TRADEA MASSIVE deal was made in wake of the WWE Draft. Raw has shipped Bayley and Sasha Banks to SmackDown in return for Becky Lynch. Lynch brings the Raw Women's Championship back, while Bayley does the same with hers. When asked why Raw traded two of the top women wrestlers, USA Network representatives believe Becky Lynch is the best in the world and wanted the Irish Lasskicker back on Monday Night Raw. They equated her impact to the show like Stone Cold Steve Austin in the late 90's.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Skillet's "Finish Line" leads us into the show and a tremendous display of pyro. Michael Cole and Corey Graves are at ringside on commentary and they welcome everyone in attendance and watching at home! Cole starts to talk about how this is a historic night for Friday Night SmackDown, as it's the first show post WWE Draft! Corey Graves agrees and says that he has an inside scoop that we're in for a special treat to open the show. Just then, the theme of the WWE CEO, Vince McMahon hits! Vince receives a huge reaction as he confidently marches to the ring. As his theme cuts out, Vince welcomes everyone to Friday Night SmackDown! He then wastes no time as to why he is out here tonight, and on commentary, Corey Graves chimes in that his inside scoop is about to be revealed. Vince announces that the executives at Fox want a personal executive leading the charge on Friday nights. Vince says that he is talking about a General Manager! The crowd pops. He says that many candidates came to mind, but there was one man who stood out as an icon above the rest. Vince asks everyone to please welcome the new General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown...
IT'S STING! The Icon is leading the charge on Friday nights! The crowd is going nuts! Sting makes his way to the ring and he shakes hands with Vince before taking a mic. Sting says that when he got the call for the GM position, he didn't hesitate to say yes. Sting says that today's world of professional wrestling is above all the rest, and he couldn't be prouder to be apart of Friday Night SmackDown let alone leading it as it's General Manager. Vince chimes in and says that he has seen a lot of GMs come and go. He says that some succeed but even more fail. He wants to know what kind of GM Sting will be, and he wants to know now! Vince demands to hear Sting's first order of business as the new General Manager of SmackDown. Sting is quiet for a moment. Vince tells him that he's waiting and Sting raises a finger to hush the WWE CEO. Vince's eyes widen in shock as the crowd cheers. Sting says that he's got it! In tonight's main event, the vacant SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be on the line. Vince says that Sting's announcement is intriguing and he tells him to go on. Sting then announces that the two teams competing for the titles in tonight's main event will be, The Viking Raiders and The Bludgeon Brothers! The crowd loves it, as does Vince! Vince tells Sting that he's fitting in already. Vince goes to leave the ring but Sting says he isn't finished! Vince turns back to face Sting and Sting announces that the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar will be in action here tonight! And he will be going one on one with Rey Mysterio! The crowd cheers the announcement. Sting's theme hits and he leaves the ring with Vince. Cameras turn to Michael Cole and Corey Graves and they recap the two major match announcements just made by Sting. First they talk about tonight's main event and how it will be two of the most hard hitting and lethal teams in all of WWE going at it for the vacant SmackDown Tag Team Championship. They then go onto talk about the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar facing off against Rey Mysterio. Cole says that Rey will be looking for retribution after what Lesnar did to Rey's son, Dominick a couple of weeks ago on Raw. Graves says that he understands Rey's quest for vengeance, but he wouldn't be surprised if Rey left the arena the same way Dominick left just a couple of weeks ago, on a stretcher. The bell sounds for tonight's opening contest!
Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Cedric Alexander
Cedric Alexander has been thrown into the deep end on his first night with the blue brand, but it was just was the doctor ordered! Cedric Alexander scored the first upset of the night as he went onto defeat the reigning Intercontinental Champion with his signature, Lumbar Check, followed by the clean 1, 2, 3!
Winner via Pin Fall - Cedric Alexander!
