WWE.com released a conference meeting report after a vigorous meeting involving the McMahons, both Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff among others. This meeting was described as "very constructive" as the two sides entered agreements on several aspects that will bring about immediate change to the WWE landscape. These are as follows: The end of the Wild Card rule: ApprovedHeyman and Bischoff wanted the Wild Card rule expunged from their shows, as they want two completely separate brands to prosper. This means no contracted talent will be allowed to wrestle for the other brand, with the exception of dual-brand champions such as those holding the 24/7 Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championships. TV-14 Broadcasts: TabledHeyman and Bischoff both want the access to TV-14 broadcasts, dumping the PG era. This had been discussed ever since Heyman and Bischoff were brought on as Executive Directors, and feel this would allow more freedom with scripts. Vince McMahon is said to be trusting Heyman and Bischoff's expertise with the decision, yet Stephanie McMahon is adamantly against it because of the children exposure. This discussion was tabled for a further meeting because both USA and Fox networks must be in agreement for Raw, SmackDown, or both to move to TV-14. The end of 205 Live: ApprovedWith WWE programming producing Raw, SmackDown, 205 Live, NXT, and NXT UK on a weekly basis, the decision was to cut 205 Live from its budget. Ever since November 2016, the brand has failed to become the huge success it was aimed to be. WWE believes this wasted too much money and figured talents could be used on other brands. The end date is prepared to be Tuesday, October 1st after the final SmackDown broadcast on USA. Cruiserweight Championship and Talent Future: TabledThe 205 Live finale also raises questions about the talent and the Cruiserweight Championship. Both Heyman and Bischoff expressed interest in housing the cruiserweight division on their specific brands, but neither sold the McMahon family on the idea. WWE does not wish to release many, if at all, of the 205 Live competitors with competition looming. Therefore, the championship and entire division is still up in the air. It is unclear whether the division and championship will be assigned to Raw or SmackDown, or even NXT was pitched by Triple H, or if the division will cease to exist while talent is split up among the brands. Vince aims to discuss this in their September meeting. Superstar Shakeup: AmendedHeyman and Bischoff both expressed interest in doing a fall Superstar Shakeup prior to SmackDown's move to Fox in order to give both brands a fresher feel while giving the new Executive Directors talent they desired from the other brand. Vince loved the idea, but wants to keep the "Superstar Shakeup" theme for the spring following WrestleMania. It was amended that instead, a "Lottery" be held. The tentative (unofficial) plans are to hold a dual-branded WWE Network event on Friday, September 13th to hold this Lottery with cross-branded matchups and ending the night with new faces on the scene. The idea has lots of uncertainty for finding a venue close to the Carolinas to hold the event in. If not, WWE is prepared to change the date or even make it a two-night Lottery by doing it on Raw and SmackDown Live. While the motion isn't tabled or everything set in stone, the green light has been given to hold this and to book a venue. The overall vibe after the meeting was positive for everyone, with a lot accomplished, but a hunger to get a lot more accomplished in next month's meeting. Both Bischoff and Heyman expressed interest in not only competing with each other, but other wrestling companies to better their product. The McMahon family, however, denied any competition with other promotions and companies. The next meeting is scheduled for September 19th, where the unfinished business can be discussed, as well as other new motions can be brought to the floor.

Mentioned at the top of the show was the results of last week, and coming from the offices of Paul Heyman, tonight is dedicated to the return of the Beat the Clock Sprint! The one with the lowest time will receive an opportunity at Seth Rollins' Universal Championships at Clash of Champions.
AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe in a Beat the Clock Sprint Styles and Joe kicked it off, and while both went for falls and submissions early, this match drug on because of both competitors will. The match was clocked in at 14:09 when AJ Styles tried for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Joe sidestepped and locked in the Coquina Clutch, forcing the United States Champion to submit.
Baron Corbin is seen watching the match when he's approached for an interview about his placement in the Beat the Clock Sprint. Corbin said tonight he's been informed he is wrestling The Miz. Corbin says he is confident on being the next Universal Champion, so The Miz might as well go ahead and forfeit.
Cedric Alexander vs. Sami Zayn in a Beat the Clock Sprint Zayn and Alexander both took advantage of the opportunity to wrestle in this match, and both weren't really in a hurry until the last five minutes to go for pins. However, after a spectacular performance, the two ran out after both had hit two finishing moves, and time expired as the two were staggering with punches. At the buzzer, both fell on their backs after a tremendous match.
Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch is backstage and asked about her thoughts of Natalya's attack last week. Lynch begs Natalya to come close again to her tonight, because she'll be in the ring waiting, and Natalya will be put her in place.
Prior to Ricochet's Beat the Clock Sprint opportunity next, they show a recap of The Fiend's attack on last week's episode. In addition, a graphic is shown of Samoa Joe's 14:09 to beat.
EC3 vs. Ricochet in a Beat the Clock Sprint EC3 and Ricochet are putting on a show, and they pass the ten minute mark, and continue going. All of a sudden, the lights begin to shut off one by one, and we see The Fiend once again appear, hitting Ricochet with Sister Abigail. The lights return and the clock is malfunctioned for a second before displaying the time remaining, while EC3 sees his opportunity and pins Ricochet! EC3 sets the time now at 11:44 and is currently slated to wrestle Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions, thanks to Bray Wyatt.
Drew McIntyre is storming through the backstage area and finds Paul Heyman. McIntyre demands answers for not being in the Beat the Clock Sprint. Heyman recites McIntyre losing to Seth Rollins last week, therefore he's had his chance. McIntyre claimed this was because of Lesnar getting involved and he didn't need Lesnar's help. After going back and forth, McIntyre got fed up and pushed Heyman against the wall where Heyman caved. McIntyre relented and said McIntyre has his chance against Braun Strowman.
