September 15 2016 SmackDown began this Thursday night with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins coming out and complaining about Raw, when Kevin Owens walked out on him, and even having to compete just a couple weeks before his title defense. Rollins then goes into a spout about having to defend against Cesaro, who hasn't been around since WrestleMania. This strangely prompts WWE Divas Champion Charlotte to the ring, where she empathizes with Rollins in her situation with Nikki Bella. The two bond over this until Mick Foley heads out and says he just got a brilliant idea. Tonight, we'll try a tag team match again. It'll be Seth Rollins teaming with Charlotte in a mixed tag main event against Nikki Bella and Cesaro! The two cringe at the sound of their names, but feel they will go into battle with one another.
Finn Balor w/Hideo Itami def. D-Von Dudley w/Bubba Ray Dudley D-Von requested this match after Monday, and Balor had gotten into his head enough for D-Von to be caught off guard with a Slingblade, followed by a Coup de Grace.
Footage from earlier today shows Kalisto heading into the arena when he's ambushed by Sheamus in the parking lot. Sheamus stomps down on Kalisto before picking him up and throwing him into the windshield of a car like a ragdoll. We then turn to Sheamus walking into Mick Foley's office, as Sheamus says he heard Foley wanted to see him. Mick jumps down the Celtic Warrior's throat for his actions this afternoon, then places Sheamus into a match against the Big Show. Rather than trembling, Sheamus laughed in Foley's face before walking out, which infuriated Foley even more.
Luke Harper w/Bray Wyatt def. Daniel Bryan in a non-title match Harper and Bryan tore the house down, but it was a Discus Clothesline that landed Bryan on the mat for three.
After his match, Luke Harper was standing with the Intercontinental Championship in his hand with Mr. Money in the Bank Bray Wyatt by his side. Bray had a microphone and told Sami Zayn that he's messed with the wrong family, and Harper has a few words for him. Luke Harper laid out what he'd do to Sami at Night of Champions, saying he'll tear limb from limb, and to order Zayn to follow the Buzzards.
Big Show def. Sheamus via Countout When the going got tough and Sheamus didn't see a way to beat the Big Show, he left after taking a pounding on the chest and back, giving Big Show an easy victory.
Backstage, Nikki Bella is standing by with Tom Phillips and is asked about tonight's mixed tag main event. Nikki says her sister isn't here tonight, but she is thankful she has Cesaro to back her up tonight. We then see Cesaro enter the picture, who encourages Nikki about tonight, and then takes over the interview time by sending a direct message to Seth Rollins that the same will happen tonight as it did on Monday.
The #1 contender for the United States Championship heads out, and Kevin Owens has a lot to say. Kevin Owens uses the time in the ring to point out various Canadian sensations, inventions, and celebrities. Owens then acknowledges his name on the list and all he's done in the WWE, and doesn't fail to mention all these surpass the American people and the United States Championship. Jeff Hardy then heads out and tells Owens he makes him sick, and that he should have respect for this country. Owens then caves, but it's a false apology, when he thumbs Hardy in the eye and hits a Popup Powerbomb. Owens heads out for the commercial break, but when it comes back from commercial, we show footage from the break where Jeff Hardy got back up and challenged Kevin Owens to a match right now!
Kevin Owens def. Jeff Hardy Owens toyed with Hardy, and even though the Charismatic Enigma showed heart, Owens ended this match with a Popup Powerbomb, the second delivered to Hardy tonight.
The commentary team of Booker T, Jerry Lawler, and Rich Brennan provide a medical update on Kalisto, saying he has a lacerated spleen and is out for the foreseeable future. They also announce Mick Foley has made clear there are strong consequences for Sheamus this Monday on Raw. We then get ready for the main event.
Seth Rollins and Charlotte def. Cesaro and Nikki Bella A great match to end SmackDown, but Rollins and Cesaro's brawl on the outside got out of control that took the ref's attention away, enough for Paige to come out and blast Nikki with the championship before Charlotte would pin Nikki.
The long-reigning champions Seth Rollins and Charlotte celebrated this victory, along with Paige, as SmackDown goes off the air and one week remaining before Night of Champions.

