October 24 2016 Monday Night Raw kicks off tonight with a few selections from the Draft on Saturday, which included the first round picks Bray Wyatt, Cesaro, John Cena. Then they showed the United States Champion Kevin Owens getting his name called, as well as Charlotte, and then the Divas Champion Nikki Bella. They showed Jeff Hardy being drafted, and then later on the night the announcement that free agent Matt Hardy was being drafted to Raw with him. Recapped were some of the other returning superstars like Kelly Kelly and Tomko, while they showed some of the NXT stars drafted like Dana Brooke, Tyler Breeze, and Bayley. We then see the brand new opening video package featuring some of these superstars and divas, as well as Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, Rusev, Roman Reigns, Neville, Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan, and finally we kick things off with Raw! The commentary table has been moved up to the side of the stage, rather than next to the ring, as commentators Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw this evening. Lawler reminisces of days he and Jim Ross would be up there and he's glad to be on Raw for the new era. Cole sends things to Lilian Garcia for the National Anthem on this historic episode of Monday Night Raw. Right after singing, interrupting the USA chants that followed, United States Champion Kevin Owens headed out. Owens trashed Lilian's version of the anthem while saying he'd want the Canadian anthem performed, but he's too afraid Lilian would botch it up. When saying Lilian is Peurto Rican and not American, out comes Rusev and Lana. They make their stance clear that they are on Kevin's side and agree America is a dump, that the WWE is intolerant to other countries, and feels he's been disrespected ever since Mick Foley came. John Cena then heads out, the #1 contender to the Intercontinental Championship on Sunday, claiming Kevin Owens and Rusev don't deserve an ounce of respect, but they're allowed here in America to work and they should be grateful. Cena went on a spill about Owens not being worthy of holding the United States Championship, in which Mick Foley spoils the party. Foley says he sees an alliance being formed already after the draft between Kevin Owens and Rusev, so he's making the following match. It will be Kevin Owens and Rusev teaming in the very first match of the new era against John Cena and Chris Masters! Masters heads out, as Rusev is irate, and Masters is ready to take out Rusev after what happened last week.
Kevin Owens and Rusev vs. Chris Masters and John Cena The match begins with Owens and Cena in the ring, flashback to Kevin Owens and his main roster debut. The two work on each other for a couple minutes before Chris Masters gets tagged in, and he gives no doubt he wants Rusev in the ring. Owens and Rusev flirt with the idea, until Rusev and Owens agree to let Rusev be tagged in. As soon as Rusev is bouncing in the corner, he sees Masters take a couple steps, tags Owens back in and flees the ring.
As this match goes on, Rusev avoids Rage in the Cage opponent Chris Masters until Kevin Owens catches him with a side slam on the hardest part of the ring, the apron. Rusev and Owens would take turns wearing down the back of Chris Masters, and this strategy worked until Masters countered an Accolade attempt, preventing a full lock in, as he stood to his feet and laid out on his back, breaking the hold. Hot tags occurred as John Cena and Kevin Owens came in, fighting off one another. Cena looked to have the match won until Kevin Owens elbowed himself out of an AA and then chop blocked Cena. Owens tagged in Rusev who would measure up for a kick to the jaw, until Chris Masters came in and clotheslined him and Rusev to the floor. Owens chased after him, asking Masters if he knew what he just did, when Masters grabbed Owens and threw him into the barricade. Chris Masters rolled Rusev back into the ring in wait for Cena to do a quick AA and count the 3.
Winners: Chris Masters and John Cena
Backstage, we see Tom Phillips at a sit-down area with two chairs and a table as he welcomes his guest Charlotte. Tom Phillips asked Charlotte what her thoughts were on tonight's match against newcomer Bayley. Charlotte said there was a reason she was the first diva taken in this year's draft, not only before Bayley, not only before Sasha Banks, but before Divas Champion Nikki Bella. Charlotte said Bayley is a piece of cake and is like an enhancement talent for her tonight, whom she'll obliterate to send a message to Nikki.
In the ring, Jeff Hardy is standing inside and talks to his fans and reminisces of the Hardy Boyz and their epic battles in the ring in WWE. Jeff then introduces without further ado, his brother and WWE Raw superstar, Matt Hardy!! To Matt Hardy's music, it's Joe Hennig and Taylor W. Rotunda who walk out instead to an accompaniment of boos. Hennig and Rotunda had mics and talked their way down, as Matt's music stopped, as they spoke about the unnecessary hype surrounding Matt Hardy and the best duo Raw drafted was him and Rotunda, "The Homage Wreckers". Jeff laughed at the name, and said they were so bad, Cody Rhodes was embarrassed of them. The real Matt Hardy then came out and the crowd went nuts as he and Jeff stood side by side, as Matt suggested they take care of the trash for old time sake.
The Homage Wreckers vs. Jeff and Matt Hardy It was Jeff Hardy and Joe Hennig who started things out, but as Hennig tried to get an upperhand, it was Jeff who owned things. Out of frustration, Hennig tagged in Taylor W. Rotunda but then Jeff tagged in Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy didn't let Rotunda get an ounce of offense in, and this went by very quickly as Joe Hennig decided to step in and attack Matt, in which Jeff came to the aid and took Hennig out. The match was over quickly as Rotunda tried using the Hennig attack for an opportunity at a Running Bo-Dog, but Matt threw Rotunda into the corner instead, as Rotunda came back and got hit with a Twist of Fate.
Winners: Jeff and Matt Hardy
In Mick Foley's office, the boss is talking to Cesaro about tonight's main event match. Foley said with other options on the board, he picked Cesaro with the fourth overall pick. Foley mentioned by doing so he missed out on drafting guys like Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, and even Brock Lesnar. Foley said he has a lot of confidence in Cesaro that he'll live up to expectations, and that is why he's pitted in the main event his top two picks from Saturday, him and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt. Foley says he is hoping that Bray finds a way to keep the world title on Raw, and if Cesaro beats him tonight, he'll have to look into a world championship match soon in the future. Cesaro thanks Mick Foley for drafting him to Raw and for the opportunity to humble Bray Wyatt before Sunday.
