Michael Cole and Tyson Kidd welcome their newest colleague Corey Graves to the commentary table, ready for his first night of action. Paul Heyman kicks tonight's episode off by introducing the newest addition to the Monday Night Raw roster, Intercontinental Champion, Baron Corbin! Corbin was built up as the next big thing on Raw, and reminds everyone that he's seen the "next big thing" become a "beast." Heyman declares Corbin a future WWE World Heavyweight Champion and is interrupted by Finn Balor, the real champion. Balor challenges Corbin to a match then and there, and despite Heyman's hesitancy, Corbin goes ahead and accepts.
Finn Balor def. Baron Corbin w/Paul Heyman in a Champion versus Champion Match Despite Heyman's wishes, Corbin fought and got more than he bargained for, losing his Raw debut to a Coup de Grace. Roman Reigns is welcomed by Charly Caruso backstage, but corrects her to say "Emperor" Roman Reigns. Once Caruso asks about beating Daniel Bryan last week, he just laughed. Reigns said tonight in his match with Neville, he puts him down like a peasant and lets gravity get a hold of him.
Back to the ring, we hear the New York's Finest music hit. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady come and mention their new home has been found on Raw. They get excited before their match up next, versus Christian and Tomko.
New York's Finest def. Christian & Tomko Bada-Boom Shakalaka, at the expense of Christian, gave Amore and Cassady their first win on Raw. Sami Zayn is interviewed by Charly Caruso about his United States Championship defense against Kevin Owens tonight, but then flips the script on Baron Corbin's arrival as Intercontinental Champion. Zayn says he's not sure if he'll be traded to SmackDown, but he is focused on tonight. During this interview, Zayn is ambushed by Samoa Joe. Joe brutalizes Sami Zayn before throwing him into the monitor behind him.
Kalisto awaits in the ring before Kaval makes his way down! Kaval is coming by himself, which could mean he and girlfriend Emma are on separate brands now.
Kaval def. Kalisto It appears a more focused Kaval arrived on Raw tonight, striking Kalisto at every opportunity, and finishing him off with a Dragon Clutch submission. WWE Divas Champion Charlotte came to the ring after the commercial and made the comment that she has not had competition in a long time, so she hopes that this WWE Shipwrecked brings forth someone on her level. And to her wishes, Sasha Banks came out! Sasha made this statement by getting in Charlotte's face and the Queen backed down. As Charlotte made her way up the ramp, she's attacked from behind by two women. At the shock of everyone, this is Billie Kay and Peyton Royce from NXT! Kay and Royce attack as Banks heads to the ramp, approving. Banks then orders them to slam Charlotte into the LED board and the champion has to be tended to during another commercial break.
After Graves expresses shock about the arrival of Kay and Royce, they recap the attack earlier by Samoa Joe, and go straight into the ladder match where it is clear that Zayn is not 100%.
Kevin Owens def. Sami Zayn(c) to win the United States Championship in a Ladder Match Zayn put up a great fight, but as he slowly climbed the ladder, he was caught and Owens powerbombed Zayn to the outside on a bridged ladder, and Owens climbed to retrieve his third United States Championship. Backstage, Sasha Banks is with Peyton Royce and Billie Kay when Charly Caruso tries to get word. Banks shrugs Caruso off as they leave the arena, where Caruso reports that this is unreal. Caruso says she's known Kay and Royce for a while down in NXT, and she's stunned of what transpired tonight. Commentator Corey Graves, also coming from NXT, has agreed. They then go to the ring where an arrogant Joe Hennig awaits his competition... to find out it is Kane!
Kane def. Joe Hennig In Hennig's renewed singles career, it is Kane's Raw return that has the upperhand after a chokeslam ends Hennig. General Manager Trish Stratus is in her office when a knock is heard, and in comes American Alpha from SmackDown. Stratus welcomes Jason Jordan and Chad Gable to the Raw roster as part of WWE Shipwrecked. Jordan and Gable want to get right to business and ask about the WWE Tag Team Championships. Stratus said the Hardy Boyz are still due their rematch, and when she mentions this team, they ask about "The Crowe." Stratus admits she has no idea what happened last week, but she is addressing it and is sure he won't get involved. Stratus books The Hardy Boyz versus American Alpha for the first time ever next week, if in fact Matt and Jeff remain on Raw.
