The WWE was in need of a major shakeup for its main brands. NXT was thriving, but with AEW as new and fresh competition posing a threat to the mainstream wrestling business, Vince McMahon knew something had to be done. After lengthy discussions with his family, he decided to bring on Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as the lead men for Raw and SmackDown Live respectively. After further discussion, Vince decided it would be best to let them control the main brands and Triple H to continue controlling the NXT brand.
A new era is about to pick up after SummerSlam.

You may now post! I'll be adding stuff in as SummerSlam comes to a close, as I'll be using their results for this booker. Also, this will only focus on Raw, SmackDown, and the main brand PPVs. No NXT will be part of this booker, as I want debuts from the NXT brand to be a surprise.

Monday Night Raw begins with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Heyman mentions that with his "tug behind the curtain" he is granting Lesnar his rematch for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions in 5 weeks. The new Universal Champion comes out and takes issue with this, considering he didn't get an automatic rematch and had to earn it in a 10-man battle royal. Rollins then said he wants to see Lesnar in a 10-man battle royal tonight to earn his opportunity. Unfortunately, Heyman laughed. It was then, surprisingly, Vince McMahon who came out and got in the ring. Vince told Heyman he was in control of Monday Night Raw, but that shouldn't show any favorites and not award automatic rematches. Heyman then backtracked and made the main event for tonight: Seth Rollins versus Drew McIntyre. If Rollins can pin McIntyre, Lesnar will not receive an automatic rematch at Clash of Champions.
Raw Women's Tag Team Championships: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane (with Paige) One night after retaining against the IIconics, Bliss and Cross are at it again, and walk out with their championships again by Nikki hitting Kairi Sane with the Purge.
Backstage, AJ Styles and the OC are trying to get on Paul Heyman's good side. Instead, what happens, is Heyman puts AJ Styles in a match against Rey Mysterio.
SmackDown's Dolph Ziggler comes out, per the Wild Card rule, and speaks of his match against Goldberg last night being a fluke. Ziggler is irate with the same people making fun of Goldberg back in the 90s are cheering him on twenty years later when he's gotten worse as a wrestler. The Miz came down and laughed at Ziggler for only lasting 1 minute and 46 seconds against Goldberg. Ziggler said The Miz won't even last that long against him now. They then add the stipulation that the time limit of the match will be 1 minute and 46 seconds.
Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz with a 1:46 time limit Ziggler had a few close calls, but as the time limit approached, The Miz tried hooking in the Figure Four but Ziggler pushed him away and rolled under the bottom rope. Ziggler stumbled up the ramp as time expired in the match.
24/7 Champion R-Truth is hanging around Jurassic Park with Carmella when a dinosaur costume runs up to him. R-Truth finds it funny until the dinosaur hits a crossbody on Truth! A referee rushes by with mustard on his face from eating a hot dog, and counts the 3. The dinosaur then removes his head and it's revealed to be Titus O'Neil! Titus O'Neil is the new 24/7 Champion.
Baron Corbin catches Paul Heyman in the hall and asks for a match tonight after not having one at SummerSlam, and Heyman doesn't give him the time of day saying he is busy at the moment and storms off.
Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch comes to the ring, gloating after last night's victory against hometown hero Natalya and claiming to be Canada's new hero. Lynch then said that Clash of Champions is coming up, and she'll be walking in and walking out as champion. Alicia Fox interrupts and tells Lynch she isn't so sure about walking out, because if she can beat Lynch tonight, she wants her title opportunity then. Lynch laughed and accepted her challenge.
Alicia Fox vs. Becky Lynch Fox had a lot of frustration to take out on Becky Lynch and targeted the lower back much of the match. However, once Fox slipped up and got in the Disarmher, she had no choice but to submit to the Raw Women's Champion.
Lynch was backpedaling to the locker room when she was blindsided by Natalya! The Queen of Harts brutalized Lynch and placed her into a Sharpshooter on the stage that had to be pried apart by officials. Natalya stood over Lynch and shouted in her face that it isn't over just yet!
The new 24/7 Champion Titus O'Neil rushes inside the arena clutching his newly won belt, escaping the ex-champion R-Truth.
Baron Corbin comes to the ring and says he feels disrespected for not being on the biggest show of the summer last night, despite being the best thing Raw has going for them. Corbin then says he will be taking matters into his own hands to get television time, so he is issuing an open challenge to anyone who feels just as disrespected as he for not being on the SummerSlam card. Out comes "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman now.
Baron Corbin vs. Braun Strowman Corbin regrets issuing an open challenge because it is Strowman that puts this match away with a running powerslam, as Strowman's equally upset for not being on the show last night.
R-Truth is seen with Carmella trying to enter the building for tonight's Raw, but security doesn't see him on the list and won't allow him in. Meanwhile, Titus O'Neil is at a nearby monitor watching what is happening outside when he is pushed into the monitor and rolled up from behind by EC3 to become the new 24/7 Champion!