Kalisto is already in the ring for the next match as the music of Tyler Breeze hits and the 47th overall pick heads down the ramp with the phone streaming live feed onto the titantron. Tyler Breeze walks down the ramp looking at himself into the phone, and he walks around one side of the ring, and then another, and then another, as he heads back up the ramp and Kalisto and the official's wondering what is going on, as Tyler Breeze shows no regard to the match and walks right back to the backstage area without a match. The commentators, not knowing what to do, hype up the main event for tonight once more and elect to take a commercial break.
After commercial, the Divas Champion Nikki Bella heads over to the commentary table beside the stage to sit with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler for the next match featuring Nikki's strongest competition in the division after the draft, including her challenger this Sunday in a Submission Match.
Bayley vs. Charlotte The newcomer Bayley headed out with grins, but Charlotte was on a mission to make a statement early and hit hard. Charlotte would place Bayley in several submission moves, a couple we have never seen before, and Nikki stated on commentary she was a little concerned, having to scout for those submissions less than a week away from her title defense, in which Lawler made a crude comment towards Nikki. Charlotte then placed the Figure-4 in on Bayley and when she had Bayley in the center of the ring, she just let go. Charlotte then stepped over to the ropes as she shouted at Nikki Bella from a distance, to come closer and watch her fate. Nikki decided to accept the challenge as she placed her headset back on the table and walked down the ramp towards Charlotte. As the two mouthed off, Bayley rolled Charlotte over and Charlotte pushed out at two. Charlotte ran back to Bayley, and was caught in perfect position for the Bayley-to-Belly. Bayley took the fall as Nikki watched on and laughed!
Winner: Bayley (debut win on Monday Night Raw)
Commentators Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler use the previous divas action to hype up the return of former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly to the scene. We see a video package of K2 and it ends with a graphic of her "coming soon" to Raw. Jerry Lawler then takes time afterwards to say he loves all the diva picks they got, feeling they got the upperhand on SmackDown, in which Michael Cole interrupts Jerry Lawler to go backstage where we saw The Vaudevillians assaulting Roman Reigns backstage. Simon and Aiden were assaulting one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions with his other half drafted to SmackDown, working on the arm and even sandwiched Roman between the wall and a crate to send a message and help their chances this Sunday in a triple threat tag for the belts.
Daniel Bryan vs. Samoa Joe Daniel Bryan used this match to prove he's more than the 52nd-best in WWE today and that his neck is no problem, while Samoa Joe looked to intentionally test the shoulder and neck nerves. Joe really dominated the entire match and was just playing with Bryan at a certain point. Daniel Bryan fought back from a sleeper hold and used the corner to release the hold and then hit a running dropkick. Samoa Joe went out and laid on the mat as Bryan scaled to the top rope to hit a headbutt, but Joe got up and used an enzuigir to knock Bryan down a peg before hitting a Muscle Buster.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Backstage we see Tom Phillips with Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy at his interview table. Tom Phillips asked Matt what it was like to be back, in which he cited the rush from the crowd that makes his job worth doing. Tom Phillips asked if it's possible they'd team once again, when the Vaudevillians headed over to crash the party, telling the Hardy Boyz to stay as far away from the title picture as possible because they're bringing the titles home to Raw on Sunday, that there's no team that will stop them from achieving their destiny. They crack an Alberto Del Rio joke before telling the Vaudevillians they'll need a lot more than destiny on their side if they want to go toe-to-toe with the Hardy Boyz down the road.
Big Show heads to the ring, ready for his match, when Christian heads out. Christian has to spend time on the microphone, knowing there is a real mismatch between he and the Big Show, even bringing up the role Big Show has been on. Christian says he's found his equalizer, and that is the man who will one day make him world champion, Tomko!! Christian and the entire arena wait for Tomko, who never shows, and as Christian announces Tomko's name a couple more times, Big Show takes matters into his own hands and initiates contact to begin the match.
Big Show vs. Christian This match doesn't last long and is only about Christian begging for Tomko every chance Big Show lets him breathe. Big Show uses his size and power and determination to control the entire match as Christian doesn't get a single offensive move in. The match ended with a vicious Chokeslam after the Big Show asked the crowd first, gaining steam for this Sunday's Last Man Standing Match against SmackDown superstar Sheamus.
Winner: Big Show
Sami Zayn is next to be interviewed by Tom Phillips at his interview table, in which the topic comes up about Dolph Ziggler and his interpromotional match with him on Sunday at Rage in the Cage. Zayn says he wanted to get a hold of Ziggler whenever he cost him a shot at being the Intercontinental Champion, and so he has a chance this Sunday, but with more on the line with bragging rights for Raw. Zayn said he was selected before Ziggler and wants to assure Mick he made the right choice in doing so.
We then transition to the commentators who show a video package for this Sunday's main event at Rage in the Cage, a Valley of Shadows Deathmatch between SmackDown's Seth Rollins and Raw's Bray Wyatt for Bray's WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which involves highlights of the Hell in a Cell match, which Bray says it's much worse, and the voiceover of Mick Foley explaining the rules. After the video, we get ready for the main event between Raw's top two picks.
Bray Wyatt vs. Cesaro in a non-title match The match was pretty even to start with, each throwing a couple simple moves in, until Cesaro got a head of steam and ended up finishing with a crossbody on the outside into a commercial break. Cesaro had Bray Wyatt where he wanted him after the break until a few minutes later, Bray Wyatt had ducked Cesaro's springboard uppercut with a body avalanche, throwing caution into the wind. Bray would wear down the Swiss Superman and eventually take the action to the outside where he'd hit a Uranage on the ring apron, as we took another commercial break.