As Alexander celebrated his victory, the announce team plugs that Alexander might have just punched his ticket to a future Intercontinental Title match after an impressive victory over the champion, Shinsuke Nakamura. Cameras fade away and the intro to the Firefly Fun House airs! The announce team states that Bray Wyatt will be live with a new episode of the Firefly Fun House later on tonight. Coming up after the break, the Women's Division takes center stage! Nikki Cross goes one on one with one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions, Asuka! Cross. Asuka. Next!
~Commercial~
We're back!
Nikki Cross w/ Alexa Bliss vs. WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Asuka w/ WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Kairi Sane
Nikki Cross and Asuka reignited their NXT rivalry in this one as both women looked to absolutely punish each other. Things seemed to be going Cross' way but Kairi Sane would climb up onto the apron to cause a distraction. Alexa Bliss quickly acted to dispose of Sane but with the referee's attention turned to the commotion going on on the outside, Asuka took advantage and sprayed the green mist in the face of Nikki Cross! With Cross blinded, Asuka hit swift kick to the side of the head, causing Nikki Cross to collapse to the mat. Cover! 1, 2, 3!
Winner via Pin Fall - WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Asuka!
As Asuka was announced the winner, Alexa Bliss stormed the ring to help her partner, but just when you thought it was safe, Asuka again sprays the mist, this time in the face of Alexa! As Alexa frantically moves around the ring, Kairi Sane gets into the ring and she lays Alexa out with a big right hand! The Kabuki Warriors continue to show off their new attitude as they have once again laid waste to the former Women's Tag Team Champions. Cameras fade away as Alexa and Cross receive medical attention.
We go backstage to Charly Caruso and she is standing by with Rey Mysterio! The crowd pops as Rey steps into the shot. Charly brings up Rey's match that will take place later tonight against the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar. Rey cuts her off right there and apologizes for doing so. He looks into the camera and says that tonight is not about titles or sportsmanship. Tonight is about retribution and respect. Rey says that Lesnar is going to pay for what he did to Dominick. Rey walks off and Charly sends it back to ringside.
Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins vs. The Street Profits
Ryder and Hawkins gave it their all in this one, but the debuting Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins wanted it more. The Street Profits came out victorious in this one after Dawkins hit Ryder with spinebuster and Ford followed up with a Frog Splash! 1, 2, 3!
Winners via Pin Fall - The Street Profits!
After the match, The Street Profits celebrated all the way to the back, leaving Hawkins and Ryder alone in the ring. As the long time partners got to their feet, Curt Hawkins shocked the WWE Universe as he connected with a low blow to Ryder! The fans booed Hawkins as he left the ring, leaving Zack Ryder behind.
A promo airs for the debut of The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard, Tegan Nox! The vignette shows us how Tegan has had to overcome to major knee surgeries in her young career. Once slated to win the Mae Young Classic to sitting on the sidelines. She is starving for competition and she is coming to Friday nights! Tegan Nox... Coming soon.
Cameras go backstage and The Viking Raiders are standing by. They talk about what tag team wrestling means to them and how they've won all the major tag team gold in professional wrestling except for a WWE Tag Team Championship. But tonight that changes as they prepare to take Harper and Rowan to WAR!
Randy Orton vs. Drake Maverick
Winner vRandy Orton absolutely decimated Drake Maverick in this one. But not for it's entirety. If you thought Cedric Alexander scored the biggest upset of the night, think again! As Orton showboated around the ring, Drake Maverick managed to surprise The Viper and roll him up for the 1, 2, 3!
Winner via Pin Fall - Drake Maverick!