Drew McIntyre approaches Paul Heyman and says he is flattered to be picked to wrestle in the main event tonight, but he doesn't think it's right that if he beats Rollins, that it is Lesnar receiving the title opportunity. Heyman says he's right, and after Clash of Champions when Lesnar is the Universal Champion, McIntyre is promised the first opportunity. McIntyre pushed back, saying when he beats Rollins tonight, he wants the Universal Championship match at Clash of Champions. Heyman shakes his head, and throws the compromise out that if McIntyre wins tonight, the match becomes a triple threat in Charlotte. McIntyre and Heyman finally come to terms with an agreement, motivating the Scottish Psychopath to win tonight.
AJ Styles (with The OC) vs. Rey Mysterio This was a contest that stole the show, yet The OC was constantly getting involved, and they were finally sent to the back. When they refused, it was the War Raiders that came down and took care of business, brawling with the OC to the locker room. This became a fair 1-on-1 contest then, and after about 7-8 minutes passing, it was Styles still emerging victorious with the Styles Clash.
R-Truth is still in the parking lot trying to get inside of the arena, when the door opens and Titus O'Neil is being stretchered away. Truth jumps Titus and tries to pin him, but Carmella pries R-Truth off and tries explaining he doesn't have the belt. Truth asks Titus O'Neil who is the champion, but he's out of it and is transported into the ambulance.
A video package is played in honor of Trish Stratus and her legendary career, as Michael Cole and the commentary team bid their farewells to the legendary Hall of Famer who laced up her boots one last time in a losing effort to Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam.
Eric Young vs. Ricochet Following his loss last night, Ricochet was not holding anything back. Ricochet absolutely dominated Eric Young and finished it off with a 630 Senton.
Afterward, Ricochet grabbed the microphone and began to tell AJ Styles that he isn't through chasing the United States Championship... yet, the eerie lights begin and the next visual has The Fiend hitting Sister Abigail on Ricochet. We then head to commercial.
After the commercial break, the commentary team is trying to wrap their minds around why Bray Wyatt has went after Ricochet tonight.
EC3 is rolling his luggage out the door and passes by R-Truth and Carmella, who are still trying to get inside the building and find out who the 24/7 Champion is. EC3 bids Truth and Carmella ado and gets to his car, looks at the camera, and says he'll see them tomorrow on SmackDown!
Cesaro vs. Robert Roode Robert Roode, wrestling in his home country, had a tough match against Cesaro but was able to pull out a big win, thanks to the Glorious DDT.
Michael Cole and the commentary crew recap last night's main event from SummerSlam, followed by what took place earlier tonight when the main event was announced. If Rollins wins, Brock Lesnar doesn't receive an automatic rematch at Clash of Champions next month. If McIntyre wins, Rollins will defend his Universal Championship against both Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre in a triple threat.
Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins McIntyre and Rollins had a great main event. When things looked south for McIntyre and Rollins was in position to hit the Curb Stomp, Brock Lesnar's music hit and he ran down and got on the apron. This distracted Rollins and the two shouted back and forth at each other, as the official stepped in to make sure things didn't get physical. This distraction allowed McIntyre to regain himself and he went for the Claymore, but Rollins sidestepped and it connected with the Beast. McIntyre was stunned, looking down at Lesnar, as Rollins hit the Ripcord Knee and McIntyre falls to the mat for Rollins to pin his shoulders down for 3.
Universal Champion Seth Rollins is celebrating with the Toronto crowd as he hops the barricade, knowing Lesnar won't be getting his entitled rematch clause at Clash of Champions, and McIntyre won't be in the title picture either.

Great start to your latest booker! Love how Heyman immediately tried to abuse his power. Ziggler taking a coward’s way out. What else is new? Can’t wait to see how you play this rivalry out. HAHAHA! Jurassic Park! I LOVE IT! The Fiend is targeting Ricochet?! Nice win for Robert Roode. I’d love to see him get a push. He’s long over due. SmackDown begins tonight with Kevin Owens in the ring and Owens rallies the Toronto crowd after defeating Shane McMahon last night at SummerSlam. Shane O'Mac and Elias head out together, saying Owens that he is far from done with Kevin Owens. Shane O'Mac is then cut off by his father Vince. Vince McMahon said that times are tough here in the WWE, and he's made some tough decisions, but Owens is surprisingly right for once. Vince let Shane O'Mac go of his control of SmackDown Live and with the new changes SmackDown is headed towards, he's put a new man in charge... Eric Bischoff! Bischoff appears on WWE TV for the first time in forever and says Shane McMahon is still on as a contracted wrestler, so he makes the tag team match: Elias and Shane McMahon versus Kevin Owens and a partner of his choosing. Bischoff states whoever is pinned in tonight's main event will leave SmackDown Live.
Buddy Murphy vs. Rowan (with Daniel Bryan) After Murphy's accusation and Murphy's attack, these two went head-to-head and it was Rowan silencing Murphy with an Iron Claw Slam.
After Rowan's victory, Bryan made a point to get on the microphone and vouch for Rowan's innocence.
