Raw Preview
Survivor Series has come and gone, but it's aftermath has sent the stars of Monday Night Raw down a path they didn't expect. Raw General Manager sent out the following tweet, which is leading to rumors that there could be some form of punishment for Raw's losing teams.
@ RealMickFoley: The mission we gave was clear and unfortunately failure was not an option.
Rumors are also flying that after Goldberg completely dismantled the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, Raw Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon offered Goldberg a chance to come back full time as a member of the Raw roster. What will Goldberg's decision be!?
The Raw women's team may have defeated Smackdown Live, but the post match attack by the Raw Women's Champion is the talk of the town. Charlotte brutally attacked Bayley without warning. What kind of state will Bayley be in?
All of this and more! Coming your way on Monday Night Raw!

Monday Night Raw
WWE: Then... Now... Forever
A highlight video of Survivor Series opens the show and the video ends with Goldberg standing tall over Brock Lesnar. Now comes the ultimate question, does Goldberg still have what it takes to be a champion? Find out tonight as Goldberg chooses to retire on top or become a Raw superstar and begin a new quest. The video fades into Raw's opening intro.
Raw opens up with the entire Raw roster standing on the apron. Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley are in the ring. Stephanie says that she wish she could welcome everyone to an exciting night that is Monday Night Raw, but she ultimately cannot because of the results at last night's Survivor Series PPV. Stephanie tells the main event team from Team Raw to step into the ring. Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, & Braun Strowman enter the ring. Mick Foley speaks up and says that last night was supposed to be the night that solidified Raw as the top brand in the WWE, but the team failed to live up to their expectations. Stephanie interrupts Mick and says that there was one man who showed promise. She says that man was Braun Strowman. Stephanie says that he was cheated out of the match when that little troll, James Ellsworth got involved. She excuses Braun from the ring and allows him to go. Braun leaves the ring and heads to the back without looking back while everyone else looks on. Mick says that the rest of the team must be reprimanded. Mick Foley announces that in tonight's main event, the Universal Champion, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho will face the United States Champion, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. But that's not all. Whichever team wins tonight, that winning team will go on to WWE Roadblock to face off against each other with a title on the line! So that means if Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho wins, then the Universal title will be on the line, and if Rollins and Reigns wins, the United States Championship will be on the line. The crowd loves the idea but the two title holders, especially Kevin Owens, does not. Stephanie tells the four to head to the back. As they leave, Mick tells the women's team to get in the ring. Charlotte, Sasha, Alicia, and Nia step into the ring, Bayley is not there. Mick says that everyone is probably wondering where Bayley is. She's not here tonight because of Charlotte's post match attack. Stephanie says that the Raw women's team stuck it out and won, but they were supposed to remain a team last night and show the world that Raw was one! Mick says that he and Stephanie came to a conclusion and that because of Charlotte's actions towards Bayley after the match, Charlotte must defend the Raw Women's Championship against a mystery opponent, and if Charlotte successfully defends the title tonight, then she must defend it again next week on Raw against another mystery opponent! The fans go nuts as Charlotte looks on with her jaw dropped. Stephanie tells the women's team to leave the ring. Dana Brooke has to enter the ring and get Charlotte as she is still furious at the management's decision. Stephanie says that the 10 man tag team match didn't go as planned, but she excuses them from entering the ring because they fought to their fullest without their team captains. She then gives a hard look at the New Day. She says that they're the Raw Tag Team Champions, and then she asks how the New Day is supposed to represent Raw. She says that they should be embarrassed for being eliminated so quickly. Stephanie announces that each member of the New Day will be placed in one on two handicapped matches tonight, with two members being banned from ringside each match. Mick Foley then calls Sami Zayn out. He says that Sami had one of the most important jobs last night. He was to bring the Intercontinental Championship to where it belongs! But he too failed. Foley announces that Sami Zayn is to stay in the ring, because he has a match that is next! Stephanie and Mick leave as do the rest of the roster. Sami waits in the ring to find out his opponent as Raw takes a commercial break.