In the ring is Becky Lynch and she calls Natalya out to the ring. Lynch waits around and when she goes outside to grab a chair to sit in, she hears Natalya's music. Lynch slides in the ring and waits with the chair in hand, but it is Natalya whom attacks Lynch from behind with a chair of her own. Natalya unleashes on the Raw Women's Champion and locks in the Sharpshooter until she is rendered unconscious. Natalya then placed Lynch's chair underneath her head and went for a con-chair-toe but officials rushed from the back to prevent Natalya from doing so as it's a good time for a commercial break.
Cesaro vs. Robert Roode in a Beat the Clock Sprint In a rematch of last week's match that resulted in Roode picking up the victory, tonight both fought more with higher stakes. However, Cesaro evened the score with catching Roode off familiar territory (the top rope) and hitting a Very European Uppercut that knocked Roode's lights out at 8:21 to become the man with the new time to set.
The OC is by the trainers room when AJ Styles stumbles out. Gallows and Anderson asked how he was, when Styles responded he was fine. Samoa Joe then passes by and wishes Styles well, because after tonight, he believes he should be next in line for the United States Championship. Styles mocked Joe, saying he couldn't get the Universal Championship so he's coming for the United States title as if it is a consolation prize. Styles said he'd never get an opportunity while he is champion. Joe looked at Gallows and Anderson before backing away, telling Styles he'll see him very soon.
The Usos, Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Cross vs. The Revival, Sarah Logan, and Ruby Riott In an 8-person mixed tag team match, serving as a break from the Beat the Clock Sprint, the two sides functioned very well together. However, it was Twisted Bliss on Sarah Logan that served as a win for their side.
After a commercial, Baron Corbin made his way to the ring and requested The Miz to forfeit his spot in the Beat the Clock Sprint, allowing Corbin to win the match in 10 seconds. Corbin is forcing the official to begin the match and the count, but as Corbin is intimidating him, the music begins. The Miz jumps Corbin from behind and the match begins.
Baron Corbin vs. The Miz in a Beat the Clock Sprint The Miz got the early jump, but Corbin was able to get back in advantage. The Miz had hit a Skull Crushing Finale that Corbin had kicked out of, and as he went for a second, Corbin countered with the End of Days. Corbin made the cover and The Miz kicked out! Corbin yelled at the official as about 30 seconds were left, when he went back to The Miz and got out of a small package predicament. Corbin and Miz both pop up and Miz dodges a lariat, but only to be caught by the End of Days. Corbin went for the cover, but The Miz rolled out of the ring. Corbin went to get The Miz out, but as he rolled him back in the ring, time expired.
As Baron Corbin was frustrated, he knocked the official down. Corbin then continued the assault on The Miz inside the ring. Rey Mysterio then answered the call by rushing to The Miz's aid, clearing the ring of Corbin.
Backstage, Paul Heyman is looking on and gets approached by Samoa Joe who wants an opportunity at AJ Styles for the United States Championship. Heyman commended Joe for beating the champion tonight, but the United States Championship is no consolation prize. Heyman though recognizes he did win his match tonight, but so did EC3. Heyman makes the match Samoa Joe versus EC3 for the #1 contender rights.
Braun Strowman vs. Drew McIntyre in a Beat the Clock Sprint With the 8:21 time to beat, McIntyre and Strowman went at it full-pace. To start the match, McIntyre hit the Claymore. While this didn't get Strowman done, this set the momentum for the match. A few minutes later Strowman would battle back and Strowman nearly hit the running powerslam, but McIntyre slid off the back and pushed him into the corner. As Strowman stumbled back, McIntyre hit a third Claymore of the match. McIntyre pinned the Monster Among Men at the 6:34 mark.
Drew McIntyre celebrated the win and exited the ring. McIntyre was backing up the ramp until 24/7 Champion R-Truth's music hit! SmackDown Live's R-Truth comes to the ring and gets a microphone to explain nobody saw him all night and he is leaving Monday Night Raw tonight still champion! ... But then Paul Heyman came out as McIntyre stood there at the curtain confused. Heyman said R-Truth made the trip tonight, so to collect a paycheck, he must wrestle. Truth clutched his title, but Heyman said he would allow R-Truth to wrestle in the Beat the Clock Sprint. McIntyre was pissed, but Truth was skeptical, and Heyman announced his opponent... BROCK LESNAR! Lesnar came out and McIntyre was so annoyed. McIntyre then tried battling Lesnar at the ramp, but Lesnar threw him off the ramp and into the steel guardrail as Lesnar darted to the ring for the match to begin.
Brock Lesnar vs. R-Truth in a Beat the Clock Sprint R-Truth was timid, but Lesnar toyed around with him. McIntyre nearly went after Lesnar, but knowing this would cost him his title opportunity, he stayed by and cheered R-Truth on. This was until, the final two minutes came and Lesnar intensified. Lesnar hit several German Suplexes and then finished Truth off with an F-5 with 31 minutes remaining. Lesnar won in 6:03.
Drew McIntyre hung his head low as he walked to the back frustrated for the opportunity being stripped from him, as Brock Lesnar is headed to Clash of Champions. Lesnar then looks at R-Truth's lifeless body, shrugs his shoulders, and picked Truth up again to hit another F-5 before covering him. Lesnar demanded the official to count it, and afterward, Lesnar grabbed the 24/7 Championship as he just won the title! The screen faded as Lesnar laughed with his new title, with another in his sights.
