Cena then responds to this and appreciates the offer, but is stepping out of his tournament spot. Cena tells Bryan to give the opportunity to someone else. With a curveball thrown at him, Bryan accepts Cena's resignation from the tournament. The Miz then comes and makes a mockery of Cena, saying he was slated to face him in the first round and knew he would lose. The Usos vs. The VaudevilliansThe first tag team match for SmackDown Live finishes with The Vaudevillians taking a cheap victory over The Usos, with Gotch introducing a cane that knocked Jey out into a schoolboy pin, with the official not noticing until English was covering Jey Uso.Advertised for tonight is all six women in the ring that were drafted to SmackDown Live, but up next is the invitational battle royal for the eighth and final spot in the tournament. Open Invitational Battle RoyalA 10-man battle royal commenced and an eleventh tried entering the fray, undrafted free agent Heath Slater. Shane McMahon came to argue, but caved to Slater because it was an opportunity. Unfortunately, Slater was first eliminated by Baron Corbin. After Corbin toppled Zack Ryder over, the final two were Corbin and Neville. Corbin and Neville fought, but it was a headscissors that took Corbin to the floor for Neville to take the eighth spot. Following the match, Neville was attacked by The Miz from behind and Neville ate a Skull Crushing Finale onto the Intercontinental Championship, sending a message to his opponent next week as Maryse stood by supporting her husband's actions.A promo prompts the SmackDown Live debut of Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, the duo known as American Alpha.
Daniel Bryan introduces each of the six women. First, Carmella, who said her goal was to make SmackDown Live fabulous. Next came Natalya, who said SmackDown isn't about making the show fabulous, but it's about making people tap out. Natalya challenged Carmella to step in the ring with her once and she'll make her tap to the Sharpshooter. Next came Alexa Bliss who told Natalya that she and Carmella are the future and a women's revolution is happening around her, which is making people like Natalya dispensible. Next came Sasha Banks who took credit for the women's revolution, claiming Bliss and Carmella had nothing to do with it. Then came Paige who said the women's revolution wouldn't be a thing if it wasn't for her becoming the first NXT Women's Champion and winning the Divas Championship her first night. Paige claimed SmackDown Live as her house! Paige and Sasha stood toe-to-toe before Eva Marie emerged. Eva Marie said she might be on SmackDown Live, but she's about to make the blue brand all red. Bryan said the champions are on Raw, the Vaudevillians are on SmackDown Live, so Foley and him have had no contact.