Maverick's victory was short lived as Randy Orton immediately hit him with an RKO! Orton was irate! Randy Orton backed away and had that look in his eye that only he can have. He's setting up for the punt! The referee begs Orton not to do it, but he has gone to that dark place. Just as Orton prepares to take Drake's head off, the lights go dark and the Firefly Fun House starts up! Ramblin' Rabbit appears from the fun house and tells Randy Orton that it isn't cool to be a bully. Ramblin says that "HE" does not like bullies, and for that reason alone, Orton should be very afraid dude! Orton stares at the titantron in confusion but it's all part of "HIS" plan. The lights begin to violently flicker. Randy Orton turns around right into the Mandible Claw! The Fiend, Bray Wyatt is here! Wyatt takes Orton down to the mat with the claw firmly locked in! Orton desperately tries to get free, but Wyatt's power consumes him. Orton nearly passes out just as Bray Wyatt releases him. Orton rolls to the outside and the lights come on. Drake Maverick is just beginning to stir and realize what's going on. Bray Wyatt is standing in the center of the ring with his back to Maverick. But suddenly Wyatt drops into to the spider walk and stares straight into Maverick's soul! Drake Maverick, filled with fear, quickly exits the ring and runs away through the crowd. Bray Wyatt rises to his feet and the lights once again go dark. Wyatt's eerie laughter echoes out as SmackDown goes to commercial.
~Commercial~
We are back live as Cole and Graves recap The Fiend's attack on Randy Orton. They talk about the history and bad blood between Orton and Wyatt, and wonder if it has something to do with The Fiend targeting Orton here tonight. Cameras go backstage and Alexa Bliss is shown trying to rub the green mist off of her face. The SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley approaches her and begins to poke fun at how Bliss and Cross were once again thwarted by Asuka's mist. She also cites how the former Tag Team Champions have been on a bit of losing streak as well. Alexa sets down her towel and looks eye to eye with Bayley. She asks her if she'd be willing to put her money where her mouth his. Bayley says that she is the Women's Champion and she doesn't answer to losers. Alexa sarcastically chuckles and tells Bayley that she thinks her new attitude is cute, and that she likes it better than the whole hugging act. But a change in attitude doesn't mean a change of skill in the ring. Alexa tells Bayley to face her next week, but again Bayley tells her that she doesn't answer to her because she is THE CHAMP! Just then, Sting steps in between the two. He says that Bayley is right, she doesn't have to answer to Alexa, even if it hurts her integrity. Bayley looks taken back by Sting's comment. She goes to interrupt the SmackDown GM, but he hushes her the same way he hushed Vince McMahon earlier tonight. He tells Bayley that next week she will be facing Alexa Bliss on Friday Night SmackDown, and if she thinks Bliss is such a loser, than she will have no problem putting the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line! Bayley is at a loss of words and she storms off. Alexa Bliss has a happy looking smirk on her face as cameras fade away.
WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs. Rey Mysterio
Not many expected Rey to last long in this one but he gave it his all tonight against the reigning WWE Champion. He scored multiple 2 counts against Lesnar but he could not find away to put the champion away. The match ended in favor of Brock Lesnar after Rey hit him with the 619! As Rey went for a springboard splash, Lesnar exploded to his feet and caught Rey Mysterio with ease out of mid air! F5! 1, 2, 3!
Winner via Pin Fall - WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar!
Although the match was finished, Lesnar was not. Brock Lesnar would go on to his Rey Mysterio with five more F5s before Paul Heyman finally managed to talk his client down. Who in the world and right mind would want to challenge Brock Lesnar right now? He looks absolutely unstoppable! After Lesnar and Heyman left, medical officials tried to help Rey Mysterio to the back, but Rey insisted leaving on his own power. Rey nearly collapsed more than once on his way up the ramp, but he managed to make it to the back on his own. Zack Ryder is shown limping around backstage, Charly Caruso tries to get a word with him about Curt Hawkins shocking betrayal earlier tonight. Ryder says that he has no idea why Hawkins did what he did, but he intends to get answers. Cameras fade away.
Breaking news! We have just learned that next week on SmackDown, a #1 Contender's match will be taking place. Cedric Alexander will be going one on one with Daniel Bryan! The winner will then go on to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship the following week on Friday Night SmackDown! A promo airs for the re-debuts of Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kanellis-Bennett! The Prodigy, Mike Bennett arrives next week on SmackDown! Cameras return live to ringside and it is main event time!
