So here is who I need to re-sign before next offseason, along with their "desired" contracts:
RB Ezekiel Elliott ($46.3M total over 5 years)
QB Dak Prescott ($107M total over 5 years)
WR Dez Bryant ($37.1M total over 4 years)
RT La'el Collins ($36.9M total over 5 years)
ROLB Sean Lee ($32.6M total over 3 years)
CB Anthony Brown ($29.9M total over 4 years)
TE Gavin Escobar ($13.1M total over 3 years)
MLB Jaylon Smith ($18.3M total over 5 years)
DT Maliek Collins ($22.2M total over 4 years)
DT Stephan Paea ($5.56M total over 1 year)
CB Orlando Scandrick ($5.34M total over 1 year)
SS Jeff Heath ($11.3M total over 3 years)
LE Daeshon Hall ($3.88M total over 2 years)
RE Charles Tapper ($5.22M total over 2 years)
MLB Anthony Walker Jr ($3.92M total over 2 years)
TE Rico Gathers ($1.74M total over 1 year)
WR Kolby Listenbee ($1.97M total over 1 year)
There's a few people I'll obviously let walk like Stephen Paea, Jeff Heath, and an aging Orlando Scandrick. But man, looking at those first five names, that's tough!!! I have absolutely no clue on how to retain all those guys and I desperately want to. Luckily, I have suitable replacements in mind in the instance they do skedaddle.
I just fear when Dallas has a similar situation in a few years. How can they re-sign the likes of Elliott, Prescott, Collins, Brown, and Jaylon Smith?
