October 4, 2018 Don Callis and Tony Schiavone introduce everyone to the show and mention this is a WRESTLING company and will focus on the wrestling, beginning with a match: a tag team match!
X-Division Champion from the previous regime, Ricochet, and Johnny Gargano head out first. Then comes Low Ki and former TNA Heavyweight Champion John Hennigan. Mid-Roberts introduction, Hennigan steals the microphone.
Hennigan: "It's an absolute outrage that I'm here in the opening match. I'm the main event! I was TNA and I will be AEW. They could have easily made tonight's match an eight-man tag. But so everyone's clear, my name is Johnny Wrestling!"
Match 1: Johnny Gargano & Ricochet vs. Johnny Wrestling & Low Ki The opening match is everything you'd expect for fans who love X-Division action. This match ends with the self-proclaimed "Johnny Wrestling" tapping out to Johnny Gargano with the Gargano Escape. Gargano and Ricochet's seen raising their hands in victory as Sting's advertised after the commercial break.
Sting is already in the ring after the break and has a microphone in hand.
Sting: "Six months ago, I didn't expect to be here. I didn't expect to be in a wrestling ring on TNT again. But after nearly twenty years, here we are again!
"There's a lot of questions that we will answer tonight and in the coming weeks. Who are we? We're All Elite Wrestling. That means the elite of the elite will have a platform to perform. That means we are an all-wrestling company for the elite talent, and the elite fans. If you're watching at home or joined us tonight in Jacksonville, you are elite!
"One of the questions I'd like to address right now is the championships. For all the elite talent in the back, they want to fight for something, and we're giving you something! Behind me are three championships."
The assistant behind Sting unveils one by one: the AEW Women's Championship, the AEW Tag Team Championships, and AEW World Championship.
Sting: "With a new era, come a new era of champions. These are the championships that will be made prestigious by the elite talent to hold them. They are all vacant and up for grabs now. Over the next few weeks, we will begin seeing our title picture unfold. Unlike places of the past, records matter. Johnny Gargano and Ricochet are 1-0, while John Hennigan and Low Ki are 0-1. Records will reflect who should compete for these championships.
"This means someone like a Kenny Omega, an EC3, can become the first AEW World Championship. As much as Brian Pillman Jr. or the man I will introduce to you all now. He's the "Child of the Shadows" and I have signed to the All Elite Wrestling roster: Darby Allin!"
Darby Allin rides a skateboard down to the ring and following his entrance is Alex Reynolds.
Match 2: Alex Reynolds vs. Darby Allin The first look Darby Allin gave the fans was a quick showcase of his daredevil and careless activity. Allin grabs the victory with a Coffin Drop to finish Reynolds off in just under 6 minutes. {Updated Records:} Reynolds: 0-1 Allin: 1-0
6-time Knockouts Champion Gail Kim is the first interview of AEW Media Journalist, Melissa Santos, who asks Kim for comments about not carrying her Knockouts Championship here.
Gail Kim: "Melissa, welcome to AEW. I'm glad you're here. I'm excited to be here. I know a lot of the knockouts from TNA came to AEW. I know I was the matriarch of the knockouts. I was part of an entire era of the knockouts and carried that flag with pride. I was a 6-time Knockouts Champion, as you mentioned.
"TNA was a good time, but now it's time for AEW. You heard Sting say the records are clean. Everyone starts on an even playing field. But this is the same Gail Kim. If anyone wants to step up to the plate, be my guest."
In walks up TAYA VALKYIRE!
Taya Valkyrie: "Gail, consider me your guest... Taya Valkyrie."
Kim and Valkyrie stare down before we break to the ring.
Match 3: reDRAGON vs. Dirty Standards w/Chris Sabin Sabin watches on the sidelines as he sees Angelico and Bram taken to school by a well-oiled machine in Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. It takes Chasing the Dragon to put Angelico down as reDRAGON picks up the win. {Updated Records} reDRAGON: 1-0 (Fish: 1-0 | O'Reilly 0-1) Dirty Standards: 0-1 (Angelico: 0-1 | Bram 0-1)
After reDRAGON leave, Chris Sabin gets in the ring disappointed after Angelico and Bram come up short. As Angelico and Bram are pleading their case and begins to argue, an unknown song hits... and out walks ALEX SHELLEY! Sabin has seen a ghost. Alex Shelley heads to the ring and looks at Sabin with a sly smile, completely ignoring Angelico and Bram in the ring, who are watching on intently.
A video package appears for "The Prodigy" MJF and he walks out with a massive bodyguard who isn't named.
