Cowboys QB Tony Romo suffered a fractured vertebrate this week in preseason, and will miss an extended amount of time, likely through midseason, if he ever returns.
Dallas will turn over to Dak Prescott, a fourth round rookie that has been lights out in the preseason.

Well you're a Cowboys fan. If Dak plays well into the regular season, do we even see Romo this season?

Well you're a Cowboys fan. If Dak plays well into the regular season, do we even see Romo this season? If Romo is 100%, I think that's the number one concern, then yeah, we'll see Romo. If Prescott is playing lights out and we're winning games, we won't bring Romo back until he's completely healthy. Ian Rapoport said Romo would be looking at an epidermal if he wants to play any this season. I'm sad that Romo is hurt now, especially since this raises concern if he'll ever play a full season in the NFL again, or even just a game. It'd be a shame knowing how much he put into the Cowboys franchise, not having the weapons around him (particularly defensive support), and he wouldn't have a Super Bowl to his credit, something he deserves. On a lighter note, 2016 was in the gutter anyway, and the Jaylon Smith pick proved Dallas was all in for 2017 already. So in 2016, Dallas will see what we have in Dak Prescott when defenses are gameplanning against him and his abilities. We'll see if Prescott can withstand an 8 or 16 game season and the brutality that comes with the NFL. If things go haywire, we'll have a top pick in next year's draft.