24/7 Champion EC3 is shown entering the arena and after a couple turns down the hall, he comes face-to-face with Curtis Axel, with an official right behind him. EC3 throws the first punch, and the two brawl through the hallway before EC3 hits TK3 and retains his 24/7 Championship against Curtis Axel.
Announced via Eric Bischoff's office is an Intercontinental Championship match to happen tonight, Shinsuke Nakamura versus Shelton Benjamin.
IIconics vs. The Kabuki Warriors (with Paige) Following championship match losses to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, the two teams collided to get momentum back on their side. It was Asuka applying the Asuka Lock on Peyton Royce to get a submission victory and another in the win column.
Kevin Owens is backstage and is asked by Sarah Schreiber about him fighting for a job once again tonight. Owens says he's not concerned because he was in this situation on Sunday and he's still here, but Shane should be worried... or Elias for that matter. Owens then gets asked who his tag team partner is, and he isn't sure until Aleister Black appears. Black says he's ready to put Shane and Elias out of their misery. Owens smiles and shakes Black's hand.
Charlotte Flair comes to the ring and mentions she was humbled by getting in the ring with the Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. Charlotte says it was a dream come true and while Trish goes off in the sunset, she has her eyes set on reclaiming her throne as SmackDown Women's Champion. Bayley comes to the ring and says she's earned it beating Trish Stratus, but a diva from the Ruthless Aggression era is not a woman from the Women's Revolution. Charlotte warned Bayley that her fairy tale will end, in which Bayley responds Charlotte will wake up from her dream.
EC3 is looking for his locker room and matches the door to the number on a piece of paper. EC3 steps in and multiple people on the SmackDown Live roster see EC3 and chase the 24/7 Champion out of the locker room and down the hall. EC3 slides behind a wall, watching the rest of the roster, while he then looks beside him and sees Aiden English. EC3 and English brawl and an official sees, in which English begs him to count, but EC3 uses this moment to get on top and hit the TK3 on a crate to retain the 24/7 Championship.
Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Shelton Benjamin Benjamin is trying to become a 4-time Intercontinental Champion, but his hopes and a great match end with a Kinshasa by Nakamura.
During Nakamura's celebration, television moves backstage where Aleister Black was attacked and is down, as medical attention is brought into a commercial break. Following, Kevin Owens is informed and with a great guess of who attacked Black, he now needs a new partner for tonight's main event. As he stresses, he then gets a tap on the shoulder by someone out of the frame. Owens turns around and gets a big smile, asking if he wanted to be his partner tonight.
A recap of Sunday's WWE Championship match is shown when Randy Orton comes to the ring. Orton tells Kingston that he lost his control and was too emotional to be a WWE Champion. Orton told Kingston he would've loved to RKO Kingston in front of his kid one more time. Orton is having a replay shown of the catch-RKO until Kofi Kingston jumps in the ring and emotionally attacks Orton until The Viper escapes the champion's grasps and hightails it to the back.
A video package is shown of the attacks on Roman Reigns over the last number of weeks and he was unable to travel to Canada for this weekend's events. It is announced, however, that Reigns will be on SmackDown Live next week.
24/7 Champion EC3 comes to the ring to bask in his greatness for reigning as the 24/7 Champion, proving that all the SmackDown Live competitors are inferior and aren't bright enough to trick the man in the Top 1 Percent. At this time, Matt Hardy jumps the barricade with a referee and gets behind EC3 and pulls him around for a Twist of Fate. Hardy pins EC3. Matt Hardy is the new 24/7 Champion! Yet, as Matt Hardy backs up the ramp, he's caught from behind by R-Truth with a steel chair in the back. Truth regains the 24/7 Championship! R-Truth then rushes off before anyone can take away his title.
As Kevin Owens comes to the ring, he introduces his tag team partner, Raw's Sami Zayn! Zayn comes down per the Wild Card rule, but when Shane McMahon and Elias come, they have issues with Zayn being the chosen partner. They claim with the stipulation being they must leave SmackDown Live, Sami Zayn isn't eligible because he is a Raw superstar. The fans boo, as Zayn is dismissed, and they prepare for a 2-on-1 handicap match... yet Finn Balor's music hits!
Elias & Shane McMahon vs. Finn Balor & Kevin Owens In a match where the pinned superstar must leave SmackDown Live, these four are giving it their all. Balor and Owens first take out Elias, but then they focus on Shane O'Mac because that is their goal to rid SmackDown Live or the McMahon. So, Balor and Owens double-team Shane. Elias does clothesline Owens over the top rope, but this leaves Balor to work on Shane. Balor hits a dropkick in the corner and goes up for Coup de Grace. All of a sudden, Raw superstar Drew McIntyre runs in and distracts the official long enough for Elias to smash the guitar on Finn Balor, dropping Balor to the ring, where Shane McMahon makes a lifeless cover over Finn Balor.
The air goes out of the arena as Elias, Shane O'Mac, and Drew McIntyre celebrate the victory, when Kevin Owens gets inside and finds out that Balor no longer has a job on SmackDown Live. Owens apologizes and hugs Balor in the ring before Balor takes a bow to the crowd and leaves SmackDown Live for the final time.