Sami Zayn vs. Rusev w/ Lana
Raw is back live and Sami Zayn is awaiting his fate as Rusev makes his way to the ring. The bell sounds and we're underway! Rusev goes right after Sami but Sami uses his agility to evade Rusev. Sami gets behind him and jumps on the Bulgarian Brute's back and locks in a sleeper hold. But Rusev runs backwards and smashes Sami right into the corner! Rusev yanks him from the corner and into a bear hug. Sami struggles to get free but Rusev keeps the pressure of the hold locked. Sami tries to punch his way out, nailing Rusev with shot after shot. But Rusev keeps the hold locked in! Sami with one last move of desperation hits a headbutt! Rusev is knocked dazed and he drops Sami. Sami falls to the mat and gets up to a knee. Rusev is already back on the attack but Sami rolls past him. Rusev turns around and Sami explodes up into a drop kick and takes the big man down! Rusev staggers to his feet and before he even realizes it, Sami Zayn runs full speed ahead at him! Zayn with a cross body and both men are taken over the top rope and to the outside! Sami Zayn gets to his feet and he is fired up as are the fans. Lana looks worried as Zayn gets back into the ring. He stands ready as Rusev struggles to pull himself up. Zayn thrusts himself over the ropes and hits a senton on Rusev! As Sami goes to get Rusev up and into the ring, Lana runs over and gets in Sami's way. Zayn yells at her to move but she isn't listening. Rusev then shoves his wife out of the way and nails a super kick on Sami! The fans boo as Lana is thrown to the floor and Rusev stands over Sami. At first Lana doesn't look too pleased at being thrown to the floor by Rusev but she forgives him as he helps her up. As Sami tries getting up, Rusev runs at him and scoops him up around the kneed and runs Sami back first into the steel of the turnbuckle. He keeps Sami in his grasps and does it once more! Rusev puts Sami back into the ring and he makes a cover. 1, 2, kick out! Lana motions for Rusev to finish Sami off. Rusev stomps right down on Sami's spine and he proceeds to lock in the Accolade! Sami yells out in pain as his back is already injured from the turnbuckle strikes earlier in the match. He has no choice but to tap out.
Winner by Submission: Rusev!
Rusev is announced the winner but he refuses to release the Accolade! The referee tries to pry Rusev away but he can't even budge him. Rusev is dead set on injuring Sami Zayn. More officials rush the ring and Rusev let's go of the Accolade himself before the officials attempt to. Sami Zayn is out cold. Rusev exits the ring and he and Lana leave as Sami is checked on.
Cameras go backstage with Stephanie and Mick watching what just transpired. Stephanie says that Sami got exactly what he deserved. Mick disagrees and says that Rusev holding onto the Accolade was uncalled for. Stephanie says that what's done is done. She asks if Charlotte's opponent is all ready to go tonight. Mick smiles and nods and says that she is ready for her chance in the spotlight. Cameras fade away and it is announced that Xavier Woods of the New Day will be the first to compete in the two on one match. It's Woods taking on the Shining Stars next!
~Commercial~
Raw is back live with Charly Caruso standing by. She is joined by two very special guests, the Raw Women's Champion, Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Charly goes to ask Charlotte on how she feels about having to defend the title against a surprise opponent later tonight. Dana Brooke speaks up and tells Charly not to address the champion in such a tone. Charly is puzzled as she says she asked Charlotte a simple question. She says that she's doing her job. Dana tells Charly that she's terrible at it. Charlotte smiles and tells Dana to calm down and that's enough. She says that now that she has had time to think, she'll happily answer the question. Charlotte says that the women's team for Raw was victorious because of one reason and one reason only, and that was because of Charlotte herself. She says that Bayley and the rest of Team Raw only held her back. Charlotte says that she went into Survior Series with a mission, and that mission was to show why Raw is the best brand in the WWE. She wasn't there to be a "hugger." Charly brings up that Bayley had a stand out performance at Survivor Series as well. Charlotte laughs and asks where Bayley is now. But before Charly can say anything, Dana speaks up and says that Bayley is at home with an ice pack over her face. Charlotte says that the Commissioner and General Manager can throw whatever they like at her, because the end result will always be the same. Charlotte holding the Women's Championship high. Charlotte motions to Dana and they leave. Cameras fade away.