Emperor Roman Reigns def. Neville In his Emperor reign, he ended Neville with a Spear. Emperor Roman Reigns appeared not to be satisfied with his victory, so he went outside for a steel chair. Reigns slid in and before he could start laying in, the music of Dean Ambrose hit and the place went crazy! Ambrose rushed the ring and as Reigns swung and miss, Ambrose tackled him and the place rocked. Reigns was able to scurry from the bottom rope and run up the ramp, as Ambrose was fired up and welcomed to Monday Night Raw.
Michael Cole welcomed Corey Graves to the show once more, saying he picked an eventful night to join. The three-man team with Tyson Kidd then hyped next week's show. With it not being known who will be on Raw after tomorrow, the Hardy Boyz are penciled in to wrestle American Alpha for the first time ever. Also, Trish Stratus wants to get a handle on who will challenge Finn Balor for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Payback on June 11th. But for the main event, Bobby Lashley and John Cena go head-to-head.
Backstage, Baron Corbin is walking out with his bags with Paul Heyman in his ear. Heyman's trying to explain how it works being his client. Corbin says he knows he can take Finn Balor, and Heyman said he isn't ready for it. Corbin then tells Heyman that in seven days, he's going to challenge the world champion again, and he will beat him. Heyman said if he had Brock Lesnar, he could beat Finn Balor any day of the week, but it'll take time for him to get to Lesnar status.
As John Cena came to the ring, he got a microphone and informed everyone that Lashley failed to show up tonight. Cena said he is always down to fight, so he wants just that. Cena waits and out comes Braun Strowman from SmackDown! Cena can't believe it and here comes the Monster Among Men.
Braun Strowman def. John Cena Strowman's move to Raw proved well as he upset John Cena in a matter of minutes, being a huge mismatch physically, ending Cena with not one, but two running powerslams. Strowman stood tall as Monday Night Raw went off the air tonight, after Lashley's no-show.

SmackDown begins tonight with John Bradshaw Layfield and new play-by-play commentator Tom Phillips up in the booth for tonight's episode, Part 2 of WWE Shipwrecked. Edge then comes to the ring and expresses his frustration for the type of talent lost last night to Raw, such as up-and-coming prospects American Alpha and Baron Corbin, as well as a former Universal Champion in Dean Ambrose. This was then interrupted by newcomer Alberto Del Rio from Monday Night Raw. Del Rio tells Edge that he is a former world champion, and as a matter of fact, he knows that all too well as he did force him into retirement. Edge was taken back by this, and admits that times have changed, now that he is the boss. Edge puts Del Rio into a match immediately against Shinsuke Nakamura.
Shinsuke Nakamura def. Alberto Del Rio Del Rio tried to prove his worth on the new brand before he was caught by surprise by a Kinshasa. Edge is back in his office and can't help but have a smile on his face after watching Del Rio lose his first night back on SmackDown when he hears a knock at the door. Christian and Tomko come in, and Christian acts all buddy-buddy with his former tag partner Edge. Christian immediately tries to use this connection to launch him to contendership for Seth Rollins and the WWE Universal Championship in two weeks at No Mercy. Edge shakes his head and says there will be no favoritism, despite their past and their present friendship, but he will allow Christian the opportunity to earn that match. Edge places him in a Fatal-4 Way tonight to determine Seth's challenger at No Mercy, and that will be the main event. When asked against who, Edge doesn't fork over information to prevent bias.
Randy Orton comes to the ring and mentions that Cody Rhodes and he are both on SmackDown still, and that with No Mercy just twelve days away, he figures this is fate telling him to end Cody Rhodes once and for all. Orton challenged Cody Rhodes to a Steel Cage Match then.
