Quick thoughts:

- finally good to see Tony Nese win the strap.

- Women's battle royal is always a waste.

- Saw the dubious streak ending, but they'll likely lose it tonight on Raw

- Strowman destroying Jost and everyone else was obvious, even if they needed Strowman elsewhere on the show

- starting with Rollins/Lesnar was shocking but Lesnar got paid WAY too much for a match shorter than his Goldberg match. Hopefully this signals the concrete end to Lesnar.

- Styles/Orton was incredible, of course. Shocked they let Styles go over.

- Fatal 4 way SD tag was fast-paced and loved The Usos retaining

- Miz killing Shane, yet Shane winning, it was perfectly scripted. We haven't seen the end of this though

- IIconics had upset of the night. Not a fan of this decision either but we'll see how it works

- Does Kofi's win signal the end of the New Day? Grateful for him, but didn't believe he'd be the first African-American to be WWE Champion

- Joe destroying Mysterio was likely because of Rey's injury, so Mysterio should take time off and Joe should have a dominant reign

- Reigns/McIntyre was pleasant to watch. Obviously Reigns goes over and nobody boos

- Triple H/Batista exceeded my expectations. Perfect script ending to Batista's career and Triple H can continue to wrestle his NXT guys

- DOCTOR OF THUGANOMICS! Wish he did wrestle Angle, but I did mark out.

- Angle needs to be credited for letting Corbin go over to give him a push. Legendary career and Corbin will get a skyrocket push as a heel

- DEMON BALOR! That went as expected


Now the main event was the worst. It didn't live up to expectations and Rousey botched the majority of her moves. Nothing looked smooth or clean the entire match. The ending botched the biggest moment in women's wrestling history. Highly disappointed and didn't deserve twice as much time as Reigns/McIntyre.

Overall I enjoyed the show, if I quit with 25 minutes left.

My thoughts...

I’m in the same boat as you about Tony Nese.  The dude definitely deserves it.

BOTH battle royals are a waste in my opinion.  They haven’t furthered anyone’s career thus far.

I agree about Ryder and Hawkins, don’t envision them holding the titles very long.

I hope Lesnar is GONE!  The Universal Championship has no value unless it’s on every single week.  Can’t wait to see Seth’s reign.

I fully expected Orton to win this.  Hope we get to see them go at it again.

I’m also glad the Usos won.

Picture perfect ending to Miz and Shane.  Shane’s win doesn’t get anymore heel than that!

I’m glad the IIconics won.  Hopefully they’ll be booked right as champs.

I don’t see the end of the New Day.  So happy for Kofi too.  Hope he’s given a chance for a real reign.

I too thought Mysterio’s injury played a role in Joe’s dominance.  Now I hope that dominance continues. 

I really wanted Drew to win but obviously it’s nice to see Roman win after what he’s been through.  That had to feel amazing for him.

Cena bringing back the Dr. of Thuganomics was awesome, but there were rumors swirling of biker Undertaker returning last night, and I would much rather have seen that.

Triple H and Batista blew me away.  Triple H can still go for a few more years and Batista ends a historic career on his own terms.  It was perfect.

So glad Corbin won.  WWE needs more big named heels, and Corbin could become just that.

Balor winning was what I wanted.  Match felt rushed though, probably because of how late it was.  Still it was a good match with awesome spots.

Main event time.  It felt like Ronda regressed a little in this one but I didn’t really notice because I was too busy cheering for Becky.  I thought it was solid and main event worthy.  But hey everyone has their opinions, and I definitely respect that.
