Most likely. I think the Eagles bring in somebody and ride with Corey Clement as the starter for now. I wouldn’t mind bringing Ajayi back on a prove it deal. He’s got plenty of time to heal up. But unfortunately I don’t see it happening.
Ajayi's role moving forward, if he bounces back from the torn ACL, will likely be a third-down back and will be used plenty in the redzone. Ajayi can score and has the will to do so. I just hate this. The knock on him coming out of college was his knee issues and he's been perfectly fine up to this point, and now he's back to square one.
I'd still love to see him on the Cowboys in that role, preserve Elliott a little bit in those situations.