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship The Viking Raiders vs. The Bludgeon Brothers
This one delivered as advertised as both teams showed each other no mercy. Multiple near falls were scored by both teams, but in the end it was Erik and Ivar who prevailed after hitting Luke Harper with The Viking Experience followed by the 1, 2, 3!
Winners via Pin Fall and NEW WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions - The Viking Raiders!
Erik and Ivar have kept good on their promise as they are the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions! Harper and Rowan try to regroup on the outside as Erik and Ivar are awarded their titles. The Viking Raiders strike their signature pose and show off their titles as SmackDown goes off the air.
~End of Show~

Monday Night Raw October 21, 2019Vic Joseph: Welcome to Monday Night Raw! I'm Vic Joseph, alongside Dio Madden and the legendary Hall of Famer, Jerry "The King" Lawler. Dio Madden: It's a new day in WWE. Raw is their own brand, their own show, with their own rosters and champions. Jerry Lawler: I remember back in the mid-2000s calling Raw matches and we had our own roster. It was the best time of my life, and I can't wait to see what's next!
Becky Lynch's music hits and the Raw Women's Champion begins the show!
Becky Lynch: Ya couldn't get rid of me, could ya? Smart choice, USA. I was drafted to SmackDown fourth overall and the next morning my agent is calling about a trade. Looks like I'm good for the price of two. So what does that mean for the Raw Women's Champion on Monday Night Raw? I'll tell ya what! I am going to make SmackDown wish they never traded me! And I will be assuring Raw it was the right choice. What you've seen from 'The Man' is just the beginning. And I-
Charlotte Flair's music hits and interrupts the champion, before stepping into the ring.
Charlotte Flair: Becky, hate to break it to you, but you're not as valuable as you think you are. See, you were drafted fourth overall to SmackDown, but 'The Queen' was drafted right above you. With you on the board, Raw said I was the best talent on the board and the best woman in WWE. Raw said I was better than their paper champion.
Lynch: Paper champion? I'm no paper champion. As a matter of fact, I won this belt by beating you and Ronda Rousey in the main event at WrestleMania. So if I'm a paper champion, you're a plastic Barbie doll.
Flair: Becky, I am a ten-time champion. I know what it is like to be so self-centered and egotistical like you are. You're in your own little bubble, and I empathize with that. But just so you're aware, I came out to burst your bubble and become an eleven-time Women's Champion.
Stephanie McMahon comes to the rescue and only goes as far as the stage.
Stephanie McMahon: Ladies, there's no need to go back and forth. The USA Network drafted you, Charlotte Flair, because they want you. Becky, they traded not one but two of the top women in our sport, because they want you. Now I need to come to that ring and announce the new General Manager over Monday Night Raw, as appointed by the USA Network officials. But as a McMahon, I still have the power to do whatever I see fit. And I'm sure this new General Manager won't mind if I make the main event for tonight's show. Charlotte, you'll go one-on-one with Becky Lynch tonight!
Stephanie McMahon heads back down to the ring. A commercial break allows Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to get to the backstage area.
McMahon: Now as I mentioned prior to the commercial break, the USA Network has appointed a General Manager to oversee Monday Night Raw. I have the distinct privilege of introducing them in their new role. So give it up for...
GLASS SHATTERS! It's Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold! After Stone Cold makes his big return as the new General Manager for Raw, already drinking on the job with a couple of beers, he stands face-to-face with Stephanie.
Stone Cold Steve Austin: Why are you stealing my thunder?
McMahon: Your thunder?
Austin: Yeah, what's up with that? (what) You call me out to introduce me like I'm a nobody? (what) Like these fans don't know who Stone Cold Steve Austin is? (what) And my first night on the job, you make a match? (what) What?! (what)
McMahon: Steve, I'm still a McMahon. I can do whatever I want.
Austin: And I can do whatever the hell I want! And as a matter of fact, that main event you just made, I'm fixing it. It's now going to be for the Raw Women's Championship. Now, why don't you take your heels off and run outta this ring before Stone Cold starts morphing your daddy's face onto yours and it goes south for you.