When the break came back, Bray was wearing out on the back of Cesaro and had him in a touch predicament, wrenching back on the wrist and ankle with a knee to Cesaro's back, stretching him out. Cesaro would be relieved as Bray just let go and hit a running senton to the back, trying to get a pinfall there. Bray would then get caught in a series of Cesaro-like moves as he came back to life and when Bray rolled onto the outside of the apron, Cesaro was able to lift Bray into the ring with a modified superplex. Cesaro went for the swing, but his back gave out and tried getting into a Sharpshooter, but Bray pushed him off. As Cesaro came back around, Bray caught him in a Sister Abigail for the three.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
Raw would end with Bray Wyatt standing tall at the end with his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and sending a direct message to Seth Rollins, as Bray called himself "The Man" as he warned Rollins to "Run" and this one word closes out Raw.

October 26 2016 WWE NXT began tonight with recapping some of the superstars that went in the draft, including the first NXT star taken, champion Shinsuke Nakamura at 20th overall to SmackDown, and then the dominant Nia Jax at 22 to SmackDown also. SmackDown would take their third NXT star, Tye Dillinger, before Raw would take their first in Bayley. In Round 8, Raw would snatch former NXT Champion Tyler Breeze while SmackDown snatched up Zack Ryder, who had been sent down to developmental earlier this year. The final three picks were all from NXT, as Dana Brooke was chosen to go to Raw and The Rock drafted Blake and Murphy, the only 2-time NXT Tag Team Champions in history. We go ringside with Byron Saxton and Corey Graves excited about tonight's show and they hype up the two big matches on the show, Apollo Crews versus Baron Corbin, as well as Tessa Blanchard versus Alexa Bliss.
American Alpha vs. Hype Bros in a non-title match A friendly competition between these two face teams was entertaining. Rawley struggled but Zack Ryder put together a stream of offensive moves and looked to put his team in the driver seat, but had to catch a breather so he tagged in Rawley. Rawley came in and used his power and hype train to bulldoze through, but it's Jason Jordan that equated that much, getting tagged in and outdoing the bulldozing done by Mojo Rawley. Jordan would tag in Gable for Grand Amplitude and this gave the champs a non-title win headed into Saturday.
Winners: American Alpha
As the NXT Tag Team Champions celebrated a victory that wasn't so easy, the challengers for Saturday came and ambushed them from behind. Scott Dawson beat up on Chad Gable and Dash Wilder on Jason Jordan until Dawson threw Gable to the outside and signaled to Dash it was time. The two executed their finishing Shatter Machine on Jordan, signaling their coming for their second reign as NXT Tag Team Champions, winning their first reign last October.
Tye Dillinger was backstage with Elias Samson, who has mentored for the past several weeks, trying to instill confidence in Samson. Dillinger, knowing he's been drafted to SmackDown, called Samson a Perfect 10, in which Samson hugged Dillinger out of pure joy, as Dillinger patted Samson on the back.
Alexa Bliss vs. Tessa Blanchard Alexa Bliss and Tessa Blanchard had scored a little rivalry the last couple of weeks with Tessa getting two over on Alexa Bliss, one by a small packe and the other by using Alexa's finisher, the Sparkle Splash. Bliss came into this one not underestimating Tessa Blanchard and ended up being vicious the entire time. The match was in Alexa's favor until she snapped after not getting a 2-count and going to the outside for a steel chair. The referee noticed and used all his might to take it from Alexa Bliss. When the referee finally got the chair away and reached out on the outside to dump it, Alexa would not stop yelling at the referee, which allowed enough time for Tessa to roll Bliss up as a schoolgirl and score a third fall over Alexa Bliss!
Winner: Tessa Blanchard
A brief preview is shown for Saturday's title match between Asuka and Bayley, and from the video package we hear their thoughts going in. Both are extremely confident they'll walk out NXT Women's Champion, as Bayley adds in that she would like nothing more than to end her NXT tenure on top and add one day to that 399 day reign as champion.
Shinsuke Nakamura has a brief sitdown interview aired from earlier this afternoon, in which the NXT Champion simply states he isn't focused on SmackDown and being drafted there right now, because that doesn't change the fact he'll go into NXT Takeover on Saturday and beat Baron Corbin to remain champion.
Before the main event begins, Saxton and Graves hype up the NXT Takeover card this Saturday: Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs Baron Corbin for the NXT Championship American Alpha(c) vs The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championships Asuka(c) vs Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship Adam Cole vs Apollo Crews Strange Bedfellows vs Tyler Breeze and Fandango Solomon Crowe vs Tye Dillinger
Apollo Crews vs. Baron Corbin This match came about because of Baron Corbin's interview being interrupted by Apollo Crews, and though strange a face would be the one to interrupt an interview, Apollo Crews said he hopes Baron Corbin wins on Saturday so he can have the pleasure taking the NXT Championship from the Lone Wolf. This fueled Baron Corbin at the start and took it to Apollo Crews early, but it was a turning point when Crews got out of a headlock, got to his feet, and executed a perfect dropkick. Crews put together a series of moves before hitting a standing moonsault. This brought Adam Cole out to ringside to talk some smack about Apollo Crews, who was then decked from behind by Baron Corbin. Corbin pulled Crews back up and pushed him into the ropes for End of Days.
Winner: Baron Corbin
The night ended with Baron Corbin standing tall, but Adam Cole wanted a piece of Apollo Crews, picking up the scraps. Baron Corbin then decided to play along, but then turned as he hit a big uppercut to Cole's jaw and hit an End of Days on Cole to gain even more momentum headed into his NXT Championship match on Saturday at NXT Takeover.

Very intrigued on how you handle the tag team titles. I feel like Reigns and Ambrose almost have to lose, but if they do retain, I'd be very interested on how you handle that run with them on separate brands.