Raw Tag Team Champion, Xavier Woods vs. the Shining Stars
Xavier Woods is on his way out to the ring and the Shining Stars are already in the ring waiting for him. Woods looks un-phased by the challenge in front of him as he acts like his usual self. The bell sounds. Primo starts things off for the Shining Stars. Woods and Primo lock up. Primo slides Woods into a side headlock, but Woods manages to shove Primo away and to the ropes. Primo runs off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Woods ducks. Primo bounces off the ropes again and this time Woods slides through his legs. Woods rolls him up! 1, 2, kick out! Primo spins to his feet and makes sure he wasn't pinned for the 3. Woods grabs Primo and he throws him to the corner. Xavier Woods with a running splash on Primo! Epico tries to get involved but Woods throws Epico to the corner opposite of Primo. Xavier Woods has the Shining Stars right where he wants them. Woods with a splash on Epico! Another splash to Primo! But as Woods goes for another on Epico, Epico manages to move from the corner. Woods catches himself and lands on the middle rope. He boots Epico away but Primo comes running from across the ring and he shoves Woods off the ropes and to the outside! Can Xavier Woods get back in it? Raw will be right back!
~Commercial~
Back live and the Shining Stars are just having their way with Xavier Woods. Epico is now legal as Primo holds Woods up and Epico delivers a couple of cheap shots. Primo gets back on the apron and Epico makes a cover. 1, 2, kick out! We get a replay of some of the action from during the commercial break. Primo and Epico would deliver a double suplex that resulted in a near fall. Back to the live action, Epico locks in a submission move but Woods is able to get to his feet and elbow his way out of it. Woods with a tornado DDT! Both men are down. The fans chant for Woods to get up as Epico begins crawling to Primo. Woods manages to get up and he runs and knocks Primo off the apron. But with his back turned, Epico rolls up Woods and pulls on the tights! 1, 2, kick out! Epico can't believe Woods got out of it. As Epico turns around he finds Woods bouncing off the ropes! Shining Wizard by Xavier Woods! Cover! 1, 2, and Primo breaks it up! Primo helps Epico up and as Woods gets to a knee, the Shining Stars nail a double super kick on Woods! Epico hooks the leg! 1, 2, 3!
Winners by Pin Fall: the Shining Stars!
The Shining Stars celebrate their victory as Woods tries to recover. We get replays of the finish. Cameras fade away. Still to come tonight, the Universal Champion, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho take on the United States Champion, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins! Which team will go on to Roadblock to face each other? And what will Goldberg's decision be? Will he retire or join Monday Night Raw!?
Nia Jax vs. Santana Garrett
Santana Garrett, a respected independent scene competitor is already in the ring. Nia Jax's theme hits and she makes her way to the ring. The bell sounds. Garrett goes right after Jax and she pounds away. But Jax shows no effects. Garrett looks surprised and she hits the ropes. Santana Garrett with a shoulder tackle! But Nia Jax doesn't even budge. Santana goes to the ropes again and this time lunges at Jax with a cross body. But Nia Jax catches her in mid air! Jax with a rib breaker across the knee. She keeps Garrett in the air and slams her against her knee a second time, and then a third! Garrett writhes in pain and the referee steps in to check on her. But Nia allows no room for breathing. She grabs Garrett and drags her to the center of the ring! Nia with a leg drop! And another! And finally a third! Garrett is motionless as Nia Jax puts her foot on her chest. 1, 2, 3!
Winner by Pin Fall: Nia Jax!
Nia Jax is announced the winner but she isn't finished! Jax hits a fourth leg drop! The fans boo as Nia stands tall. An all too familiar theme hits! It's Mickie James! Mickie James is here on Raw! Mickie storms to the ring and she goes right after Nia! Mickie with strike after strike to the head. Nia goes for a big clothesline but Mickie ducks and as Nia turns around Mickie nails her with the Mick Kick! Nia stumbles and falls through the ropes to the outside! Mickie James challenges Nia to get back in the ring but she refuses. Mickie takes a mic and says that Goldberg isn't the only one signing a WWE contract tonight. Mickie announces that she is back and competing on Raw! The fans go absolutely wild. Mickie says that it's time Nia Jax be taught a lesson and she's going to be her teacher. The crowd gets behind Mickie as she mic drops and her theme hits. She stands tall in the ring as Nia looks on from the stage with a smirk on her face.