Stephanie McMahon is appalled and steps out of the ring, leaving it to the new Raw General Manager.
Austin: Now that ho-bag is taken care of, let's get down to business. USA wanted me to come in and keep Raw afloat. Raw and SmackDown had a draft last week and there's no doubt about it, we have a WAR on our hands! And Stone Cold knows a thing or two about wars. Whether it was fighting on Monday Nights against The Undertaker or Triple H or The Rock, or fighting against WCW, I know what it takes to be in a war. And if SmackDown wants to wage in this war, Raw is gonna stomp a mudhole in their asses! So with that said, a huge show is on for tonight. We got the Raw Women's Championship on the line as 'The Man' Becky Lynch goes against 'The Queen' Charlotte Flair. We also have some vacant tag team championships. The Raw Tag Team Championship tournament begins tonight! I love the roster USA blessed us with and y'all wil-
Stone Cold is interrupted by the OC, who make their way to the ring as the United States Champion has a microphone in his hands.
AJ Styles: Look Austin, that's all fine and dandy. But the United States Champion is not in the mood to stand here and hear another Attitude Era dude ramble on about his glory days in the Monday Night War. Maybe it was cool to let the guys of past generations like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage come and steal your glory, but not today. There's a reason Raw didn't draft Brock Lesnar with the number one pick. They drafted the OC! They could've drafted anyone else, but it was us. Why? Because we are not D-Generation X, we are not the nWo, we are the only Club that matters! So how about you listen to the suits that got you this job, put your boy AJ Styles in a match against Seth Rollins tonight, and put that Universal Championship on the line so it can belong to the biggest draw on Monday Night Raw!
Austin: Are you dumb son? Is he dumb? Are all of y'all dumb or something? AJ, I've watched you in this ring and you can do phenomenal things. But rest assured, you're the dumbest son of a ***** I've encountered today, and that's saying something after a McMahon was here just a moment ago. If you want a title match so bad, you can have it right now... but it's for the United States Championship against Aleister Black!
Stone Cold Steve Austin exits the ring for Aleister Black to rise up and head to the ring for his opportunity to gain gold in WWE.
AJ Styles(c) w/The OC vs. Aleister Black United States Championship Styles and Black are fighting back and forth the entire match. Towards the end, Black has countered a Phenomenal Forearm with a sensational dropkick and only got a 2-count, but used this to get the offensive sway of things. Black begins throwing various strikes and then hits a middle-rope moonsault on the champion. Black sets up for Black Mass, but Anderson gets up on the apron and Black charges at him, but Anderson drops. Black then turns around and sees Gallows on the other end. Black bypasses the ref and hits a running knee strike on the big Gallows, knocking him to the floor. Black turns around and gets hit with a Pele Kick before being hit with the Styles Clash. Winner and still United States Champion: AJ Styles
Advertised for later tonight is the Raw Women's Championship match and an episode of MizTV.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton welcomes her guests Ricochet and Mustafa Ali. Braxton recognizes Ricochet and Ali in the tag team tournament, yet they don't have the experience as a tag team. Ricochet says he and Aleister Black were teammates when he arrived on the scene, so he knows how to handle a new tag team with stiff competition. Mustafa Ali said he is fully prepared to become the next Raw Tag Team Champions and he's grateful for a partner like Ricochet.
Lucha House Party w/Gran Metalik vs. The Revival Tag Team Tournament Round 1 The Revival coming from SmackDown were stripped of the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Before the match, The Revival voiced their concerns about having to vacate the titles rather than being handed their rightfully deserved Raw Tag Team Championships but made it a point to win the tournament. Lucha House Party's firing on all cylinders tonight and made it difficult for The Revival, but The Revival's able to slow things down and target the ankle of Lince Dorado. Once Dorado makes a tag, Kalisto comes back hot, but after a few moments, The Revival hit a Shatter Machine out of nowhere on Kalisto to win the match. Winners and advancing in the tournament: The Revival
Carmella speaks with Mike Rome backstage about her being split up from best friend R-Truth. Carmella says she will miss R-Truth, but she's excited about the opportunity presented to her on Monday Night Raw. Mike Rome wished Carmella the best of luck in her match later tonight against Dana Brooke.