MJF: "Cut my music, cut my music ... My name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Now you pissants in Jacksonville are new to this. Not many historic things have happened in Jacksonville. As a matter of fact, until tonight, nothing historic has happened in Jacksonville. That's why you can thank me. As of tonight, MJF has put Jacksonville on the map.
"And while this town thanks me for putting them on the map, Sting will be next in line. I'll put All Elite Wrestling on the map. It won't be Kenny Omega. It won't be Gail Kim. It won't be Darby Allin. It sure won't be the old WCW geezers who couldn't pull ratings back in the day, sorry Billy!
"And how can I forget the man behind me, in front of me, beside me. He'll be with me every step of the way. He's my personal insurance policy, Madman Fulton. Madman works for me because TNT wouldn't reach into their pockets and pay this man. And one day, he could be a champion in this business.
"But it won't be before myself, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, is AEW World Champion. Winning a world title is not in the genes of my opponent tonight, Brian Pillman Jr. Yes, junior. If that name sounds familiar, his father was an amateur wrestler and a professional pillhead. He was a real pill-man. And it's a real shame Brian Senior isn't alive today to see me embarrass his son like his son has embarrassed the entire Hart family. Madman, I wonder if there's television in hell so Brian Senior can watch along.
"He better tune in quick, because this won't take long. Because my name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and I'm better than you, and YOU KNOW IT!"
Brian Pillman Jr. heads out PISSED and Madman Fulton has to cover MJF in the corner before their match officially begins. Match 4: Brian Pillman Jr vs. MJF w/Madman Fulton Maxwell Jacob Friedman, shortly known as MJF, takes advantage of the very emotional Brian Pillman Jr. and catches him on various mistakes, finishing him off with a Salt of the Earth armbar submission hold. {Updated Records} Pillman Jr: 0-1 MJF: 1-0
A video package airs of the relentless training for John Skyler under the tutelage of Eric Young earlier in the year, as well as some training that has taken course over the last several months.
EY brings out John Skyler who appears burdened with the weight of pressure on his shoulders and looks strung-out because of the training as Davey Richards heads out next.
Match 5: Davey Richards vs. John Skyler w/Eric Young Eric Young watches intently for John Skyler and gets frustrated as Davey Richards uses his expertise against John Skyler, who seems to not be as experienced inside the ropes. Davey Richards finishes John Skyler off with a DR Driver! {Updated Records} Richards: 1-0 Skyler: 0-1
Davey Richards can't celebrate his victory before Eric Young attacks Davey Richards from behind. As EY continues the assault, John Skyler begins to stir. Young instructs Skyler to grab something from under the ring and as Skyler lifts up the skirt, Davey's music hits.. but it's his partner, Eddie Edwards! Edwards, who hasn't been seen in forever, rushes to the scene and saves his partner while Eric Young and John Skyler flee. Eddie Edwards and one of the best tag teams in the world, The Wolves, are officially back.
After a commercial break, the doors are knocked backstage. Out walks Bill Goldberg and the former WCW Heavyweight Champion walks out to the ring and gets a microphone in his hand.
Bill Goldberg: "First things first, if that punk kid ever says my name again or disrespects any legend of this business like he did earlier, I'll split him in half.
"There are two names synonymous with wrestling on TNT. Sting is one of them and Bill Goldberg is the other. Back in April, Sting called in a favor and Bill Goldberg showed up. Little did I know we would find ourselves back on TNT six months later under a new brand: All Elite Wrestling.
"The world's asking if AEW Dynamite can live up to what this network has seen in the past. Walking through the back, I can see hungry men and women ready to become champion. Could you see Bill Goldberg as AEW World Champion? That ship for me has unfortunately sailed. Could you see me in the ring? Never say never."
Bill Goldberg winks to the camera and leaves the ring as Tony Schiavone and Don Callis are left speculating if Bill Goldberg could wrestle in All Elite Wrestling at 51 years old. The ring then begins filling up with the women wrestlers of AEW for the battle royal next.
