Other Notable Signings

After TNA took care of business adding global-renown talents, they had to round out the remainder of its roster by adding some of the future for not only TNA, but professional wrestling as a whole.


Facade
Facade has tried out for TNA in the past, back in 2011, but TNA has decided to add the much-improved mystique to its roster.

John Skyler
Otherwise known as "The Southern Savior," Skyler will be coming into TNA for his first "main roster gig."

Behind it All

Now that the roster has been taken care of, we finally found out WHO was behind it all and their roles moving forward.



Don Callis
The idea to rebrand TNA came from the mind of Don Callis himself and is the "head honcho" in charge of everything TNA. The team he wants he has assembled, both roster-wise and production-wise.


Gail Kim
The pioneer of the TNA Knockouts Division will be helping out the renamed Women's competition. Kim's stated while it's thin, it'll grow over time to be the best the industry has to offer.


Jimmy Jacobs
Jacobs has fans of his wrestling brilliance and will be helping in this new reincarnation.


Joseph Park; fka "Abyss"
Abyss has stepped away from the Black Hole to put on a black suit. Abyss has left the ring and will help backstage.


Raven
The man they call Raven will be apart of TNA's shenanigans backstage, and Callis values his role in the early TNA, as well as his experience in an "authentic, hardcore" ECW.


Jeff Jarrett
The founder of TNA Wrestling is back at it! Jeff Jarrett has set aside his Global Force Wrestling brand to focus on his first love, TNA. Jarrett, while not being the head of it, will have a major say in the product.

It has been announced that TNA's flagship Impact Wrestling will be returning on January 25, 2019. What has ran for 736 episodes, will run its 737^th and beyond on its YouTube channel. Impact will be broadcast on YouTube, an episode uploaded each Thursday night.

The show starts with Jeff Jarrett, who addresses the new era for TNA. Jarrett commends everyone behind the scenes for working to bring the best product to the fans, and he's so thankful to be apart of TNA once more. Jarrett said he may not be seen much on TV, but there's someone close to him that will be on the scenes and has been hired as the official Impact General Manager. The name announced is former world champion, multi-time tag team champion, and his good friend, JAMES STORM!

James Storm makes a very passionate speech of his beliefs in TNA that they can get back to where they were, and far beyond. Storm recalled the prime of TNA ten years ago, and the team assembled knows how to give back. Storm then says with a new regime, it's totally new! Storm says each championship has been vacated and everyone will have an opportunity. Of course, Austin Aries shows up and disagrees. Aries demands he get handed his rightful world title, but Storm disagrees. Storm clarifies that every man on the roster will have an opportunity to qualify for a Gauntlet Match to crown the new champion. Storm lets Aries know that tonight's main event will feature him trying to qualify for this, against... well, Storm leaves that to be a mystery. Storm then shoos A-Double away before personally introducing the ring announcer for TNA's weekly episodic YouTube show, Impact, Justin Roberts!

In the first qualifier for the World Title Gauntlet, this was high-tempo X-Division action as well, which commentators Matt Striker and Taz stressed was going to be a huge part of TNA's new brand. The match began to wind down when Ishimori hit a Telerana on Everett, and nearly got the 2, but Sydal broke it up. Sydal and Ishimori fought it out before Ishimori hit the Cobra Clutch Suplex. Ishimori went up for the 450 Splash, but Sydal lifted his knees up, which Ishimori flipped right into a Spanish Fly by Andrew Everett. Everett then pulled Ishimori over and hit a 630 Senton! Everett went for the cover, yet kicked in the back of the head by Matt Sydal. Everett rolled over, which Sydal went and hit the Shooting Sydal Press on Ishimori. As Matt hooked the leg, Everett re-emerged and hit a diving double foot stomp on the back of Sydal's neck. Everett pulled Sydal away from Ishimori and the ropes, securing the first spot in the World Title Gauntlet Match.

Christy Hemme and Da Pope introduce the "Impact Lounge" where they will bring on some of the fans' favorites, and some they despise, to hear from the people themselves. They welcome their first guest, the man in charge, Don Callis. Hemme asks Callis about what he's seen so far, and Callis admits it has been a long process to bring TNA back. Callis said they ended their television deal, and in four months, restructured the entire crew, the entire roster, and now are at square one. Callis said so far, it's been to a great start, and he wouldn't have changed the opening match any other way. Da Pope asks about the rebellious side shown by Austin Aries earlier. Callis gives a generic answer that he understands the frustration, but there's a reason things are progressing this way, and James Storm is doing an amazing job.

Closing Moments:

In a massive triple threat to see who would qualify for the World Title Gauntlet Match, it was a completely different pace to the match than the one prior. Each tried establishing physical dominance over the other, and it was difficult for each to do. Kongo Kong began to take over, hitting a few lariats on his opponents, then squashing both of them in the corner. Kongo Kong then hit a Cannonball on Fallah Bah, then attempted to do one on Moose, but Moose had eluded the move. Moose stood up and rose up and hit a Game Breaker, but with it not taking Kongo Kong down, hit a Go 2 Hell and pinned Kongo Kong before Fallah Bah could make it to him.

In the backstage area, Austin Aries is seen heated with James Storm over tonight's match. Aries is bringing up the fact he should be handed HIS world title that he never lost. Storm says everyone is fighting for the crown, so he will need to fall in line with everyone else. Aries says he isn't like everyone else, that he is better than everyone else, that is why he was the reigning world champion, and still should be. Storm just advised Aries to go get dressed for his match in the main event tonight, and when asked who his opponents would be, Storm said it'll just be one. Aries tried to pry that information out, but Storm would not budge.