Chad Gable vs. Jinder Mahal Chad Gable came to the ring and spoke of his shortcomings in the King of the Ring tournament against Baron Corbin, but says Raw is a fresh start and aims to become world champion one day. Jinder Mahal responds by reminding Gable he is a former WWE Champion and Gable will never be anywhere near the title picture. They then locked horns for their match and it was Mahal bullying Gable the entire match. Mahal went for the Khallas, but Gable rolled under and pinned the Modern Day Maharaja before escaping quickly! Winner: Chad Gable
After a commercial, the ring is set up for MizTV.
The Miz: Welcome to the most must-see talk show in WWE, welcome to... MizTV! Tonight has been crazy thus far! We've had a United States Championship match, the tag team tournament is underway, Chad Gable picked up a big victory, and Stone Cold Steve Austin is back on Raw! Honestly, Raw is poppin'! But this is the climax of the show. And I understand we have a Raw Women's Championship match to come, but MizTV is the best thing on Monday nights. So my guest tonight happens to be the 5th overall selection in the WWE Draft. This guest happens to be the Kingslayer. This guest happens to be the Beast Slayer. This guest happens to be the reigning and defending Universal Champion Seth Rollins!
Rollins makes his way to the ring, dressed up in black, with the Universal Championship across his shoulder.
Miz: Welcome to MizTV!
Seth Rollins: It's a pleasure, Miz. It's always a great time.
Miz: So let's not waste your time or mine. You were taken before 'The Beast Incarnate' WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. How does it make you feel that the USA Network and Raw prioritized you as world champion over Brock Lesnar?
Rollins: I can't say I wasn't a little surprised, to be honest with you. Brock Lesnar is a box office attraction. He's the WWE Champion. He conquered The Streak at WrestleMania. But with all that said, he is no Seth Rollins. The same guy holding the Universal Championship is the same guy who beat Brock Lesnar for the title at this year's WrestleMania. I'm here every week. Brock, he's just not. If Lesnar loses the title, SmackDown may never see him again. And then what? But I'm here every week, no matter the circumstances, and I fight whenever my name is on the card.
Miz: You've definitely resembled a fighting champion. Now while you were picked before Brock Lesnar, you weren't the first pick. The OC was bragging about being picked first overall in the Draft. While you also have Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and a man you're familiar with, Bray Wyatt, they were all picked ahead of you. How does that make you feel?
Rollins: I'm not bothered at all. I'm quite familiar with Bray, yes. He's an unstoppable force man. As for Charlotte and Becky, they are two of the top women in the world and they're gonna put on a helluva main event later tonight. But as far as the OC, that came as a shock to me. Of all the talent WWE has to offer and with all due respect to the USA officials, they're not worthy of a top ten pick, let alone the first overall. Did you see AJ Styles earlier tonight? He couldn't beat Aleister Black without the help of Gallows and Anderson. That tells me something.
Miz: Aleister Black is no slouch.
Rollins: Of course not, but I don't need two guys watching my back. I can't help but think if AJ didn't have the OC, then would he be United States Champion?
At this moment, the OC's music hit and AJ Styles returned with Gallows and Anderson by his side.
The Miz: Welcome to th-
AJ Styles: Seth, are you hearing yourself? Two guys watching your back? Did The Fiend hit you too hard that you lost all memory? What about The Shield? Those two carried you, those two were much more talented than you, and much better in the ring than you were. There is no Seth Rollins without The Shield, there's only Tyler Black in bingo halls. And as far as getting where I am, I had a historic reign as WWE Champion all by myself. Your first championship reign was a fluke because you had The Authority watching your back and covering your tracks. So you, of all people, are the last who should be talking. At the end of the day, you don't know me and you don't know the OC.