Match 6: AEW Women's Battle Royal feat. Allysin Kay, Angelina Love, Big Swole, Candy Gargano, Gail Kim, Ivelisse, Madison Rayne, Nattie Neidhart, Rhea Ripley, Taya Valkyrie, Toni Storm, Velvet Sky In the 12-women battle royal, two new names were introduced: Taya Valkyrie, who interrupted Gail Kim earlier, and Big Swole. Women began to fall and Schiavone/Callis noted only the winner's record would reflect in the official record. One by one people would fall away, including all members of the Beautiful People. The final four came down to Candy Gargano, Gail Kim, Rhea Ripley, and Taya Valkyrie. Candy just eliminated Nattie Neidhart with a headscissors, who would then be subsequently eliminated by Rhea Ripley moments later. Taya and Gail would go toe-to-toe and fight to the death until they both toppled over the top rope and fought on the apron. During this duel, Rhea Ripley ran and was caught as Gail Kim moved and pulled the rope down for Ripley to topple over. Taya Valkyrie used the distraction to roll back in the ring and as Gail Kim stood up on the apron, Taya pushed Gail off and Taya wins the battle royal! {Updated Records) Valkyrie: 1-0
Don Callis and Tony Schiavone recap a big night for the debut episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT including: New championships and the concept of records Darby Allin, MJF, and Taya Valkyrie win impressive debuts The reunions of The Wolves and Motor City Machine Guns
Callis and Schiavone then share word of the match card and other announcements for next week's Dynamite: Candy Gargano vs. Nattie Neidhart Angelico vs. Darby Allin John Skyler vs. Johnny Gargano Will there be a Motor City Machine Gun reunion? Eddie Edwards speaks MAIN EVENT: Jay Lethal vs. Kenny Omega and more!
...and now it's time for the main event. Kenny Omega and what's known now as "The Young Bucks" head to the ring, but Omega has a microphone and wants to speak.
Kenny Omega: "Allow me to re-introduce these brothers beside me. That's Matt Jackson, that's Nick Jackson, and they are the YOUNG BUCKS. "All Elite Wrestling. It's quite ironic. The three of us have been collectively known around the world as "The Elite." And to be transparent, All Elite Wrestling was almost not Elite.
"It was a lot of conversations, swaying back and forth. But after we mulled it over, we signed long-term deals with AEW. We are ready to put this show on our backs and carry The Elite banner to unforeseen heights.
"We have our eyes set on the AEW Tag Team Championships and of course, the AEW World Championship. After our match tonight, we'll be top of the standings and well on our way. So a little advice to our oppon-"
The Briscoe Brothers interrupt The Elite and out runs Ethan Carter III as well for the main event tonight.
Match 7//Main Event: Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Ethan Carter III & The Briscoe Brothers Omega and the Young Bucks look healthier and as good as they've been their entire careers. They are taking it to the physical Briscoe Brothers and polished EC3, who was the last TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Schiavone notes the static on the monitor that took place during this match for just a couple seconds before clearing up. Despite the brief technical difficulties on the debut Dynamite episode, this main event finishes with the Meltzer Driver hit on EC3 and the Young Bucks pin the former world champion! {Updated Records} Omega: 1-0 M Jackson: 1-0 N Jackson: 1-0 EC3: 0-1 J Briscoe: 0-1 M Briscoe: 0-1
As Kenny Omega grabs the microphone and says goodbye and goodnight... the lights go out. When they come back on, a man recognized by Don Callis is standing by the entrance way with a jewel in hand. It's DARIO CUETO! Behind The Elite are three men with black towels draped over their heads. They unveil themselves and right as The Elite turn, they attack. The Elite are beaten down as Dario Cueto looks on pleased. With Don Callis' extensive knowledge of international talent, he recognizes Matanza, Mil Muertes, and Penta! Dario Cueto heads down after the work is finished and THIS is how the first AEW Dynamite ends.
Next Week: Candy Gargano vs. Nattie Neidhart Angelico vs. Darby Allin John Skyler vs. Johnny Gargano Will there be a Motor City Machine Gun reunion? Eddie Edwards speaks MAIN EVENT: Jay Lethal vs. Kenny Omega

October 11, 2018 on TNT
Don Callis and Tony Schiavone introduce everyone to Dynamite and AEW begins their programming with a match. "The Child of the Shadows" Darby Allin skateboards to the ring for the opening bout.
Match 1: Angelico vs. Darby Allin Angelico comes out by himself for the contest and Darby Allin finishes him in minutes with the Coffin Drop. {Updated Records} Angelico: 0-2 Allin: 2-0
Callis and Schiavone remind everyone what's on tap for this evening, including the main event of Jay Lethal versus Kenny Omega. But for now, it's Dario Cueto leading the three men to the ring, the same men that attacked Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks at the end of Dynamite last week.
Dario Cueto: "Buenos dias, AEW. It's nice to meet you.
"It's been a long time. But I hope we receive forgiveness for our actions last week. We just wanted to introduce ourselves. Behind me, starting to my left, is the biggest threat in AEW. I've saved him from an abusive family. The demented, Penta!
"Next to him, is perhaps the most intimidating individual you could find. I've saved him from the death grip of a soulless woman. The man of a thousand deaths, Mil Muertes!