Randy Orton def. Kofi Kingston Orton hit an RKO on Kingston and rather than go for the pin, hit a second RKO for the message towards Cody Rhodes. After the match, Orton was not satisfied with just a win. Orton would beat up Kingston and throw down punches. Orton would then throw Kingston to the outside, slash him with a steel chair across the back, and throw him back into the ring along with the steel chair. Orton set up for an RKO on the chair when a familiar music hit, and that was of The New Day! Big E and Xavier Woods rushed the ring and Orton had no choice but to flee. The fans went nuts as this music hit, as we had not heard it in a while, as they save the day for Kofi Kingston.
Backstage, we hear from Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax with Renee Young interviewing. They mention Becky Lynch hasn't been seen in three weeks, therefore, it is time for Edge to do the right thing and strip Lynch of the WWE Matron's Championship. But unfortunately, Edge won't do anything because of 30 days compete clause. Bliss says she wants Lynch to show her face next week, or Edge take the title off her, or she'll go over his head to The Rock.
In the ring, we see Apollo Crews waiting for action until we see Kevin Owens, the new United States Champion, come to SmackDown! Owens looks as confident as ever for this match on his new show.
Kevin Owens def. Apollo Crews in a non-title match The United States Champion put down any hopes for Apollo stepping in line for a title shot after a Popup Powerbomb. Backstage, Renee Young is with WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Ric Flair, asking about the #1 contendership for No Mercy. Flair takes over, saying that the entire landscape of SmackDown and the WWE have changed in the last week. Flair mentioned there was a particular challenger that Rollins put down last week, and now he's nowhere to be found. Rollins then stepped in and said he is okay with Christian, or anyone else who might think they have a chance to dethrone him. Seth says it is still his show and still his championship, and that is the one constant.
Waiting for in-ring action after her boyfriend Kaval was switched to Raw last night, Emma finds a new challenger on the scene, former Divas Champion Paige!
Paige def. Emma Paige welcomed herself to SmackDown against a former rival down in NXT, ending Emma with a Paige Turner. United States Champion Kevin Owens is browsing the new halls when General Manager Edge steps up to him. Edge welcomes Owens to SmackDown, when Kevin returns the favor and welcomes Edge to the Kevin Owens Show. Edge chuckles and shrugs it off, but informs him that some might call this SmackDown, some might call it the Kevin Owens Show, and some might call it the Sami Zayn Show. Owens is confused, but Edge clarifies that despite him being unable to appear tonight, Sami Zayn is an official member of Tuesday Night SmackDown. Owens loses it, but the crowd hearing it over the titantron are cheering the move. Edge went ahead and told Owens that Zayn will get his opportunity at the United States Championship when he returns, but against who? Edge informs Owens that Shinsuke Nakamura will challenge Owens for the title at No Mercy.
In the ring, Curt Hawkins brags about SmackDown wanting to retain him. By doing so, he wants to move up the ranks and take 2017 as an opportunity to become a champion. However, coming from Raw, Kalisto wants to make that same impact!
Kalisto def. Curt Hawkins Hawkins was not successful in this title campaign for 2017, losing to a Salida del Sol. In the booth, Tom Phillips and JBL recap a crazy night of SmackDown with the additions of Alberto Del Rio, Paige, Sami Zayn, and United States Champion Kevin Owens. They take a moment to display a tweet from Cody Rhodes that accepted Randy Orton's challenge from earlier, making it official that at No Mercy the two rivals will compete inside a Steel Cage. In addition, Owens will be defending the United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. JBL briefly mentions Becky Lynch's status as WWE Matron's Champion, because if she doesn't appear next week, she might be forced to vacate the title. This all concludes in the main event for tonight, a Fatal-4 Way for the right to wrestle Seth Rollins at No Mercy for the WWE Universal Championship.