Karl Anderson: And Seth, we didn't help AJ Styles beat Aleister Black tonight. We never laid a finger on his demented head. But give this man some credit. He beat a demon-possessed man and didn't even need a referee to stop the match to save his soul.
Styles: Look Seth, I came out here earlier and asked our new General Manager about a match. I want a match with you for that title right there. All you have to do is accept the match. What do ya say, fighting champion?
As the Universal Champion ponders, The New Day's music hits and AJ Styles has a fit. The New Day get inside the ring.
The Miz: This is what I'm talking about! MizTV is the climax of Monday Night Raw!
Big E: Thanks, Miz. But boys, it's a NEW DAY in WWE! We had the Draft and everyone in this ring right now are exclusive to Monday Night Raw.
Kofi Kingston: AJ, me and my boys couldn't stand back there and listen to you whine and complain about not getting what you wanted earlier from Stone Cold. I'm not sure why you resort to such to try and get what you want, but it clearly didn't work. So why keep trying?
Rollins: He's right, it didn't work.
Kingston: Now Seth, E is onto something. It's a 'New Day' in WWE and on Raw. If we want to throw around accolades, I was just WWE Champion. I'm at the top of my game. And I did all of this on my own. Big E and Woods allowed me to realize my dreams untainted and undefiled. Miz, you wanted a big MizTV, you got it. Seth, I'm not demanding you accept a title match here on the spot but I want you to know... My dream isn't over yet. I'm coming for the Universal Championship.
Kingston and Rollins lock eyes as the crowd roars.
Styles: Hold up! Kofi, if anyone is next in line, it is ME!
Xavier Woods: As a matter of fact, AJ, if we're talking about next in line it's your boys, The New Day! Looking at the brackets earlier this afternoon, it appears the first round has The New Day versus The OC. And if anyone's got next, The New Day has it as the next Raw Tag Team Champions.
At this moment, Gallows and Anderson jump Woods and Big E, followed by Styles jumping Kofi Kingston. Seth Rollins and The Miz assist The New Day, allowing the OC to retreat on 5-on-3 numbers. Stone Cold then pops out from the back.
Stone Cold Steve Austin: It appears y'all aren't going to wait for next week, huh? Let's get the ring cleared and have ourselves a tag team match!
The New Day w/Kofi Kingston vs. The OC w/AJ Styles Tag Team Tournament Round 1 A commercial break allows the ring to be cleared and Seth Rollins to set up on commentary with Joseph, Lawler, and Madden. The New Day and The OC are back and forth for a chance to advance in the tournament. The match begins to break down towards the end, which means AJ Styles tries getting involved multiple times. Kofi has the last straw and goes around to take AJ Styles out and the two brawl, this until AJ finishes Kofi off by pushing his shoulder into the steel steps and hitting a Fireman's Carry drop, instead of on the knee, onto the steel steps. AJ Styles sees Anderson in trouble so he tries handing the United States Championship off, but Styles is turned around and Black Mass connects... it's Aleister Black! Anderson gets to his feet, in awe of what happened, as he then gets squashed into the corner by Big E and Anderson is nailed with Midnight Hour for a big win. Winners and advancing in the tournament: The New Day
Announced for tonight are the remaining two first-round matchups in the tag team tournament: Heavy Machinery versus Mustafa Ali and Ricochet, in addition to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler battling AOP.
Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch is standing by warming up when Fire & Desire head up to her. Rose and Deville mock the Women's Champion, wishing her the best of luck tonight against Charlotte Flair. They laugh with the idea of Raw trading for Lynch only to lose the title her first defense. Lynch warns Rose and Deville to watch their mouths before she puts them in their place. Mandy Rose suggests she focuses on Charlotte tonight and they can deal with her next week... if she's still champion.
