollins and Miz, before turning to the champion and saying he is the guest and he wants a title match tonight. The Miz refuses until Kurt Angle heads out. Angle says he allowed The Miz that stipulation, but he won't allow him the night off, making the main event for tonight a triple threat for the Intercontinental Championship!
In the ring, The Bar are ready to compete for a title shot at Backlash for The Revival's titles. Challenging them, coming from SmackDown Live, are The Ascension! The Ascension arrive on Raw, competing in a #1 Contenders Match with The Bar.The Ascension seemed to be taking advantage of their new scenery to revive their career, looking better than ever, but The Bar still being a formidable team, yet having all they can handle. When The Ascension set up for Fall of Man on Cesaro, Jimmy Uso jumped over the barricade and onto the apron, distracting the official and Viktor, while Jey jumped on the other side and hit a superkick to Konnor. When Jey rolled out and Jimmy hopped down, The Bar took Viktor and hit the Spinebuster/Brogue combo to secure title opportunities.
As The Bar celebrated a huge title match secured at Backlash, The Usos made it clear they are now a part of Monday Night Raw and have not forgotten about The Ascension's tactics back on SmackDown Live. Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett are invited to Kurt Angle's office, when they are informed that Braun Strowman is not a happy monster after last week. Barrett said it does not matter, because he won his contract and signed. Angle acknowledged this, but said it does matter in the fact that Braun Strowman has requested a match tonight. Wade Barrett refuses to wrestle him again, but this is when Angle says he requested Drew McIntyre. McIntyre tries to keep a tough face best he can.Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss square off in a WrestleMania rematch.Albeit a non-title contest, Nia Jax did not take this opportunity lightly. When things went rough for Alexa and ate a Samoan Drop, the duo of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce came to help Bliss, but to no prevail as Nia Jax intimidated them to stay back and hit a running leg drop to pin the Raw Women's Champion.
Immediately after the bell, Kay and Royce decided to charge for it and began to attack the Raw Women's Champion. This was met with Becky Lynch's music hitting! Becky Lynch is on Monday Night Raw! Straight Fire came out and evened the odds, then finishing Billie Kay off with a Bex-Plex. Randy Orton gets interviewed by Charly Caruso about being back on Monday Night Raw. Orton says he accomplished a lot on SmackDown Live, becoming a 13-time world champion and winning the United States Championship for the very first time. Caruso then directs a question towards tonight's Intercontinental Championship triple threat match. Orton admits while he's been on SmackDown, he's familiar with both Rollins and The Miz. Orton says it has been so long since he held the Intercontinental Championship, so that will be what he takes tonight.
A vignette is shown of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt as Matt continues to attempt a breakthrough in Bray for what he saw in the Lake of Reincarnation. Matt then reasons with Bray and says he will leave Bray to his own thoughts, but when he is ready, he may tell him. Matt leaves the screen, showing Bray in deep thought.Drew McIntyre landed himself in hot water with the Monster Among Men and a 1-on-1 match came about.McIntyre had Wade Barrett as backup, but that backup doesn't matter too much if he, too, is frightened by your opponent. McIntyre and Barrett had to use their intelligence and combined experience against Braun Strowman to stand a chance, but Strowman's power could still be too much for a man strong in his own, McIntyre. But a recount of what happened last week began, as Strowman chased Barrett around the ring, until he realized the count. Strowman got in before the count of ten and McIntyre was about to get it, until we heard a guitar. Elias was appearing via satellite and told Strowman that he is a victim when he should feel like a winner after the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This distracted Strowman enough for McIntyre to get in front of Strowman and hit the Claymore Kick! McIntyre got a quick three as Barrett held down his leg, before Strowman could get out.
McIntyre rolled out of the ring and met Barrett as they backtracked up the ramp. Elias remained on the screen and strummed the guitar a few times before letting an irate Braun Strowman know that he may or may not be appearing at Backlash for their match if he doesn't work to help the working conditions. A reminder of Triple H's orders to Ronda Rousey last week, we see footage filmed throughout the day of Rousey working as a janitor and Triple H constantly coming up, intentionally spilling drinks, smearing banana on the wall, and other things to infuriate Rousey. Rousey remained patient through all this, when we go to live footage of Ronda Rousey talking to people backstage when Triple H walks up to her and says there was a toilet stuffed in the bathroom. Rousey heads over to the women's bathroom, but Triple H redirects her to the men's. We hear Curt Hawkins whistle when she walks in, yet Rousey quickly ends that, before headed to do her task.Bayley teams with Ember Moon to assist her in her beef with Absolution.Bayley had to carry much of the load as Ember Moon battled with a bandaged arm after last week's episode. When Ember Moon was in, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville took full advantage of the wounded limb. Yet, when Bayley got the tag in, she went off. Bayley nearly executed a Bayley-to-Belly on Mandy Rose, yet she was leveled from behind by Deville. Rose's finisher, dubbed "The Thorn," secured a win for Absolution.
It was after the match Paige instructed them to double team Ember Moon, in which they did so. However, this was halted by the music of the Riott Squad! Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, and Ruby Riott all headed down and stepped inside the ring as Riott Squad and Absolution met face-to-face for the first time. It was a standstill before Absolution was instructed to leave the ring. Seth Rollins gets interviewed by Charly Caruso about tonight's Intercontinental Championship opportunity. Rollins says he would have won last week had it not been for The Miz weaseling his way out of defending it like a man. Rollins makes it clear in a triple threat, there are no disqualifications, and therefore, The Miz does not know what is coming to him tonight.