Coming to the ring first is newcomer Christian with his buddy Tomko. Following him is Dolph Ziggler. Next was a person who had issues with Ziggler, The Miz. And then, from Monday Night Raw, the lights went out and the music began to play as Bray Wyatt led out the fireflies on SmackDown! Wyatt had not been seen since Extreme Rules, and is now on SmackDown!
Bray Wyatt def. Christian, Dolph Ziggler, and The Miz in a Fatal-4 Way Match Ziggler almost had the win after hitting a Zig-Zag on Wyatt, but he was pulled out of the ring by Miz and the two brawled, so far as to leave the ringside area. Christian was alerted by Tomko and Christian got inside and was about to put Wyatt away with the Killswitch, but Wyatt countered into a Sister Abigail for the win. Wyatt remained seated for a moment, recollecting himself after a great debut on SmackDown tonight. Wyatt then got up and as he locked eyes with WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and Ric Flair who stepped out from the curtain, Wyatt dropped to his knees and said "I'm coming for ya!" ... and this is how SmackDown ends its episode, and the aftermath of WWE Shipwrecked is just getting started.

Raw begins tonight with the 3-man commentary team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Tyson Kidd. But out comes Bobby Lashley, who is grinning ear to ear. Lashley says it was great watching Raw last week from his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lashley admitted the Mexican he ate wasn't so good, and after a joke about Raw disposing Del Rio and Kalisto to SmackDown that didn't go over well with the fans, he exclaimed the main event was excellent to watch. Lashley had them replay Cena getting slammed over and over and over again, but this before John Cena made an appearance. Cena got in the ring and Lashley immediately got out, but after Cena called out his manhood, Lashley hesitantly stepped back in. Cena informed Lashley that since he was not here last week, Trish Stratus has booked the official match for Payback on June 11th. Cena said since a winner was not determined in their Last Man Standing Match, there's only one way to go about doing it, and Stratus agreed it will be an I Quit match!
The Hardy Boyz def. American Alpha A tight contest ends after the experience takes over, Gable messed up and got caught in a Twist of Fate by Matt. After the contest, The Usos came and the WWE Tag Team Champions were ready to confront the Hardy Boyz. They extended a handshake, which both Matt and Jeff accepted, before laying down a challenge for the Hardy Boyz to get a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships at Payback on June 11th... but only in a match involving tables, ladders, and chairs! The crowd fell in love with the idea and the challenge was accepted. However, The Crowe was spotted in the rafters watching closely to what was taking place.
After a commercial, Trish Stratus came to the ring and confirmed the two matches made for Payback on June 11th. She then focuses her attention on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Finn Balor, and who he will defend against at Payback. Stratus has determined it will be... and then she's interrupted by Paul Heyman who comes with Intercontinental Champion Baron Corbin, who lost to Balor last week, and Stratus mentions that. Heyman says he's not vouching for Corbin, and Corbin's stunned by this, but he is vouching for another contract that was submitted to Raw last week of his client BROCK LESNAR! The crowd is shocked, and before Stratus can reply, Finn Balor comes to the ring. When asking if it is true, Stratus confirms, and Balor wants the challenge of Brock Lesnar at Payback. Stratus grants it, and then Corbin attacks the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and beats him down before he and Heyman force Stratus to put the champion in a match right now.
Baron Corbin w/Paul Heyman def. Finn Balor in a Champion versus Champion Match Corbin pulled off a major upset, redeeming himself from last week, after clocking Balor with a forearm in the back of the head, following that up with End of Days. The three-man commentary team recaps an eventful start to Raw with three huge matches already made for Payback on June 11th. They then confirm the main event for tonight, after his huge win last week against John Cena, Braun Strowman will take on Daniel Bryan. Also, Dean Ambrose makes an appearance tonight after joining the Raw roster last week.
Prior to Sasha's match on Raw, she came with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce to introduce her two newest allies. After introducing each one individually, she announced they are collectively known as Scarstruck, and will leave their mark on the women's division forever.