Loved seeing Bayley win her first match on Raw, and it was a statement win too. I wonder if a triple threat feud could be on the horizon?
Did I mention that I'm a Bray Wyatt mark? I love everything you've done with him so far. His title reign hasn't been long, but it feels so real! I'm ready for the payoff against Seth Rollins!

October 27 2016 This episode of SmackDown began recapping some of the highlights for the brand in last weekend's draft. It showed Seth Rollins being the first pick for SmackDown and the first overall for WWE, while showing fellow first-rounders Randy Orton and Finn Balor. SmackDown recapped in taking Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper, as well as their first diva pick, Sasha Banks. SmackDown showed off their NXT picks like Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, Tye Dillinger, and the duo of Blake and Murphy. SmackDown opens up with a brand new opening video that includes these superstars as well as Braun Strowman, Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, The Miz, and Becky Lynch. SmackDown kicks off with the crowd going nuts and commentators Rich Brennan and JBL introducing themselves from their new location, up in the press box looking down on the action. They say they love the new setup, and out comes The Rock to kick things off. In the ring, The Rock delivers a passionate speech about the direction SmackDown is pulling WWE in and is thankful for support. The Rock says before Sunday's show, he has a rock-ing card. Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper versus the #1 contender for the United States Championship Randy Orton is on tap. Dean Ambrose will compete against D-Von Dudley. The Rock then calls out the divas, name by name, only leaving out one diva he drafted (happens to be Maria). The Rock felt he had to explain to them why he didn't draft with the chance for the Divas Championship. The Rock said he's tired of them being called divas, and if that is what Raw wants to define the women as, he says its fine. The Rock says he expects the women to be married to their work and feel they are all so, or he wouldn't have drafted them. He calls them the "Matrons Division", and says over the course of three weeks, we'll see three single matches. The winners of those will go on to wrestle to become the first ever WWE Matrons Champion. The six like that, as The Rock announces the first match will be his top two picks, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks. He has the bombshell the match is next, so clear the ring!
Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks ~ WWE Matrons Championship Qualifying Match Nia Jax and Sasha Banks were the top two divas picked and were squaring off to secure the first spot in a triple threat match for the right to be the inaugural WWE Matrons Champion. Everyone saw the size mismatch and Sasha was trying to use her experience to her advantage, as she'd be getting out of some of the complex moves. Nia Jax would target the back of Sasha much of the match, and this is what worked for her out of the commercial break. Towards the end, Nia Jax messed up when she tried to use a middle-rope splash to the back, but when Banks rolled out of the way, this gave her a chance to catch her breath. Sasha Banks rose to her feet and gained some steam and ended up getting a Bank Statement in, but couldn't flip Nia Jax over into the crossface, and Jax's weight fell onto Sasha, taking the breath out of her. Nia would take the advantage to pop up and hit a running leg-drop, followed by picking her up and using a bearhug to break the will of Sasha before slamming her down to the mat, covering her for the 3-count.
Winner: Nia Jax
Sheamus catches The Rock in the hallway and the Celtic Warrior demands a match tonight, claiming after seeing Big Show beat Christian on Raw, he wants to send a message back his way. The Rock understood and said he should find an opponent, in which Sheamus pointed "What about him?!"... It was Tye Dillinger taking a bite of a honey bun, in which Sheamus made fun of. The Rock asked if Tye Dillinger was ready for this, in which he accepted the challenge. Sheamus called Dillinger kid and told him to be ready before grabbing Tye Dillinger's honey bun and shoving it into his chest, disgusted and walking off.
Dean Ambrose vs. D-Von Dudley w/Bubba Ray Dudley With his partner drafted to Raw, Dean Ambrose was all alone in this singles match against D-Von in preparation for Sunday's Rage in the Cage title match. One-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions looked impressive, being the younger and more athletic of the two and D-Von was having a hard time keeping up. Ambrose took a hard hit on a suicide dive gone wrong, and this gave D-Von the advantage for a while. D-Von took control for the next several minutes and attempted a diving headbutt from the top, missing and this giving Ambrose a fighting chance. The two exchanged blow for blow after making it to their feet, and D-Von rocked Ambrose hard, only for Ambrose to use his rebounding clothesline out of his arsenal. Dean scaled to the top and hit an elbow drop to a vertical D-Von, and despite Bubba Ray's coaching, let Ambrose hook him for Dirty Deeds.
Winner: Dean Ambrose
The #1 contender and the #1 overall pick of the WWE came to the ring and Seth Rollins had some things to get off his chest. Rollins spoke about his match this Sunday against Bray Wyatt, and if winning back the championship that he never rightfully lost wasn't motivation enough, he's bringing the most coveted prize to SmackDown for everyone to bow down to him, including Bray's Wyatt Family, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, and even The Rock himself.
Randy Orton is welcomed by Renee Young and is asked a question by Renee about Sunday's interpromotional match for the United States Championship. Orton echoed the theme with everyone else, that it is no different to make sure the United States Championship is on his show, then bringing up the fact the only championship to elude him in his career is the United States Championship. Orton said he's not focused on that until after tonight, because he has a very dangerous opponent in Luke Harper, the Intercontinental Champion.
Sheamus vs. Tye Dillinger In Tye Dillinger's first match as an official WWE contracted superstar at the main roster level, he was hot out of the gates early. Sheamus didn't take Tye Dillinger serious enough when Dillinger reeled off a series of moves and the Celtic Warrior was caught off guard by it. The turning point was Tye Dillinger trying a frog splash off the top rope, where Sheamus rolled out of the way and when both men made it to their feet, Dillinger charged for Sheamus and his momentum carried him into the ringpost, hurting his shoulder.
Sheamus took control of the match from there. As it came towards the end, Dillinger tried to make a comeback with a neckbreaker and then began to look for the Tye Breaker, but Sheamus countered it, pushing Dillinger into the ropes and hitting a Brogue Kick to put the young man away.