September 19 2016 There's a video package after the Raw intro about the good ole days of Raw and SmackDown, then we hear Mick Foley's music as the man in charge comes down. Mick Foley mentions the rumblings across the web, and wants to make the record straight. Foley says since he took over for The Authority, he's been trying to pass ideas with creative, some ideas he's had for a very long time. Mick said his goal was to make Raw and SmackDown equally enjoyable, 5 hours of spectacular content a week, and wants to bring old fans back to enjoy it. Mick said he was proud to announce that on October 22nd, they will be using the WWE Network to air a second WWE brand extension with a live Draft! Foley, trying to overtalk the Yes chants, said any active wrestler in the entire world is available for drafting, and there's no exceptions! Foley then draws attention back to this Sunday at Night of Champions and how it effects tonight. Foley wants to challenge the champions of WWE tonight with several matches. It will be Kevin Owens against rival Sami Zayn, before the two battle to become champions this Sunday. Foley also announces a Champion versus Champion match with Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper up against United States Champion Neville. Foley also mentions tonight, Raw will conclude with a contract signing for Seth Rollins and Cesaro, but before that, both men are competing in the opening match! Mick calls it a Fatal-4 Way with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Cesaro, and the other two filling it out is Hideo Itami and Bubba Ray Dudley! Mick leaves the ring for Raw to begin.
Cesaro def. Bubba Ray Dudley, Hideo Itami, and Seth Rollins in a Fatal-4 Way Match This original match was incredible, and it saw Bubba Ray Dudley hit a Powerbomb off the top rope on Itami, but that wasn't enough. Seth would use the Pedigree on Bubba Ray, but Cesaro hit an uppercut and then a Neutralizer to pin the world champ.
After the match however, Hideo Itami was attacked from behind like a pack of wolves by The Homage. The Homage began to tear the ringside area apart and when Bubba Ray Dudley saw, he left the ringside area. They would clear the announce table and go for a Triple Powerbomb, putting Hideo Itami through the table, sending a clear warning to Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.
Sheamus was backstage when Mick Foley walks up to him. Sheamus taunted the rumors of him having consequences tonight, and Foley said he would. Foley placed Sheamus in a second Fatal-4 Way Match tonight against Finn Balor, D-Von Dudley, and the Big Show! Sheamus took it like a man, though a little fearful, as Foley walked off.
Luke Harper w/Bray Wyatt def. Neville in a Champion vs Champion Match The two competitors were even, but Bray's presence was the tipping hand, as a crack with the Money in the Bank briefcase behind the referee's back took Neville out.
Sami Zayn got interviewed with Renee Young about his match tonight against the familiar Kevin Owens, but Zayn comments first on Luke Harper's actions moments ago, while saying he knows how to beat the Wyatt Family and vows to put an end to this nonsense on Sunday. Zayn then mentions Kevin Owens and it should be a great match, that he won't take Kevin Owens lightly and needs to focus, but that's when Owens walks up and mentions if Zayn won't take him seriously, that'll be his mistake and he can forget becoming a 3-time Intercontinental Champion this Sunday.
Mick Foley is in his office with the Bella Twins when Paige and Divas Champion Charlotte walk in, and this causes a ruckus. Foley calms it down and says he wants all four to hear what he has to say. Foley realizes how big this PPV is on Sunday at Night of Champions, with a rematch one year in the making, that is why he's barring both Paige and Brie Bella from ringside on Sunday. When this decision wasn't popular, it was Foley announcement to reassure this, that it will be inside a Steel Cage. This wasn't popular with any party, and Foley understood six nights from Night of Champions, this isn't easy to take in. Foley then said that Charlotte and Nikki Bella get the week off to prepare, and they can scout the Steel Cage this Thursday on SmackDown. Confused, Foley explains they'll understand on Thursday, but as for tonight he's booked Paige versus Brie Bella, so he urges them to get ready for that. All four divas leave the office in a worse mood than they came in, as a blockbuster was made for Sunday.
Big Show def. D-Von Dudley, Finn Balor, and Sheamus in a Fatal-4 Way Match After Sheamus scurried up the ramp when Big Show's fist was loaded for WMD, Big Show unloaded on D-Von Dudley to win this match and stare at Sheamus from a distance, wanting to get his hands on Sheamus more than ever.
Neville is getting treatment in the back with a trainer when Renee Young wants a word. Neville said tonight was supposed to be for the fans, to get them excited about Night of Champions this Sunday, but Luke Harper shows no respect. Neville swears it's from the source, and that is why he's challenging Mr. Money in the Bank Bray Wyatt to a match on Thursday night!
Sami Zayn def. Kevin Owens Knowing each other so well over the years came into play, when Owens was on the top rope and Zayn pulled off his leg, Owens' head hit the turnbuckle and Zayn backed up for a Helluva Kick to win.
Paige def. Brie Bella As Nikki Bella and Divas Champion Charlotte were at odds on commentary, Brie was caught with a Paige-Turner and lost this match.