Kurt Angle heads to the ring, commenting on a successful night of the Superstar Shakeup. This is interrupted by another superstar coming over, Kevin Owens! Owens, coming off a suspension from SmackDown, heads out and lets Angle know he did what was right for business and for Raw. Kurt Angle said he was offered an actual low price for Owens, which the Prizefighter wasn't thrilled about, but jumped right to business by putting his name in the hat to face the winner of Reigns and Miz for the Universal Championship. Before an answer came, Rusev interrupted! The leader of Rusev Day argued that he should be the face of Monday Night Raw as everyday is Rusev Day! This was then countered by the "Modern Day Maharaja" Jinder Mahal, accompanied by Sunil Singh, and the ring is filling up with ex-SmackDown Live superstars. Mahal said he didn't want to be here, but he got sent here, so he will want to become the Universal Champion. Angle then regains control and points to all three men and admitting they are all coming from SmackDown Live but must earn any opportunity they get, unlike on SmackDown Live. Kurt Angle says he'll make a tag team match, as Kevin Owens and Jinder Mahal team up against Rusev... and before he could answer, Kevin Owens interrupted smartly about there only being three. Angle then announces another superstar moving to Raw from SmackDown Live... and it's Chris Jericho! Owens throws a fit as this old rival heads out to the biggest pop of the night. With each of these trying to get a fresh start on Raw, Jinder Mahal and Kevin Owens team up to face Rusev and Chris Jericho.A pleasant surprise to see Chris Jericho back in a wrestling ring. He looked as if he had not left his prime, but the main thing we saw is an even balance. For a few moments it would be Mahal and Owens in control, and then Rusev and Jericho would take over. The match finished off when Rusev had Mahal trapped in the Accolade, but Owens came in and kicked Rusev in the face. This was met with Chris Jericho battling with Owens. As Jericho and Owens battled, Mahal went for a Khallas but Rusev had reversed it and tried to get an Accolade locked in once more. Jericho tried a Codebreaker on Kevin Owens, but Owens used this to push Jericho off, and onto Rusev and Mahal, breaking the pin. Owens then through Jericho outside the ring before taking Rusev and hitting a Popup Powerbomb on him. Owens fussed at Mahal to make the cover, in which he did so in time.
After the match, Kevin Owens forced the ref to raise his hand, and his hand only, being very vocal towards Mahal that he will be the biggest acquisition from SmackDown Live. The Miz has an interview slot with Charly Caruso, yet The Miz takes over before the first question. Miz complains that his organized MizTV show was not valued by Seth Rollins, by Randy Orton, by Kurt Angle, by the fans, nobody. The Miz even blames Caruso for not respecting it. Caruso gets her question in about the Intercontinental Championship defense. The Miz said his purpose was to hold this title, along with the WWE Universal Championship. The Miz vows to accomplish just that.
In Kurt Angle's office, a very busy night, he is interrupted on the phone by Dolph Ziggler. Angle welcomed Dolph Ziggler to Raw, but Ziggler mentions he doesn't feel welcomed. Dolph said he should have had a match tonight, but he was sent here and coming to his office at the right time with the cameras is the only way he gets on TV? Ziggler takes a moment to wave at the cameras, but Angle said that the card was full, but he does have something big in store for Ziggler, admitting to already scheduling a match at Backlash. Dolph listens intently, but when he finds out his opponent is John Cena, Ziggler is conflicted.
Prior to the main event tonight, the commentary team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Coach are discussing what has went down tonight as part of the Superstar Shakeup. Graves said the acquisitions have been so large, topped by the likes of Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, and Kevin Owens, that Raw is an automatic winner for the week. Coach is concerned of the wrestlers Raw could lose, like Seth Rollins, The Miz, Roman Reigns. They then mention a few matches made for Backlash on May 6th. Along with Ziggler versus Cena, another rematch from WrestleMania takes place as Alexa Bliss defends against Nia Jax. In addition to, it will be Absolution versus the Riott Squad for the first time. It's set to be a great show! The Miz defends his Intercontinental Championship against both Seth Rollins and Randy Orton in a triple threat. The Miz was in a bad spot getting double-teamed by Rollins and Orton from the start, but once The Miz was taken care of, the alliance went out the window. Orton hit a RKO Outta Nowhere and if it wasn't for Seth instinctively rolling to the outside, Orton would have won there. This match goes on another 15+ minutes, and it nearly ends with The Miz avoiding a Curb Stomp and then hit a Reality Check. The Miz then attempts to go for a Skull Crushing Finale, when Orton turns him around and hits an RKO. Orton takes a deep breath before hooking the leg, but he's pulled out of the ring and locked into a Coquina Clutch on the floor. Joe has Orton locked in and passing out! Joe lets go and backs up from the scene, leaving Orton unconscious. The referee turns around after this event, but Rollins only sees The Miz stirring in the ring, so Rollins hits a Curb Stomp and the official gets the three count.
Seth's music hit as Rollins is handed his newly won Intercontinental Championship, completing the Grand Slam victory, without any knowledge that Samoa Joe assisted in the process. Randy Orton is tending to by the referee of the contest on the outside as Rollins ends the night celebrating. After the show is off, there is a promo with the reminder to watch Superstar Shakeup continue tomorrow night on SmackDown Live.

Why can’t WWE produce shows like this in real life? Your work is exceptional man! Sorry it’s taken me so long to shoot you my thoughts. Your WrestleMania was full of emotional and iconic moments, and you’ve carried thaf into Raw and SmackDown. I’m so stoked to see the rematch between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura!
