RAW #1265
Intercontinental Champion The Miz began tonight's show with his Miztourage, trashing Kurt Angle for not booking him on the main card as the champion. The Miz said if this title isn't enough to bring him attention, he'll challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. John Cena then came to the ring and said as his free agent status, he's yet to be the WWE Universal Champion, and he should be there. The Miz recalled beating Cena at WrestleMania and Cena mentioned he needed The Rock's help when Braun Strowman heads out. Strowman made it clear he's not finished in the title picture and feels he can beat Lesnar one-on-one. Kurt Angle answered the call and said he's seeing eye to eye with Strowman after his dominance over Lesnar and the field last night. Angle says he wants to sign off on Braun Strowman versus Brock Lesnar at No Mercy next month. Cena and Miz are upset, in which Angle said he spent this afternoon crafting the return of the Gold Rush tournament. He informs John Cena and The Miz are both in that tournament, and he'll have The Miz go ahead in his first-round matchup against Roman Reigns.
The official bracket is released: [The Miz] v [Roman Reigns] [John Cena] v [Samoa Joe] [Bray Wyatt] v [Finn Balor] [Cesaro] v [Sheamus]
Gold Rush Tournament Quarterfinals: Roman Reigns defeats The Miz via a Superman Punch after fending off the Miztourage. Roman Reigns advances to the next round.
Cesaro and Sheamus are discussing the bracket and facing off against each other. They vow to be tag team partners and best friends are tonight, but understand setting differences aside for the Universal Championship.Lince Dorado and Rich Swann defeats Drew Gulak and Tony Nese via a Standing 450 Splash of Swann on Gulak.Corey Graves, Michael Cole, and Booker T break down tonight's card, including the rest of the Gold Rush tournament. Then, Sasha Banks is backstage with her newly won Raw Women's Championship when approached by Alicia Fox. Alicia Fox pointed out Sasha has never successfully defended her title, and Banks fired back saying Alicia Fox has never won the title in the first place. Alicia Fox couldn't take that well, as she snapped and said Banks is going down tonight.
Gold Rush Tournament Quarterfinals: Bray Wyatt defeats Finn Balor via a Sister Abigail. Bray Wyatt advances to the next round.
Jason Jordan enters Kurt Angle's general manager office and asks his father why he wasn't inserted in the Gold Rush Tournament. Angle said he can't play favorites and the Raw roster is stacked with talent, but only eight slots were available. Jason Jordan said he felt left out, but it's cool, that there was nothing out of the norm for him as he steps out of the office.
Enzo Amore steps to the ring with a weight scale in there. Enzo Amore makes it known he's weighing in to join 205 Live. Enzo had an official look at his measurements and found he was 200 pounds. Enzo officially announced he was joining the Cruiserweight division, and this called the King of Cruiserweights to the ring. The champion Neville said that Enzo can be on 205 Live, but stay out of his way unless he'd like to be humbled. Neville then ordered Enzo to get out of his ring for competition next. Enzo obliged, but decided to go up and join the commentary team.Neville defeats Mustafa Ali via the Rings of Saturn submission. This was a non-title contest.Neville held the Cruiserweight Championship up, making sure Enzo Amore knows his place, as Amore just got introduced to the division.
Seth Rollins is in the locker room when Dean Ambrose brings in some popcorn. Rollins asks what the occasion is, when Ambrose points to the screen when Cesaro and Sheamus are going one-on-one versus each other.
Gold Rush Tournament Quarterfinals: Cesaro defeats Sheamus via a Small Package. Cesaro advances to the next round.
Sheamus stayed back arguing with the official, believing his shoulder got up before the third mat smack. Cesaro tried to calm him down, but Sheamus just stormed out angry into the commercial break.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman headed to the ring after Heyman bragged on Brock Lesnar retaining the WWE Universal Championship against a colossal challenge. Heyman then questions the Braun Strowman pick. Heyman commended Strowman on his strength, but asked if Kurt Angle now hands out title opportunities like the rest in the past. Paul Heyman then said Kurt Angle is no different from Mick Foley who handed a title shot to Goldberg. Heyman labeled Lesnar a hero for getting the title off Goldberg, and when he did that, Lesnar vowed to main event WrestleMania as the WWE Universal Champion and will do so.
Sasha Banks defeats Alicia Fox via a Banks Statement submission. This was a non-title contest.
Sheamus is pitching a fit backstage and Cesaro rushes in to calm Sheamus down, in which Cesaro is pushed down into a stack of boxes and Sheamus storms off from his partner again.
The commentary trio mention what goes down next week, namely the semifinals of the Gold Rush tournament. We then get the final quarterfinals round in the main event now with John Cena and Samoa Joe, a first time ever.
Samoa Joe defeats John Cena via a Muscle Buster; this provided by a run-in interference by the Miztourage. Samoa Joe advances to the next round.
After Samoa Joe advanced, The Miz rushed the ring and beat down the remains of John Cena along with Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel before putting Cena down with a Skull Crushing Finale, while The Miz stands tall after tonight's Raw.

SMACKDOWN #940
SmackDown Live began with Baron Corbin pitching a fit over losing his Money in the Bank briefcase and feels he should get a rightful opportunity at Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship. Randy Orton came to beg a differ, letting Corbin know he lost the Money in the Bank briefcase on his own. Then, Shinsuke Nakamura came out and his presence alone made it clear he wants another shot at Jinder Mahal. Shane McMahon then stepped out, making a triple threat match for later tonight official, determining a #1 contender.
The New Day defeats The Usos© via Midnight Hour for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships. Big E and Kofi Kingston ushered in The New Day's 4th reign.

AJ Styles defeats Mike Kanellis via Calf Crusher. This was a non-title contest.
WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was asked backstage by Dasha Fuentes about what he thinks of the triple threat #1 contenders match later tonight, in which he confidently stated he's beaten all three of them and questions why they even have the opportunity, but really he couldn't care less who wins because the result will be the same. Shane McMahon came and explained why they all have the shot, because one way or another, Mahal cheated all three out of becoming WWE Champion. Shane informs Mahal people are beginning to question his legacy as WWE Champion. This makes Mahal boil inside as the Commissioner walks away.

Sami Zayn defeats Kevin Owens via a Helluva Kick; albeit the official never saw Owens get his foot on the bottom rope before the 3-count.
After seeing the replay, Kevin Owens is furious and his frustration boils over after the commercial break and he is so irate he grabs the attention of the United States Champion. AJ Styles says if Kevin Owens wants the title so bad, he's willing to put the championship on the line one more time. Owens said it isn't up to AJ Styles, it's up to the Face of America, and he accepts. Styles said to name the place and the time.