Winner: Sheamus
Sheamus had left the ring when Tye Dillinger was slow to get up, Dolph Ziggler rushes by Sheamus to take out Tye Dillinger. Dolph then hits a Famouser and calls out The Rock for being the only man competing at Rage in the Cage to not be placed on the show. Ziggler demanded The Rock to send out an opponent for him this instant. When moments passed and nobody came out, Dolph began to talk up a big game until BROCK LESNAR came to the ring! Ziggler swallowed his pride, and probably his last breath, as the Beast Incarnate's presence shocked the entire world as his advocate Paul Heyman strolled out after Lesnar and nobody expected this!
Dolph Ziggler vs. Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman The crowd and even Dolph Ziggler were shocked to see Lesnar here on SmackDown. The 8th overall pick did not take things lightly, as he caught Ziggler with four German Suplexes before Dolph would be smart enough to roll out of the ring and catch his breath. Lesnar was unfazed and showed no emotion as Dolph teased to get in the ring at the count of 7, and opts not to. He backs up a few steps before rushing into the ring and sliding in at 9, charging for Lesnar, who catches him and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar then goes after Ziggler and lifts him up as he shouts at the camera for the F-5! Ziggler is laid out as Lesnar takes no rush to cover him, but confidently hooks the leg.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
It took no time for the Beast Incarnate to make a statement about where he stands in the new era. The viewers at home are reminded the commentators Rich Brennan and JBL are in the press box as they're joined by The Rock, in which they prompt the question what he's thought about the first night in charge of SmackDown in this new era. The Rock was still pumped on the appearance of Brock Lesnar, saying he asked if he could join him backstage and wanted to talk business earlier this afternoon. Rock said he saw Lesnar and asked if he'd stick around, so when Dolph Ziggler needed to be humbled, Lesnar was the man. The Rock says he's proud of his men so far and stated there will be the second of the triple threat qualifiers for the WWE Matrons Championship, this Sunday on the kickoff, with Becky Lynch versus Emma. The Rock then leaves the booth as he lets the commentators call the main event next.
Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton in a non-title match The main event of SmackDown for the new era featured two men who will try to bring both the Intercontinental and the United States Championship to their brand before it's all said and done this Sunday at Rage in the Cage. Orton had Harper on his own, and Luke Harper looked lost against a veteran and without his leader Bray Wyatt nearby. Randy Orton had the match for him entirely for the majority part early on, but Luke Harper was able to seize control when Harper rolled out and Orton went after him, but Harper elbowed Orton as he stuck his head through the ropes. Harper hopped on the apron real quick and hit a DDT on the hardest part of the ring to take control.
Randy Orton battled back and ended up countering a Discus Clothesline, that would have finished him off, with an inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton and Harper got up simultaneously with a few clotheslines by the Viper and a perfect snap scoop powerslam. Orton then stalked Harper for an RKO, but Harper pushes Orton off and Orton tries to come back with a clothesline, that Harper dunks and Harper hits a Discus Clothesline! Harper makes the cover but only gets two. Harper then picked Orton up and put him in position for a Half Nelson Slam, but Orton hit an RKO! Orton slithers for the cover.
Winner: Randy Orton
Randy Orton's hand was raised in victory as he stood up and celebrated a big win, motivating him for 72 hours when he tries to win the first United States Championship of his career, the only title to elude him in WWE. Orton is standing tall as SmackDown signs off for the night.

I just now saw this, sorry for not getting back to you. In means a lot for you to say that about Bray Wyatt in the first month (and possibly the last) of his championship reign. This is a storyline, and their upcoming match, that I've been planning for a long, long time. Perhaps since WrestleMania, actually. I hope it won't disappoint! And with the tag title situation, it's funny how that worked out. There's a different result for whichever team wins, who will control the tag team championships. You should enjoy it, I'm sure!

RotundaIn the first Raw versus SmackDown match of the night, Dillinger proved Foley wrong and used his Tye-Breaker to win the match.October 30 2016 Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami ZaynThe first ever WWE Rage in the Cage event began with a Raw versus SmackDown match, one that had costed these superstars championship opportunities leading up to the draft. The two athletes gave it their all, plus with spots, one that included Zayn trying a springboard moonsault, but Ziggler moving out of the way and Zayn getting caught on the barricade, only to be superkicked by Ziggler. There also was a moment of the Zig-Zag being performed on the outside, with Zayn crashing on the floor. Ziggler controlled most of the match after these spots.
Towards the finish, Ziggler looked to put SmackDown up 2-0, including the kickoff show, but when trying for a Zig-Zag, Zayn held onto the ropes. When Ziggler rushed back towards Zayn, Sami caught him, repositioned, hitting the exploder suplex into the corner and going after a win right there, but only a two. Zayn backed up for a Helluva Kick, but Dolph moved out of the way and executed a Zig-Zag as Zayn flipped over Dolph's body to the center of the ring with the momentum from the move. Dolph went for the cover and Zayn barely got his shoulder up. Frustrated, Dolph went to the corner and geared up for a Superkick and after yelling at the fans chanting "HBK", Ziggler finally shot for it and hit it, but this didn't get Zayn off his feet. Though the move dazed him, and Dolph hopped up for a DDT, but Zayn pushed Ziggler right back into the corner and a split-second later hit the Helluva Kick! Ziggler fell motionlessly to the mat and Zayn pulled Dolph out far enough to pin him for the win.Winner: Sami Zayn (Raw 1 - SD 1) As Sami Zayn celebrated being the first Raw superstar to win tonight, we went backstage where The Rock and Mick Foley were there with friendly banter, as the two commended each other for each having a win tonight. Foley says his top two divas are about to do battle, but they'll see which show comes out on top at the end, and what match the fans are talking about tomorrow morning. We then watch a video package of the story behind Charlotte and Nikki's rivalry that should culminate tonight in a submission match. Nikki Bella(c) vs. Charlotte in a Submission Match for the WWE Divas ChampionshipBoth competitors showed out this match why they are two of the best in the business. With nobody at ringside, they had to go at it on their own. Charlotte took a hard spot earlier in the match, where Nikki used a move similar to her boyfriend's Attitude Adjustment, using it for Charlotte's back to hit the ring apron, and that is when Nikki targeted the back. Charlotte would try, in this submission match, to get the leg and also challenge the wind of Nikki Bella with holds to the head and the waist.