"And last but not least, my greatest creation. The unstoppable force and the immovable object, Matanza!
"If you are familiar, we come from the underground. We are The Underground. And moving forward, we want everyone to know we will be underground no more. We are the real elite, and we've just begun."
Match 2: The Underground w/Dario Cueto vs. Alex Reynolds, Konosuke Takeshita, and Shaheem Ali The Underground have their first six-man tag action in AEW and absolutely destroy nobodies. Penta hits a Fear Factor on Reynolds, following up with Mil Muertes hitting Straight to Hell on Ali, and Matanza hitting Takeshita with Wrath of the Gods. Matanza pins the legal man, Takeshita, and securing the win. {Updated Records:} Matanza: 1-0 Muertes: 1-0 Penta: 1-0 Reynolds: 0-2 Takeshita: 0-1 Ali: 0-1
Standing by with AEW media journalist Melissa Santos is the Bullet Club, Kenny Omega, Johnny Wrestling, and the Young Bucks. Melissa asks for their response to The Underground's attack last week and impressive performance.
Johnny Wrestling: "First off Melissa, the Bullet Club is too powerful and we will n-"
Kenny Omega cuts him off with a hand to the face.
Kenny Omega: "John, Johnny, whatever the hell you go by now. What do you mean by 'we?' Where were you last week? The Elite just went through a hell of a main event and we get jumped in the dark by these monsters and... where's the self-proclaimed 'Johnny Wrestling?' You tell me, man."
Johnny Wrestling: "I was ge-"
Kenny Omega: "You know what, it's best you keep that to yourself. Because there's three of them, and there's three of us. We can handle it from here."
Nick Jackson: "Melissa, as strong as we are as the Bullet Club and The Elite, Matt and I want to let everyone know we're not just tag team wrestlers. Matt and I are two of the best singles wrestlers in the world today. And I take exception to what The Underground tried to do at our expense last week. Cueto, you send any of your boys to the ring to face me next week one-on-one rather than the cowards you are."
Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks leave, but keep Johnny Wrestling there to shrug his shoulders at Melissa Santos.
Match 3: John Skyler w/Eric Young vs. Johnny Gargano Eric Young sees a slower John Skyler facing Johnny Gargano, and as it appears Skyler is getting up slower from bumps, he immediately taps out to the Gargano Escape. {Updated Records} Skyler: 0-2 Gargano: 2-0
After Johnny Gargano leaves, Eric Young once again gets back in the ring and berates John Skyler on national television. Eric Young begins slapping John Skyler and Skyler's unresponsive and keeps his head down and leaves the ring.
A replay airs of last week where Eddie Edwards returned last week to save his partner Davey Richards. Eddie Edwards heads to the ring to address his fans and is joined by Richards.
Eddie Edwards: "I'm a man of few words, but it's been a long damn time.
"It's been hard to stay at home watching everyone do what I love when I couldn't. But this guy right here did it better than anyone else!
"Davey, I'm back, and I'm not going anywhere."
Davey Richards: "I'm not into the soap opera box bul****t. But AEW, the Wolves are back! We're hungry and our hunger will only be satisfied by becoming the first AEW World Tag Team Champions!"
Eddie Edwards: "We held the TNA Tag Titles six times. And we've put the entire tag team locker room on notice."
Out storms Eric Young to the entrance way, dragging John Skyler out by the ear.
Eric Young: "LISTEN TO ME! I've been training this animal for months now. Eddie Edwards, you made the gravest mistake of your career. Next week, us versus you two! We'll put you back on the shelf."
Eddie Edwards looks at Davey Richards, who both look at the fans cheering, as they nod signaling their acceptance of The Wolves and their return match next week on Dynamite.
After a commercial break, it appears Big Swole has a match against Rhea Ripley after her appearance in the women's battle royal last week. Match 4: Big Swole vs. Rhea Ripley There was an evident size difference that played a big role in helping Rhea Ripley win this match following the Riptide. {Updated Records} Swole: 0-1 Ripley: 1-0
Backstage, Melissa Santos is joined by Brian Pillman Jr, who requested this time. Melissa asks what he'd like to say to the AEW fans.
Brian Pillman Jr: "Last week was a historic Dynamite for AEW. It's fresh, it's new, and to be a small part of it meant the world. But it was all ruined by one man, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF.
"The moment that prick opened his mouth and disrespected my father, my inspiration, my hero, he ruined it all. And for everything he said, I want to shut him up. So MJF, I'm challenging YOU next week to a match on Dynamite. And if I were you, I'd keep my damn mouth shut!"