Sasha Banks w/Scarstruck def. Kelly Kelly Banks would make a huge impression with Kay and Royce at ringside, and forcing Kelly Kelly to submit to the Banks Statement. After the match, Scarstruck went after Kelly Kelly on a 3-on-1 assault and the WWE Divas Champion Charlotte came to fight! Charlotte held her own for a little, but the numbers caught up to her, as Scarstruck left Charlotte in the ring on her back.
Backstage, Carlito and Chris Masters are with each other and asked by Charly Caruso about their plans moving forward. They reminisce on competing with each other at WrestleMania 22, and they want that feeling again they had ten years ago. They announce they are going to compete together once more, and tonight have a match against Cesaro and Kassius Ohno, so they'll definitely be putting up a W.
Kaval def. Tyler Breeze A Dragon Clutch submission forced Breeze to succumb to Kaval. Charly Caruso has a moment to interview Daniel Bryan about Braun Strowman. Bryan says Strowman is an intimidating man, but he's not a man, he's a monster. Bryan truthfully admits there may not be a way to beat Strowman, but there is a way to win the match.
Cesaro & Kassius Ohno def. Carlito & Chris Masters Their night joined back together didn't go as planned, as Carlito fell victim to the Neutralizer.
Paul Heyman is in the back discussing Baron Corbin's win earlier with his client, but Corbin voices his frustrations of Brock Lesnar coming to Monday Night Raw. Corbin regurgitates Heyman's original plan, to have Corbin be WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Lesnar be WWE Universal Champion. Heyman nods but says plans change every day in the WWE and we must adapt. Heyman reinforces Corbin is a great Intercontinental Champion, and is well on his way to become the best Intercontinental Champion in history..
Neville def. Rusev w/Lana Neville overcame outside interference per Lana to hit a Red Arrow and pin Rusev in a great match. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Finn Balor is resting in the trainers room, struggling to breathe, when Charly Caruso steps in. Caruso asks why Balor accepted the challenge against Brock Lesnar at Payback, when he says he's a fighting champion and he's always been the undersized dog in the fight, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
In the ring, Dean Ambrose appears and explains that he vouched to be on Monday Night Raw because of what Roman Reigns had done to him. Ambrose says it hurt when Seth Rollins stabbed him in the back and broke apart The Shield, mainly because of the trajectory of success that they were on. However, it broke his heart when Reigns stabbed him in the back because they are brothers. Ambrose said that the "Emperor" will be knocked off his throne by a peasant, and Reigns better be careful.
Corey Graves, Michael Cole, and Tyson Kidd recap all that had taken place tonight, including three headlining matches for the Payback event on June 11th. Graves jokes that Payback in three weeks is already more stacked than SmackDown's No Mercy card for this Sunday. They then mention what will happen next week, including Charlotte wrestling Billie Kay, Bobby Lashley wrestling Dean Ambrose, and Brock Lesnar scheduled to appear. But up next, Braun Strowman looks to continue his dominance from last week.
Braun Strowman def. Daniel Bryan Bryan tried his best and refused to give up, but Strowman ran right through Bryan like he did Cena last week, finishing Bryan off with a running powerslam. After finishing Bryan off, Strowman stood tall for a second consecutive week for Raw to go off air.

May 23, 2017
The final SmackDown before No Mercy starts with General Manager Edge coming to the ring. Edge announces for the event this Sunday of some matches added. Edge goes by saying it will be Dolph Ziggler versus The Miz, after fallout from last week's main event. In addition, there is going to be a triple threat match to name a new #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship with the winner wrestling either Bray Wyatt or Seth Rollins. Christian then comes to the ring along with Tomko and wishes to be in that triple threat. Edge shakes his head and says Christian lost the Fatal-4 Way last week and is giving four new people an opportunity. Edge names Alberto Del Rio, Kalisto, and Sheamus as the competitors. Christian begs to make it a Fatal-4 Way, but Edge shrugs and caves, saying if he can win his match next, he can be added. Of course, it is Kalisto.