Mick and Stephanie are backstage watching. They pound fists and both agree that it was a smart move to bring Mickie James back to where she belongs. There's a knock at their office door and Mick announces that it's open. It's the Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. Owens says that the tag match tonight is totally unacceptable. He says that even though he knows he and Jericho can easily beat Rollins and Reigns, he says that he doesn't want to embarrass his tag team partner at Roadblock. He goes on to continue but Stephanie interrupts him. She asks if Owens really said that he'd embarrass Chris Jericho if they went one on one. Owens says yes but that's not the point. He tries to say something again and this time Mick cuts him off. Foley says that Owens had better hope Jericho doesn't hear this conversation. Owens looks fed and tells the management team they'll regret messing with him. He leaves, slamming the door behind him.
Coming up next, Kofi Kingston takes on the Golden Truth!
~Commercial~

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson jump them from behind! Gallows and Anderson take both R-Truth and Goldust out with the Magic Killer! The Club takes a mic and Anderson speaks up saying that they are done playing games in the Raw Tag Division. Gallows then says that if management really wants to punish the New Day for being eliminated so quickly at Survivor Series, then book them in a match with the Club with the titles on the line! Anderson says that they won't stop until they get what's rightfully there's. Their theme hits and the Club stands tall as cameras fade away.
No Contest
Sheamus is standing backstage when Cesaro approaches him. Sheamus asks him what the hell he wants. Cesaro smiles and says that he's not here for war. Cesaro says that their off relationship as a team has really cost them as of late. He says it cost them the Tag Team titles and it almost cost them last night at Survivor Series. Cesaro says that enough has to be enough because when they are on the same page, they're unstoppable with unlimited potential. Sheamus tells Cesaro that he has a point but there is another point to be made. And that point is that he just doesn't like Cesaro. Cesaro sarcastically laughs and tells Sheamus that his selfish attitude is why his career isn't like it use to be. Cesaro tells Sheamus that if he didn't carry such a cocky attitude after winning the WWE Championship at Summer Slam last year, then maybe, just maybe, he'd still have the title around his waist. Sheamus tells Cesaro that he's sick of hearing his crap. Cesaro says that if Sheamus is so sick of it, then maybe they can finish what they started before they tried forming a team. The two superstars stare each down nose to nose. Sheamus says one word before walking off. "Let's..."
Raw Women's Champion, Charlotte makes her way out with Dana Brooke at her side. Charlotte said earlier tonight that she doesn't care who Stephanie and Mick Foley throw at her, she'll beat them. But Reigns comes right back with an uppercut and he drops Jericho. Roman makes the tag to Seth Rollins. Rollins climbs to the top rope and as Jericho gets to his feet, Rollins leaps! Flying cross body! Hook of the leg! 1, 2, and Owens breaks it up with a stomp to Rollins! Owens then runs right at Reigns and he knocks him off of the apron. He hits Reigns so hard, it causes Reigns to hit the security wall! The referee threatens to DQ Owens if he doesn't go back to his corner. Owens smiles and complies knowing that the dirty work is done. Jericho makes it to his feet and tags in Owens. And as Seth Rollins is getting up, Kevin Owens hits a running knee right to the gut. Reigns and Rollins have a stare down with each other as they realize what is ahead of them. Rollins extends his hand and Reigns looks down at it for a moment but he ultimately shakes. They nod at each other and Roman Reigns holds up his title. They leave as Kevin Owens is recovering. Jericho gets in the ring to check on him and as he is helping Owens to his feet, Owens shocks the world and low blows Jericho! The fans boo as Owens absolutely snaps. He begins beating Jericho down. He delivers shot after shot to the head and Jericho is gashed on the forehead. Owens screams at Jericho that he is nothing but a weak link and he's holding him back. Kevin Owens grabs his title and he stalks Jericho. As Jericho tries getting up, Owens floors him with the Universal Championship! Jericho is a bloody mess as Kevin Owens looks irate. Raw goes to commercial as Owens leaves and Jericho received medical attention.