AOP vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode Tag Team Tournament Round 1 This match takes less than 3 minutes as AOP dominates Ziggler and Roode like nothing we've ever seen before from AOP. Akam and Rezar finish things off with The Last Chapter that followed SuperCollider. Winners and advancing in the tournament: AOP
Kevin Owens is standing by with Mike Rome as Rome asks about KO's plans on Monday Night Raw. Kevin Owens admits he's had success wherever he's been, in NXT, SmackDown, and on Raw. Owens reminisced about his Universal Championship reign a few years back and admits the ultimate goal is to reach the top once more. Owens said he's been a Prizefighter all his life and that hasn't changed.
Carmella vs. Dana Brooke Dana Brooke impressed with several moves, and it appears she was getting the best of Carmella, but Carmella caught Dana Brooke in a mistake and finished her off with Code of Silence as Dana had no other choice but to tap. Winner: Carmella
Breaking news was released from the office of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Raw's new General Manager. Next week, AJ Styles will battle Kofi Kingston to determine the #1 contender for the Universal Championship. Both The New Day and The OC will be barred from ringside.
Kayla Braxton interviews Kofi Kingston, along with The New Day, about the news just released by Stone Cold. Kingston says he is more than ready to fight AJ Styles and prove his worth of being #1 contender. Kingston says that's all he wanted, while AJ wanted a shortcut and he's looking forward to showing Styles there are no shortcuts when it comes to Monday Night Raw. Xavier Woods chimes in as it is the second lesson because of The New Day defeating The OC to advance in the tournament earlier tonight.
Heavy Machinery vs. Mustafa Ali & Ricochet Tag Team Tournament Round 1 Ali and Ricochet were displaying lots of athleticism that Heavy Machinery tried their best to match. By playing their opponents' game, Heavy Machinery was taken advantage of. Ali and Ricochet gelled together well and once they got Tucker on the mat, Ali hit a 054 followed by Ricochet popping up and hitting his 630 Senton. The two most devastating aerial attacks in WWE, back-to-back, and Ricochet and Ali advance! Winners and advancing in the tournament: Mustafa Ali & Ricochet
The updated brackets are announced. AOP will battle Mustafa Ali & Ricochet in the next round and The Revival take on The New Day in the semifinals.
The OC is standing by with Mike Rome, as Rome asks AJ Styles about his opportunity next week. Styles said it took him all night to get somewhere and Stone Cold finally came to his senses. AJ Styles admits Stone Cold is a little out of touch with today's product but made a decent decision. Styles says he wishes he could've been inserted into the championship match but will take what he can get. Styles warned Kingston that he won't beat him in 9 seconds and make it quick and painless. Styles says he aims to make Kofi suffer for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. When asked to comment on Aleister Black, Styles declined to comment.
Becky Lynch(c) vs. Charlotte Flair Raw Women's Championship Match Becky and Charlotte were intense from the get-go as Monday Night Raw draws to a close. A lot of stiff shots, vicious elbows, and agonizing submission holds, yet neither the Figure Eight or Dis-arm-her. Towards the end, Becky tried getting the Dis-arm-her in but Charlotte crawled outside the ring before she could secure the arm fully. Charlotte rested on the outside as Becky then tried a crossbody over the top rope, but Charlotte caught her and hit a fallaway slam into the barricade. Charlotte got up to the top turnbuckle and hit a corkscrew moonsault to the outside. Charlotte got Becky back in the ring and tried locking in the Figure Eight, but got pushed into the corner. As Charlotte came back, Becky caught her in the Dis-arm-her in the center of the ring! Becky extended the arm, but Becky's attacked out of the camera's shot! The official calls for the bell.
The camera catches a glimpse and it's Fire & Desire stomping away at the Raw Women's Champion. Deville then turns her attention to Charlotte Flair as both are being assaulted by the duo. Deville would pick Charlotte up and throw her shoulder-first into the corner as Charlotte drops to the floor. Deville then signals for Rose to pick the champion up for her, and as Rose pushes Lynch forward, Lynch catches a back fist that knocks her out. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are receiving a massive amount of boos as they soak it in to end Monday Night Raw's title match indecisive.