As time began to end, Nikki had Charlotte right where she wanted her with a Sharpshooter, wearing out Charlotte's back, and when it looked like Nikki had retained as a screaming Charlotte hollered in pain, Charlotte lunged for the rope break and got it. Nikki Bella stood up and paused, not knowing what to do, when boyfriend John Cena headed down to the ring telling Nikki to do the STF. When Nikki and John argued, Nikki turned her attention back to the ring and Charlotte speared her, and then pulling her away from the ropes closest to Cena, she locked in the Figure-4 Leg Lock. Cena encouraged Nikki not to tap, and as the referee's vision was solely on Nikki, Charlotte grabbed the bottom rope for an advantage. Cena hopped on the apron and grabbed the referee's attention, trying to explain to him Charlotte's teaching ways, but to no use. Nikki hollered over at Cena to go away, but Charlotte used this to transition into a Figure-8. The pressure was too much for Nikki as when Cena finally got off the apron per the official's orders, Nikki would tap seconds later with no way out, losing her championship.Winner: Charlotte, new WWE Divas Champion Charlotte celebrated her second Divas Championship as John Cena buried his face in his hands, feeling awful for his girlfriend Nikki Bella losing her championship after coming back and regaining it last month. Big Show vs. Sheamus in a Last Man Standing MatchThe two wanted each other so badly that as Big Show made his entrance last, Sheamus jumped the gun and headed after Big Show for a brawl. We ended up seeing a bad spill as the two eventually made it back towards the entrance way and Big Show landed a chokeslam on Sheamus, which Sheamus got up about 6 of, but was then thrown directly into the mini-tron screen. It took Sheamus forever to get up, but the two eventually made their ways toward ringside when Big Show tried hitting a chokeslam on the bottom portion of the steel steps, but when Sheamus avoided it, he hit an Irish Curse backbreaker on that instead. As Sheamus used the top portion to hit Big Show across the head a couple times, he tossed that aside and cleared room as Sheamus speared Big Show through the barricade. This broken barrier eventually led to the action spilling past the floor seats of fans, and using trashcans and the bleacher wall to their advantage. After making their way back to the ring, anything was at their disposal and they used steel chairs, kendo sticks, and Sheamus even bodyslammed Big Show through the Spanish announce table, only for Show to get up at a count of 9.
Towards the end, both were at their last gasp, and it took Sheamus hitting a Brogue Kick on Big Show. Big Show rolled under the bottom rope however and got up on the apron to break the count at 7. Sheamus would then run for another Brogue Kick, but Big Show fell off the apron and into a table set up earlier in the match. Big Show would try to stir, but could only reach his knees before the 10 was called and Sheamus was declared the winner.Winner: Sheamus (Raw 1 - SD 2) Chris Masters vs. Rusev w/LanaTwo of the better submission stoppage wrestlers in WWE faced off tonight. While both tried getting their trademark submission holds in, each were avoiding it, and the two stars had to rely on their second biggest weapon, their hard-hitting shots, in which made the crowd awe and gasp. Rusev took a few bad bumps and even had outcries throughout from the pain, and mustering up to go on.
As the match came to a close, Masters tried once again to get his Masterlock in, but Rusev had elbowed out and then hit a superkick. Lana signaled for Rusev to crush, as Rusev rolled Masters over and stepped on his back. As Rusev got down and tried locking in The Accolade, Masters used his power and might to keep Rusev's hands from ever locking in and getting to stand on his feet before elbowing Rusev in the gut several times and then going on a hot streak. Masters would even hit a sitout spinebuster and toss Rusev aside as he wanted the win by his Masterlock. He'd have Rusev get to his feet and actually lock in the Masterlock fully, but Lana got up on the apron and got the official's attention. This also got Masters attention, as Rusev began to tap and the official never saw it. Masters would walk over to Lana, pointing the blame at her, as Rusev got up from his one knee and charged with a superkick, that Masters would step aside and knock Lana down with. Masters took what he could get and use a schoolboy pin to win tonight at Rage in the Cage.Winner: Chris Masters Chris Masters would quickly slip out under the bottom rope and head up the ramp as the referee went after him to officially raise his hand. Rusev wasn't concerned about the loss, not as much as for his wife Lana. Rusev called for the medical attention that would eventually come, but not soon enough for Rusev. Rusev cried over his wife Lana, apologizing repeatedly, as we see a stretcher come out for Lana. Rusev wouldn't allow the stretcher, but would carry her to the back himself demanding the medical staff not to touch her, that he'd take her. We then switched gears for the triple threat tag team title match that had so much implications and could have any outcome imaginable. Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns(c) vs. The Vaudevillians vs. The Dudley Boyz for the WWE Tag Team ChampionshipsThis is perhaps the most complex triple threat tag team match we'll likely never see again in WWE. The Vaudevillians surprisingly impressed and kept up with two of the better tag teams of 2016 this year. Roman Reigns was showing ill effect from being attacked backstage by The Vaudevillians six nights ago, basically competing tonight with one arm. Dean Ambrose carried the load for his team, but it was mainly The Vaudevillians and The Dudley Boyz in the match, with Ambrose mixed in there when he had to, as only two men could legally be in the ring. This rule went out the window when Aiden tagged in Simon and the two hit Rolling Dervish on D-Von Dudley, and Bubba Ray came in and broke up the pin, and also started a brawl with Aiden. Bubba Ray had gotten frustrated with the heelish tactics performed by the Vaudevillians all match and this imploded. Dean Ambrose ended up attacking Simon and the two spilled to the outside, just like Aiden and Bubba Ray. Then Roman Reigns, with the bad arm, decided it was a good idea to leap over the top rope and take everyone out.