Closing Moments:

With Andrew Everett and Moose already qualified, these three men went to war to put their names on the list. Strickland and Cuerno started the match bouncing off the walls and John Skyler was overwhelmed. Skyler tried getting in on the action, but had trouble gaining balance on the top rope as he jumped off to the outside, when Strickland and Cuerno casually stepped away. After that, when Skyler recovered, he worked with Cuerno on grounding Strickland, before the Southern Savior turned on Cuerno and grounded him as well.

As the match drew to a close, John Skyler signaled for the Spoiler Alert, but Strickland avoided it and hit a spinning heel kick that rocked Skyler, before hit a jumping knee strike. Strickland was then caught with a clothesline that toppled him over the ropes, before King Cuerno sent an arrow through the ropes to the floor. Cuerno immediately got back in the ring and hit Thrill of the Kill on John Skyler to join Everett and Moose in the Gauntlet.

Returning to the Impact Lounge with Christy Hemme and Da Pope, they host Dezmond X. When Da Pope asks for his impression on the new TNA so far, Dezmond X mentions he loves it. Dezmond mentions that is why he is now going by Dezmond X, is because it's not only a rebrand of TNA, but it's a rebrand of his own career. Hemme mentions his match next week for an opportunity to qualify for the World Title Gauntlet, in which Dezmond X responds that he wants to become a Triple Crown Champion, which includes the tag titles, the X-Division title, and the World Championship. Xavier lets Trevor Lee and Kushida know that it isn't anything personal, but anyone who stands in the way of his goals, is going to get x-iled.

Back to the ring in this YouTube debut for Impact Wrestling, Eli Drake comes down. Eli Drake lets everyone know that he opted to re-sign with TNA for one reason, and that is to somehow save this dump from oblivion. Eli Drake tells Don Callis, Jeff Jarrett, James Storm, and everyone else in TNA to bow down and worship him, because unlike the wannabe 'Southern Savior' John Skyler who couldn't even win a match, he is the true savior of Impact Wrestling. Eli self-proclaims himself as the Messiah, when he mentions that he is competing next week for the opportunity to qualify for the World Title Gauntlet. Eli Drake sets forth the prophecy that he will beat Kage next week and qualify. This is met by "The Machine" Kage, who disagrees completely with that statement, and he's coming down to save the crowd from hearing Eli Drake anymore. As Kage enters, Eli Drake retreats and opts to not engage Kage until next week's main event.

Moose is taking off his boots in the shared locker room area when James Storm walks in. Storm makes Moose aware that he will be competing again next week, in which Moose is concerned, but the Impact General Manager ensures that his spot in the Gauntlet is secure. Storm says that Kongo Kong has requested a 1-on-1 match, and he's granted as such. Moose nods, as he looks to next week.

Austin Aries arrives upset that he has to qualify to be in the World Title Gauntlet, a match for the championship he never lost. Aries awaits his opponent, until the music hits... The name appears "Newcastle" and then the music turns, and out comes the man that many fans know from across the universe. This man is handed a microphone about midway to the ring, and he begins by saying in a new regime in TNA, it needs a Newcastle. He introduces himself as Benjamin Newcastle, your next TNA World Champion. Newcastle smirks and makes his way to the ring, going toe-to-toe with Austin Aries, a man he's familiar with from years past.

Closing Moments:

With fans overtaken by the arrival of Benjamin Newcastle in TNA, including Aries, this knocked Aries off his game early. Newcastle delivered several big kicks and when Aries retreated to the outside, Newcastle hit an over-the-top rope moonsault plancha. Newcastle had the advantage when they got it back in the ring, but an attempt to hit a pop-up sitout powerbomb, Aries countered into a hurricanrana, which sent Newcastle straight into the middle turnbuckle. Aries would take over and ground Newcastle. Aries and Newcastle would go back and forth until Aries avoided a Roundhouse Kick, then hit a Discus Forearm.

Newcastle fell to the mat and Aries went for a Brainbuster, but Newcastle blocked it and instead hit a Northern Lights Suplex. Newcastle then went up to the top rope and hit an Imploding 450 Splash! Newcastle hooked the leg, but Aries grabbed the bottom rope above his head. Newcastle stood up and asked the referee, but as he went back to his opponent, Aries hit an STO, followed by the Powerdrive Elbow. Following it with a pinfall, Newcastle kicked out prior to losing his spot in the Gauntlet. Aries got frustrated and moved Newcastle into position for a 450 Splash, in which Neville kipped-up and hit a dropkick to Aries, as Aries fell off and to the floor!

Everyone's raised concern as Aries laid on the floor after a vicious fall, as newcomer Benjamin Newcastle rested in the ring for his debut. Newcastle got up and saw Aries rising to his feet, so he goes for a springboard 360 lariat, but Aries moved out of the way and Newcastle ate the steel guardrail. Aries tumbled to the side and as the cameras looked at Newcastle on his hands and knees trying to get to a vertical base, Aries had grabbed a steel chair and whacked Newcastle in the back. The official immediately signaled for the bell.

Aries mouthed off to the fans in the front row and lashed the chair over Newcastle's back again.. and again.. and again.. and again. Aries tossed the chair to the side and was sure to shout to the cameras that he is the TNA World Champion, no matter what anyone says, despite Newcastle qualifying for the Gauntlet via disqualification. Aries then picked Newcastle up and threw him inside. Aries said that Newcastle will regret ever coming to TNA, when he lifts him up and hits a Brainbuster. The sight that the YouTube audience is left with is Aries leaving Newcastle knocked out in the ring after a brutal post-match assault.