Kalisto def. Christian w/Tomko Christian was unable to get himself added to the match, losing to a Salida del Sol. Ric Flair is seen walking around backstage and is approached by Renee Young. Young asks Flair of the WWE Universal Champion's whereabouts, in which he insures her that Rollins will be arriving momentarily. When she asked what his initial thoughts are on Seth Rollins defending the WWE Universal Championship against Bray Wyatt this Sunday. Flair laughed and reminded her that Rollins is the future of this business, and not only that, but he is the present. Flair lists off the accolades of Rollins, giving reason for his hope in Rollins emerging victorious this Sunday. Flair then lets Renee know that the fans will hear more from Seth Rollins himself later tonight.
Sheamus def. Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification When Del Rio felt the tide turning, Del Rio reached for a kendo stick from the outside and blasted Sheamus with it, initiating the official's decision to ring the bell. Alberto Del Rio did not cease after the bell had rung. Del Rio continued to harm the flesh of Sheamus with the kendo stick, before deciding to pick Sheamus up and throw him into the steel steps. Del Rio worked on the arm of Sheamus and would roll him back inside with two steel chairs. Del Rio would lay into the injured arm of Sheamus countless times with the chair, before shoving the first one aside. Del Rio then locked in the Cross Armbreaker before extra officials ran down to help. Del Rio let go of the hold, but the damage was done, before he shoved an official aside, picked up the second chair, and threatened the others away. Del Rio then placed Sheamus' arm in the chair before stepping on the chair. Sheamus cried out in pain, but the damage was done, as Del Rio seemed to be at peace when he left.
As Tom Phillips and JBL react to what Alberto Del Rio has done, and Sheamus is helped to the back, out comes Randy Orton. Orton makes his comments on what just transpired, saying what Del Rio did to Sheamus was impressive, but not nearly as impressive as what he can do to Cody Rhodes inside a Steel Cage this Sunday. Orton goes on about what will be done, and then Cody Rhodes comes to the ramp to respond. Cody said that Orton has been a coward this entire time, and he thinks a Steel Cage will be of advantage to him? Cody claims that No Mercy is the perfect opportunity to lock the animal inside a cage, and leave him in there a bloody mess. Orton laughs and says he has a match now, but Cody is more than welcome to watch and see his fate. Orton gets outside the ring and adds a steel chair to the front row where an aisle used to be. Tye Dillinger comes to the ring while Cody takes Orton up on his offer.
Tye Dillinger def. Randy Orton Orton controlled much of this match and when he set up for an RKO, Cody stood up and hopped the barricade, mouthing off to Orton. Orton tried having the official get Cody back behind the barricade, but Tye rolled Orton up in a schoolboy pin to pull off a major upset. After the match, Randy Orton was in shock and had his attention solely on the official while Cody slid in and pounced on The Viper. The two engaged in a brawl and it was all Cody before Orton rolled outside the ring. Cody chased him, but Orton threw him into the barricade and then took over. Officials and security had to run down and separate the two to preserve their Steel Cage match at No Mercy.
Backstage, Renee Young welcomed Dolph Ziggler and asked for his thoughts on his match with The Miz being named by Edge. Ziggler recalls The Miz's roots in Ohio and their storied past with each other in the WWE. Ziggler said it should've been him wrestling Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship until The Miz took it away. As a result, he is going to make sure he walks away from No Mercy victorious and places himself back into the title picture.
The time had come. Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax came to the ring begging for Becky Lynch to be stripped of the WWE Matrons Championship, as she had not been seen all day. Edge came out to address the situation and fumbled through his thoughts and words, until the Matrons Champion herself saved the day. After not being seen since April, Lynch came and clarified that she is not 100% after what they did to her, but she's tired of sitting at home every week listening to Alexa run her mouth. Lynch asked if she wanted the title so bad, it'll cost her an arm and the bank is open tonight! Everyone gets excited but Edge reminds Becky she is not medically cleared, but Lynch threatens to quit and take the title to Raw if Edge doesn't let her do what she "does best." Edge looked around and got a referee down for an impromptu title match, while Nia Jax is wanting to compete like the plan was all along, but Alexa has convinced Nia Jax to step aside for her title opportunity.