As this match came to a close and the chaos left the ring, left was Simon and D-Von Dudley, Simon was trying to get an upperhand on D-Von, but that wasn't happening. D-Von hit a snap scoop powerslam and was ready to hit a thrust spinebuster, until he was hit with Roman's Superman Punch. Simon had rolled over to the corner of the ring, as Dean Ambrose reached over and tagged in Simon. Ambrose came in and told Reigns to take care of business outside. As Bubba Ray and Aiden began to stir, Reigns took a leap of faith again and leaped over the top rope, taking them out. Dean waited for the 44-year-old D-Von to make it to his feet before hitting Dirty Deeds and hooking the leg for the win.Winners: Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns (Raw 1 - SD 2) As the champions celebrated their title retention, not knowing when they'll tag with each other again because of the brand split, they take it all in. Roman Reigns isn't moving his arm as the referee tries to ask if he's alright, before waving him off and Ambrose and Reigns head out as the two failed teams shake their heads on the outside after a missed opportunity, and with no definitive winner of that match in terms of Raw or SmackDown. There is a video package played for John Cena, the longstay in WWE and perhaps the face of the company for the last decade-plus. The video package captures Cena's championship reigns, but one is missing, the Intercontinental Championship. It shows the greats who have held the Intercontinental Championship in the past, as well as Cena saying he wants the title to complete his career. It shows the final weeks of this rivalry, as well as highlights from Luke Harper's reign that began in July at Battleground. Luke Harper(c) vs. John Cena for the Intercontinental ChampionshipJohn Cena was in the zone tonight and was focused on getting the Intercontinental Championship, not only to fill out his accolades, but to bring the Intercontinental Championship to Monday nights. Cena was looking good, and actually dominated about 75% of the entire match. Cena even was moments away from the title when he had the STF locked in, as Luke Harper nearly faded away, but regained consciousness enough to make one last lunge for the ropes and made it. Cena would work on it a little more and decide pinfall was the way to go to win.
As the match progressed a few minutes later, Cena was on a roll and even hit a Springboard Stunner on Harper! Cena then raised his hand in the air and executed the Five Knuckle Shuffle, closing in on the championship. Cena then got ready for Harper to make it to his feet for an Attitude Adjustment, but Cena's eyes were caught up to the ramp when the newly crowned Divas Champion Charlotte came out. Cena headed over to the ropes as he saw Charlotte from a distant flaunting her championship, reminding Cena of earlier tonight when Nikki Bella lost that very title. Cena was shaken mentally and demanded Charlotte leave, to get out of here, and when he turned around to focus on his match, ate a Discus Clothesline and Harper dropped for the pin.Winner: Luke Harper (Raw 1 - SD 3) The winner was able to escape with the championship tonight for his brand, giving SmackDown a huge lead tonight. We then see a video package for Randy Orton, who in his own right, the only championship to elude his career has been the United States Championship. Running a similar path as John Cena, Randy Orton hopes to capture the championship tonight. In essence, if he wins the following match, he'll have secured a win for SmackDown this PPV in terms of head-to-head contests. Kevin Owens(c) vs. Randy Orton for the United States ChampionshipUnlike Cena's hot start in the previous match, Randy Orton was struggling early on. Owens was really working on the back and it looked to be a great gameplan to make the Viper ineffective. Orton had little flashes of offense early, but it withered away to nothing as Owens continued to work on the back. Orton even took a spill on a superplex that did not look good and he pointed to his lower back when the referee went over to check on him, and when Owens went for a pin, only a two-count came of it.
Later on, towards the end of the match, Owens had tried a Popup Powerbomb, one that Orton was able to counter into an RKO that caught all by surprise and everyone was stunned speechless after that. Orton saw light as he rolled Owens over, but Kevin was able to lift his shoulder off the mat to keep his retention hopes alive. Orton couldn't believe it, as the two laid down on the mat and both were able to make it to their feet simultaneously and exchanged a few offensive blows. Orton then eventually got the upperhand and punched him all the way to the ropes, and then whipped him to the other side, Owens ducked a clothesline from Orton, and instead of bouncing right back off the ropes, he held on for dear life to stop the momentum. Randy came over to Owens, who picked up the foot of Orton and executed a backbody drop over the top rope. Orton's back hit the ring apron hard, as he hit the floor hollering in pain. Kevin Owens was frozen for a second until he realized his window was open. Owens then went out and hit the Powerbomb on the ring apron, as Orton basically blacked out from the pain. Owens rolled his challenger into the ring and went after him. Instead of going for the pin, Kevin picked Orton back up and challenged him to RKO him now, as he sent him into the ropes and hit a Popup Powerbomb, this time successfully, just to rub it in. Kevin dropped to the mat and finally accepted the win.Winner: Kevin Owens (Raw 2 - SD 3) As the champion celebrated his victory tonight at the first ever Rage in the Cage PPV, the commentators for Raw were at ringside for this PPV, as they introduced the rules for the Valley of Shadows Deathmatch, per champion and Raw superstar Bray Wyatt. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler urged parents to put their kids to bed early because this match could end one's life. After the rules were introduced, the SmackDown commentators at ringside spoke of their confidence in challenger Seth Rollins, who held the title for 546 days, never lost the championship himself, and with bias predict he comes out as the winner tonight. VALLEY OF SHADOWS DEATHMATCH RULES: * A Hell in a Cell like cage structure with a lower ceiling * No door entrance/exit * There is a circular opening in the center at the top of the cage * A ladder is at the circular opening to lower the wrestlers inside * Weapons are at the wrestler's disposal on the cage roof, hanging from inside the roof, attached to the cell walls, and under the ring * Winner is determined by pinfall or submission in the cage structure The cage structure lowered before the match with the official already in the ring and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt was the first to make his entrance, and when he finally got to the bottom, laughed at his imagination's creation. Bray Wyatt then dropped the championship and began to climb the cage structure to get to the top of the roof. Instead of entering the cage by a ladder, Bray just picked up a kendo stick and waited for his challenger Seth Rollins. Rollins made his entrance and as he headed down, he saw the championship left at the bottom of the ramp. Rollins picked it up and looked at it real hard before he threw it down and climbed the cage to go after Bray Wyatt, and we were underway! Bray Wyatt(c) vs. Seth Rollins in a Valley of Shadows Deathmatch for the WWE World Heavyweight ChampionshipOnce Seth Rollins got up the cage, Bray went after Seth with a kendo stick, but Rollins tackled Bray Wyatt and hammered away with fists. Rollins got up and saw a steel chair around and began slashing Bray's back with it before throwing it down and hitting a Pedigree on the chair, on the cage roof! Seth Rollins rolled Bray over for the pin, but the referee was shouting from the ring that Seth couldn't win via pinfall outside the cage. Rollins realizing this, he decided to go ahead and lower himself into the cage structure by getting his feet on the ladder and stepping down it. Seth looked around the cage and saw all the weapons attached to the cage walls and as his breath was taken away by the depth of knowledge, Bray had gotten up and began his descent into his structure, as Rollins saw this, he stopped his tour outside the ring, as he rolled back in and tipped the ladder over and Bray hit the top rope as Seth then clotheslined him over it.
The two would battle on the outside and Seth was able to get his hands on the steel steps and a baseball bat to hammer away at Bray Wyatt. Seth was in control on the outside until he looked under the ring and found shaving cream, of all things, and as Seth was baffled as to why it was there, he caught a wrench to the head. This busted Seth Rollins open as Bray Wyatt rolled him back in the ring and continued, but not before grabbing a dress belt so he can go inside and do a beating on Seth. After beating him within an inch of his life, Bray went to the outside and pulled a cinderblock out from the ring and put it inside and set up for a Sister Abigail on it, but Seth avoided it to save his career. After this save, Seth and Bray really got into the wrestling of this match with various holds and impressive moves. Seth had hit a Phoenix Splash and almost got a count during this series, while Bray had a single-leg Boston crab, that Rollins was able to get out of. As Rollins got on the apron, Bray came running and knocking Seth to the outside again, as Seth's face smacked the cage wall.
On the outside again, Bray Wyatt was in full control and used weapons such as a steel chair, a bull rope, and even pulled out a barbed wire 2x4, one he'd use to rake the eyes of Seth Rollins. As the action made it back inside, only because Bray tossed Seth back in. Bray Wyatt pulled an attached table off the cage wall and slid it inside. Bray set the table up and was about to go after Seth, before he shook his head and went back outside. Bray tossed the top of the second ring steps off to find a lighter as he looked under the ring for gasoline. Bray went in and put the gasoline on the table, but before he could light it on fire, Seth came and battled back, just throwing everything he had. Before the table could be lit, Seth Rollins even hit a superplex on Bray through the table. Rollins used the impact the superplex took on Bray to go outside and grab the bottom of the steel steps to slide into the ring. Seth then pulled Bray over and set up a Pedigree, but Bray fought out of it and hit an uppercut to Seth's jaw. They battled for a bit, until Seth eventually rocked him with a jumping knee. Rollins did get the Pedigree on the steel steps, but that only got 2 to Seth's dismay.
Rollins went searching for another table, and had to go under the ring to get that. Sliding it in the ring, he cleared the ring of most the other weapons, as he set the table up and beat Bray up a little more before putting him on the table. Seth picked up the ladder and began to scale to the top, and with forever time as Bray hadn't moved. Seth finally got to the top and took a leap of faith, trying to hit a splash from the top, but Bray moved at the last second and Rollins fell through the table on his own. Bray then took the ladder, folded it, and tossed the ladder out of the ring. Bray then rolled onto the outside and pulled out a fluorescent light tube out from under the ring before sliding it into the ring and following it. Seth was just getting up with aid from the ropes as Bray went after him, grabbed him, and hit a Sister Abigail to the mat! Bray didn't go for the pin as he dragged Seth over to the fluorescent light tube, picked him up, and he hit an Uranage through the light tube, as that was all she wrote as Rollins was done for as Bray Wyatt rolled Rollins off the tube and made the cover.Winner: Bray Wyatt (Raw 3 - SD 3) After a devastating match, one that took these guys to the most extreme heights in WWE history, Bray Wyatt was knelt at the mat, as his championship was on the outside where they left it headed in. After resting for a few minutes and Bray basking in his win, Bray ordered the cage structure to rise, and slowly it lifted up off the ground and into the air where it had been suspended all night. Wyatt stepped over the carnage and made his way to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship laying there on the ground, as he picked it up and held it up in the air. With as much pain as he took tonight, he laughed as he limped away with the championship. Raw and SmackDown tied tonight, but Raw might have came out with the edge after walking away with the world title and as SmackDown's #1 pick's career might have been shortened, if not ended, tonight at Rage in the Cage.

Let me first just say...
Wow, wow, wow, wow...
WOW!
What a PPV Rage in the Cage was. Every aspect of the show felt real. I don't even think WWE could book a show that good. Obviously my favorite part was Bray Wyatt rightfully retaining. Interesting that Reigns and Ambrose also retained. I wonder if they'll possibly have to forfeit the titles down the line? Either way, I like what you're doing. This PPV by far is my favorite work of yours yet.