Stephanie says that they shouldn't waste anytime and they should get right down to business. Mick Foley lays the contract on a formal table that's set up in the ring. Goldberg goes to sign but he stops. He says that he has a few things to say first before he officially signs a contract. Goldberg says that last night at Survivor Series was surreal. He says that competing in front of his son and family was better than winning any match or title. And he wants to thank WWE for that opportunity. The crowd applauds as do Stephanie and Mick. Goldberg says that he was estactic when he was told by management that they think he still has it and can be the WWE's difference maker. He tells Stephanie and Mick that he's ready to sign but not with Raw. Just then, Shane McMahon's theme hits and Stephanie looks appalled as Shane and Daniel Bryan come out! The Smackdown management team gets a huge reaction as they make their way to the ring. Stephanie and Foley can't believe their eyes as Goldberg looks at them with a smirk. He tells her that maybe Mick Foley should be the Commissioner as he thinks everything is getting to Stephanie's head. Shane and Daniel welcome Goldberg to Smackdown and Goldberg's theme hits. Goldberg celebrates in the ring as Stephanie and Mick Foley are still in shock. Raw goes off the air as Goldberg poses on the top rope.

Goldberg signed with SmackDown Live? Wooooow!! That was definitely the shocker of the night. I thought Lesnar would've came out and F5ed Goldberg or something, but daaaaang! Goldberg's going to SmackDown Live and that creates opportunities to wrestle some of the best, so I'll be looking forward to what feud you have aligned for Goldberg. But more importantly, coming out of Survivor Series, you kept the Raw/SmackDown brand supremacy going. It's very unique, and I've never seen WWE (in real life) do that, nor have I thought of doing it. Very special! Reigns/Rollins for the United States Championship at Roadblock will be more than interesting. I wonder if you're trying to turn one of them heel... Reigns, maybe?? Second shocker of the night was Kevin Owens turning on Chris Jericho at this point. I'm shocked you'd do it this early, and at that moment. I guess both tag teams are facing each other for championships at Roadblock now, huh? Something tells me we have a Sami Zayn and Rusev rivalry on the horizons... Yay! I don't understand Aliyah wrestling Charlotte... I just don't, and I just can't. I wonder if there's a legit challenger next week, or in better words, I hope. I don't get why Aliyah got to wrestle Charlotte. Cesaro versus Sheamus in a Loser Leaves Raw match. Dang! I knew the other would be picked up by SmackDown, but I would've handled it a bit differently. I wouldn't have mentioned Cesaro/Sheamus coming to SmackDown until they've actually lost the match and just appear out of nowhere at SmackDown Live. That's just me, maybe, but it's another angle to approach it. Don't know who will win that, but my bet would be on Sheamus. Nia Jax versus Mickie James? I would've personally added the veteran presence to SmackDown Live, but I like the matchup! I think Mickie and Nia would own it on any wrestling show. And with your writing style, I'm sure it won't disappoint! Looking forward to SmackDown. You followed Survivor Series very, VERY well, and I think you'll do the same with SmackDown Live for your next show. I'd rate that Raw, on a scale of 1-10, probably a 9. The only thing I can't fathom is Aliyah lol. If it wasn't for that, it would've been a perfect 10.

Well allow me to explain Aliyah making an appearance on Raw. Charlotte is getting surprise opponents and as long as she's winning, she must defend the title every week against unsuspecting opponents. You'll never know who will be appearing!

WWE.com Breaking News!!!
After Smackdown Live dropped a bombshell on Raw by signing Goldberg to the blue brand, Raw Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon has taken her thoughts to Twitter, and by the looks of things, the rivalry between Raw and Smackdown is far from over.
@ StephMcMahon: @ RealMickFoley and myself are the ones who brought Goldberg back and made the fantasy warfare match a reality! Just you wait. #SDLive isn't the only one with cards up their sleeves.
After reading Stephanie's comments, one has to think that Monday Night Raw is looking to sign a big name to counter Smackdown signing Goldberg. But who could that be? Raw has already signed the veteran and multi-time Women's Champion, Mickie James. Who could team red be looking to sign next?
Tune in for more details as they come along.