Alexa Bliss def. Becky Lynch(c) to win the WWE Matrons Championship Becky Lynch fought relentlessly but was clearly not ready to return to in-ring action, looking slower and taking longer to get up from bumps. Alexa would begin mocking her midway through, but once Becky threatened a Dis-arm-her, Bliss shaped up and stepped it up, ultimately ending Lynch with Twisted Bliss to become the new Matrons Champion. As Becky Lynch laid on the mat in pain, requiring more medical attention, Alexa Bliss celebrated her very first championship! Nia Jax stepped inside, looking disappointed, but decided to put it aside for Alexa's big night. Bliss was oblivious to Nia's mood, as she was on Cloud 9. This was all until Edge came back out and addressed the new Matrons Champion. Edge congratulated Alexa Bliss, and reminded her that when Becky Lynch is 100%, she will be getting her rematch. Until then, he needs a match at No Mercy this Sunday. Therefore, he has found Alexa an opponent... Paige's music hits! Paige, who came from Raw last week via WWE Shipwrecked, will be challenging Bliss for the title this Sunday! The new champion's celebration is instantly cut short by this bombshell, but the crowd celebration has already begun.
After a commercial break, Edge is walking back to his office when he gets a call. Christian and Tomko approach him while he's on the phone, but Edge holds up a finger. Edge looks disappointed, thanks the person on the other line, and ends the call. Christian inquires, and Edge says that Sheamus won't be able to compete this Sunday at No Mercy. Christian gets excited and tells him to let him into the triple threat match, promising he won't let Edge down. Edge shakes his head and tells Christian to let him think before he walks down the hall.
Apollo Crews and Shinsuke Nakamura def. Curt Hawkins and Kevin Owens In a tag team match featuring two competitors for the United States Championship match this Sunday, Owens avoided Nakamura at all costs, until at the end when Nakamura got on an offensive spree and went for the Kinshasa, but Owens dropped in the corner, tagged Hawkins, and rolled to the outside. Hawkins then stepped up ready to fight, but it was a quick Kinshasa that put Hawkins down. As the match ended, it was Shinsuke Nakamura that started down the reigning United States Champion, who had created distance, and Nakamura signaled he would be the next United States Champion come this Sunday. Into a commercial break, we get ready for a special MizTV episode with special guests Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods; formerly known as The New Day.
After a commercial, The Miz welcomed everyone to MizTV and immediately started talking about his own match this Sunday at No Mercy. The Miz responded to Ziggler's comments from earlier, calling Ziggler a waste of space. The Miz said he didn't cost Ziggler the Universal Championship because he isn't good enough to go and win the title in the first place. The Miz finished up by saying he will defeat Dolph Ziggler and crush any hope he has left in his career. The Miz switches gears and welcomes a group formerly known as The New Day... but they come to the ring in the New Day music. The Miz is confused, when Kofi Kingston explains that it isn't a group formerly known as, but IS the New Day! The crowd roars and Xavier Woods elaborates further. Woods said he decided to take a managerial role with Big E on Raw, but when the time came and was shipped to SmackDown with Kofi Kingston, he found it the perfect opportunity to return to the ring. Woods mentions when Kingston was in trouble against Orton, then was the time to let the world know that The New Day is back! The Miz asked what was next, but it was interrupted by the WWE Trios Champions, Cultural Revolt. Gabriel, Blake, and Murphy came and Gabriel said that The New Day is in their territory now, and The New Day is yesterday's news, while Cultural Revolt should be on MizTV. The New Day laughed at Cultural Revolt and made fun of Justin Gabriel as he's evolved from a pretty boy from South Africa, to a dangerous part of Nexus, to a guy who discovered cheeseburgers and simultaneously lost his six-pack. Gabriel wasn't affected by the comments, and said Cultural Revolt are willing to defend their territory and their Trios Championships, if it means next week they are featured on MizTV. The Miz likes the idea, The New Day likes the idea, and it is official for Sunday! The New Day look to beat the inaugural Trios Champions at No Mercy.
