It’s like Christmas time in the Summer for NFL fans! I’m thinking about whipping together a mock draft of some of the first picks.

Not fond that the two players I was most high on, Saquon Barkley and Da'Ron Payne, go to division rivals.
maaaaaan Dallas better hope Leighton Vander Esch pans out with Lee and Jaylon.

So the first two picks in the 2nd round are o-linemen
Cleveland took Corbett from Nevada Giants take Hernandez from UTEP
so the Browns take Nick Chubb (finally) with the 35th pick.

No QBs taken in the 2nd RD. Pretty surprised with Mason Rudolph still out there.

Steelers take Mason Rudolph. Wow! Wonder if he’s Big Ben’s successor??? He very well could be. I believe it was more significant they jumped ahead of two Cincinnati picks back-to-back to get Rudolph. Does Pittsburgh truly believe Mason Rudolph is the guy, or did they think Cincy would take him and they just didn't want to play Rudolph? That war room must have been an interesting one while making that trade.

Who had a better QB/WR combination in college football last year than Rudolph/Washington? Nobody. Just think about that in the long run for the Steelers.

Who had a better QB/WR combination in college football last year than Rudolph/Washington? Nobody. Just think about that in the long run for the Steelers. I'm not sure if that has much of an impact, honestly. Washington will likely get first-team reps while Rudolph works with the second-team. If Rudolph plays in 2018 due to injury, I could see that playing a factor. But the likelihood of both being used to their Oklahoma State productivity on the same team, it just doesn't happen often. I thought the same thing when Andrew Luck was drafted with his Stanford tight end Coby Fleener. Turns out, the Colts used fellow rookie tight end Dwayne Allen more, and Fleener was an outcast who is now in New Orleans. I guess once you find a better option, you rush to that. Luck did with Allen, and I think Rudolph would too with the likes of Antonio Brown, JuJu, and even Vance MacDonald.
