Trade!Lions Trade:RB Theo Riddick2019 5th RD PickRavens Trade:TE Nick BoyleNick Boyle will be given a big opportunity in Detroit. With Brent Celek cemented in as the #1 TE, Boyle will need to beat out fellow TE Devon Cajuste for the #2 job. Although Celek is the #1, he isn’t as big of a passing option as he use to be, which means it could be Boyle or Cajuste seeing majority of the passes.

Trade!Lions Trade:CB Darius Slay JrWR Golden Tate IIILB Eli HaroldBrowns Trade:CB Denzel WardLB Christian KirkseyThe Lions managed to get to big names in this deal. The first is the 2018 4th overall pick, CB Denzel Ward. Ward will instantly step in as the team’s #1 CB. The other is LB Christian Kirksey, and he will be joining Derrick Johnson on the inside. Like Johnson, Kirksey also has excellent leadership skills. My thoughts: Giving up Slay must have been hard, but getting Denzel Ward is an upgrade in the long run, because Ward will develop. Kirksey is a nice addition too.
Trade!Lions Trade:FS Glover QuinLB Christian Jones2020 1st RD PickSteelers Trade:OLB Bud DupreeCB Mike HiltonThe Lions find two more starting defenders in this one. Mike Hilton will start as the team’s primary slot corner while Bud Dupree will start at one of the OLB positions. My thoughts: I'm not entirely sold because of the first-round pick. Bud Dupree is nice, but giving up Quin or that 1st should have been enough.
Trade!Lions Trade:TE Luke WillsonDE Ziggy AnsahSS Tavon WilsonTexans Trade:LB Jadeveon ClowneyFS Andre HalThe new look Lions continue to solidify their defense. Andre Hal comes in as the team’s new starting FS as he will start opposite of Eric Reid. Meanwhile Jadeveon Clowney switches back to his college position of DT! The hope is that Clowney becomes an absolute run stuffer that can also generate a pass rush. My thoughts: Clowney as a DT? WOW! That's going to be intriguing.
Trade!Lions Trade:DT A’Shawn RobinsonSeahawks Trade:LB Shaquem GriffinThe Lions complete their starting LB core with the rookie from UCF, Shaquem Griffin.
My thoughts: With moving Clowney to DT, Robinson wasn't necessary anymore, so this may be good.
Trade!Lions Trade: OT Taylor DeckerOT Rick Wagner2019 1st RD PickSteelers Trade:WR JuJu Smith-SchusterJuJu Smith-Schuster will join Quincy Enunwa was the opposite starting outside WR. The price to bring JuJu to Detroit wasn’t cheap, but that just shows the confidence that the new regime has in the 2nd year wideout. My thoughts: After giving away Golden Tate, a wide receiver was a nice addition. However, that was a steep price. You can overcome the first-round pick. But you lost your protection with Decker and Wagner. Hopefully you can compensate and recover from that.
Lions Trade:DT Sylvester WilliamsRB Ameer AbdullahFalcons Trade:DE Steven MeansSteven Means enters Detroit as a depth man, but his physical playing style just may give him a chance to start at one of the DE positions. My thoughts: Not sure this will impact you as much as the other trades. Means will be nice in case of injury, however.
Trade!Lions Trade:RB LeGarrette BlountRB Kerryon Johnson2019 7th RD PickBroncos Trade:WR DaeSean HamiltonFB Andy JanovichNow the offense is starting to come together as the Lions acquire two new starters. The rookie out of Penn State, DaeSean Hamilton will be the starting slot WR while the versatile Andy Janovich will start at FB. My thoughts: Janovich will need to block with the OL losses in trades. Looks like you're ridding your backfield though. Where's the depth there? lol