Backstage, Edge is frantically on the phone trying to find the replacement for Sheamus. He then dials an old friend and asks when he can make it to Connecticut, the home of WWE Headquarters. Edge arranges a time to meet and says they can make their conversation last week a reality and sign him to a WWE deal. They agree on tomorrow afternoon, and Edge assures him he will be replacing Sheamus once he is signed to a deal and passes his physical. Edge hangs up with a sigh of relief.
Tom Phillips and JBL are in the booth recapping a stacked SmackDown episode with a new Matrons Champion crowned, The New Day back together, and an apparent new signing on the horizon for SmackDown. Phillips and JBL preview a stacked show for Sunday's No Mercy event, exclusive to SmackDown, and lastly mention the WWE Universal Championship match.
Out comes WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins with Ric Flair. Flair speaks for a few moments, hyping Seth Rollins up, and that he will be emerging victorious this Sunday against Bray Wyatt, successfully defending his WWE Universal Championship. Flair said he himself has overcame the scruffiest of men, such as Harley Race and Dusty Rhodes, and Flair mentioned that Bray Wyatt is a stellar superstar in 2017, but nothing like Race or Rhodes. Rollins is handed the microphone and clarified that Bray Wyatt will never be, because he needs to be a constant main event player. Rollins mentioned Wyatt losing at WrestleMania, which is not what the greats do. Rollins adamantly claims he will walk into No Mercy this Sunday and retain his WWE Universal Championship, putting to rest the enigma of Bray Wyatt. The lights go out in the arena and Wyatt emerges on the titantron, silencing Rollins. Wyatt reminds Rollins of Rage in the Cage last year, defeating Rollins and reigned for months afterward. Wyatt laughs because of Rollins leaving Raw after that, because he knew he couldn't beat him. Bray Wyatt says he came to SmackDown to do what he did last October, and that is to take the world title off a mediocre wrestler. Wyatt claims he has the whole world in his hands, and better yet, he knows the number of hairs on Seth's head and will use his intricate knowledge of Rollins to become the new WWE Universal Champion... and this exchange is how we end an action-packed, go-home episode of SmackDown.

SuspendedWWE Raw superstar Enzo Amore has been suspended 30 days due to conduct backstage. His suspension is set to end on June 22. There are no specifics being released of exactly what Amore had done, but it was apparently serious enough to warrant a suspension. There is no word whether WWE will use his tag team partner Colin Cassady at this time, or keep him off television until Amore returns. SurgeryWWE SmackDown superstar was written off television this week with an attack at the hands of Alberto Del Rio. Sheamus is in need of surgery on his elbow, and so WWE decided to write him off this way. A timetable for his recovery is listed at 4-6 months. A New Viktor? As many know, Viktor's partner from The Ascension Konnor was released. However, Viktor remained on the roster. There are rumblings that Viktor will soon be repackaged and pushed on SmackDown. The State of NXTThe state of NXT's roster is unique. The feeling backstage is some talents need to be called up quickly in the summer and fall months to get them adjusted and plugged in entering WrestleMania season. This is in addition to the calls received after WrestleMania. Also, there are a lot of talent signed that have been strictly in the Performance Center and used as enhancement talents on occasion, some all the way back last September. Expect to see a lot more influx of new talent on television weekly, along with more call ups to make room. This also comes with the news that Vince McMahon is pushing hard to sign more big names on the independent scene to prevent TNA from snatching them. (SPOILER!) **OPEN WITH CAUTION**Angle Returning to the Ring? After returning for a WrestleMania program with Daniel Bryan, there have been talks of Angle returning to the ring full-time for his final run in pro wrestling. This seems to be confirmed, and is likely that Angle shows up on SmackDown since it appears to be the lightest roster. If this is true, expect to see Angle on SmackDown and potentially as soon as No Mercy.