Match 5: Ethan Carter III vs. Low Ki EC3 would be kicked so hard by Low Ki and nearly lost the match on several occasions but blocks a spinning heel kick and tries hitting the One-Percenter as a counter, but Low Ki chops EC3 down like a tree and scales up to the top to hit Warrior's Way and score a major upset. {Updated Records} Low Ki: 1-1 EC3: 0-2
After a commercial break, Tony Schiavone stands at the entrance way to introduce his guest ALEX SHELLEY! Schiavone welcomes Shelley to AEW and asks why he chose to make his return to the ring by sharing the ring with former Motor City Machine Gun partner, Chris Sabin.
Alex Shelley: "Tony, it feels great to be back. I know it isn't TNA, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be apart of history. We're All Elite Wrestling!
"I do admit, if I'm going to come back to wrestling, I want to do it right. The Motor City Machine Guns won a lot of matches, held a lot of gold, and earned a lot of money in TNA. So what's to say we can't do it again in AEW?"
Angelico and Bram of Dirty Standards interrupts Shelley.
Bram: "What makes you think the Machine Guns are getting back together? You left him! We've had Sabin's back since you abandoned him. So as far as we see it, you stepped way out of line."
Chris Sabin comes out and appears to be talking Bram and Angelico down without the microphones. Bram pulls Sabin to the side and floors Shelley with a forearm. Sabin shoves Bram and Angelico holds them at bay. Sabin kneels to check on his partner as Bram storms off to the back and Angelico's left conflicted, before leaving for the back as well.
Match 6: Candy Gargano vs. Nattie Neidhart Nattie and Candy put on a clinic and really set the bar high for women's matches in AEW moving forward, but it's Nattie forcing Candy to tap to the Sharpshooter after a valiant effort. {Updated Records) Gargano: 0-1 Neidhart: 1-0
Standing by with Melissa Santos is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF, with Madman Fulton towering behind him. Melissa Santos asks MJF if he has any regrets about what he said last week about Brian Pillman Jr's father.
MJF: "Missy, I don't expect you to understand. After all, you're a woman. And everyone knows you've been passed around in Dario's basement a time or two, so it looks like your connections got you extra screen time.
"For the son of a pill-head, if you want to be embarrassed once more, I'd be happy to oblige. But as far as regrets, I've never made a check with my mouth or my bank account I couldn't cash. And let's be honest, it's not like I'm going up against the son of Bret Hart. If Bret had a son in wrestling, I'd expect him to at least hang with me for five, ten minutes tops. But we're talking about the son of Brian Pillman, the loose cannon. And we all saw how that worked out last week.
"So sure, Brian. I'll accept your little challenge. But under one condition. Before I face you, I want you to take a test your father could never pass... a drug test!
"That's right. Tomorrow, I want you to get yourself a drug test. And if you pass, hey, at least you're a step ahead of the old man. But don't get it twisted. You'll never be a step ahead of Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF. Why? Because I'm better than you, and you know it!"
After MJF's interview with Melissa Santos, Tony Schiavone is disgusted, but Don Callis excuses it to say MJF is just trying to get in the head of Brian Pillman Jr. and it was evident to work last week. But now it's time to share what's happening on next week's Dynamite: Brian Pillman Jr vs. MJF (pending Pillman's drug test) The Beautiful People vs. Allysin Kay & Ivelisse The Wolves return vs. Eric Young & John Skyler Heath Miller & PJ Black vs. reDRAGON MAIN EVENT: Nick Jackson vs. 1 member of The Underground and more!
...and now it's time for the main event.
Match 7//Main Event: Jay Lethal vs. Kenny Omega These are two men who are fighting to be the faces of AEW early on. Lethal and Omega are going at it when Lethal tries for Lethal Injection, he gets caught in the Half-Nelson Snap Suplex, followed by a V-Trigger, and then the One-Winged Angel that puts Kenny Omega over! {Updated Records} Omega: 2-0 Lethal: 0-1
As Kenny Omega gets up and celebrates, he notices Dario Cueto on the stage holding the jewel. Kenny Omega stands his ground, but sees on the screen that the Young Bucks are laid out backstage. The lights go out and when they return, Omega is surrounded by Matanza, Mil Muertes, and Penta. All three attack Kenny Omega and with each finisher, Omega tries to fight back, but the final being the Wrath of the Gods, Omega is out cold as AEW Dynamite fades to black.
Next Week: Brian Pillman Jr vs. MJF (pending Pillman's drug test) The Beautiful People vs. Allysin Kay & Ivelisse The Wolves return vs. Eric Young & John Skyler Heath Miller & PJ Black vs. reDRAGON MAIN EVENT: Nick Jackson vs. 1 member of The Underground