Mick Foley spotted Sheamus before he left and told the Celtic Warrior as a result of tonight, he's making a match for Night of Champions that Sheamus go one-on-one with the Big Show! Sheamus wasn't pleased, but promised he'd slay the giant this Sunday. This was before the final commercial break.
After commercial, Mick Foley had made his way to the ring for the contract signing. Cesaro made his way to the ring, followed by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. They exchanged words, nothing that hadn't been said before. Cesaro said he's pinned Seth twice in the last two weeks, and don't think it can't become three times in three weeks. Seth signed the contract first, and immediately after Cesaro's final stroke on the contract, Seth reaches over and decks Cesaro. This ensues in security separating the two before this Sunday's championship match.

September 22 2016 The WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring and complains, once again, about Cesaro's opportunity handed to him and how terrible of a job that the biased Mick Foley has done since taking over last month. Mick Foley answers this call, and says if anyone has earned an opportunity at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it's certainly Cesaro. Foley brings up the fact Cesaro has beaten Seth Rollins twice in the last two weeks and that makes him more than qualified. Foley told Seth his job is to store order, and was upset that his world champion couldn't be civil during the contract signing. Mick's using this that in the main event tonight, Seth can wrestle the man who won his Fatal-4 Way on Raw, the Big Show! Seth was ticked, but Mick wasn't listening to any of it as he left.
The opening match was scheduled to be The Homage's Cody Rhodes and Joe Hennig versus Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, but as The Homage took things a step further by entering the ring down the steps through the crowd, just like The Shield, Cody and Joe were attacked by Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Taylor W. Rotunda, by the time he got to the other side, got a big right from Roman Reigns. This brawl ensued until Enzo Amore, of all people, made peacemaker. He thought since Sunday's match is going to be a 2-on-3 handicap match in favor of The Homage, it should be the other way around with a 4-on-3 handicap match tonight. The Homage didn't like the idea, but the busy Mick Foley came out from the curtain and gave the thumbs up for the match to go on.
Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Enzo Amore, and Colin Cassady def. The Homage in a 4-on-3 Handicap Match After Enzo's brilliant idea, he scored the fall with Air Enzo on Taylor W. Rotunda, who wasn't even supposed to compete tonight.
Footage is shown from earlier today where Becky Lynch and Emma got into it in catering, setting up a match that is about to take place right now.
Becky Lynch def. Emma w/Kaval This scrappy fight ended in Emma caught in the Dis-Arm-Her and tapping out to save her arm.
The Wyatt intro rolls and Mr. Money in the Bank Bray Wyatt is there with Luke Harper in the background. Bray laughs at Neville's challenge to wrestle him tonight, promising he regrets it. Luke Harper advises the United States Champion to run before this promo ends.
Neville def. Bray Wyatt w/Luke Harper in a non-title match via Disqualification This match is called after Kevin Owens rushes to the ring after Neville's Spaceman Plancha. Owens lifted him up and hit a Popup Powerbomb to the apron on Neville, leaving the United States Champion tended to by medical staff.
After commercial, Kevin Owens is walking with a swagger backstage when Mick Foley comes up and rips a new one into him. Foley can't begin to understand, because Neville was supposed to defend his United States Championship in 72 hours time. Owens then reminds Foley of the contract signing on Tuesday morning at WWE Headquarters, and then winks at Foley, telling Foley he should buy the new nameplate on the United States Championship before walking away.
The Divas Champion Charlotte heads out and when she gets to the ring, looks at the steel cage above her. Charlotte spills about it being unfair she's competing in a Steel Cage, let alone knowing 6 nights before. Then the challenger Nikki Bella comes out and she says there's no excuses, because she found out the same time Charlotte and the rest of the world did. Nikki says she won't make any excuses because she realizes the history, not only to win back the Divas Championship, but to follow in the footsteps of Lita and Trish Stratus with this steel cage match. Charlotte's face then is stunned when Ric Flair's music hits. Ric Flair heads out to the dismay of the entire crowd, Nikki, Charlotte, everybody! Ric Flair takes his time getting in the ring and then lets the steel cage fall down. Ric reminisces on some of his epic steel cage battles in the day and lets both Nikki and his daughter Charlotte know how much a steel cage can take out of them. After Ric is done, Charlotte then asks her dad to tell Nikki what she's in store for when she loses to her a second time at Night of Champions. Ric is silent, and as Charlotte is acting like a spoiled brat, the crowd gets louder. Ric Flair tells Charlotte to take Nikki seriously because Nikki Bella has held the divas division upright for the last 8 years. While Nikki was eating this up, Charlotte said she's held the division up for the last year while Nikki was too scared to face her. Charlotte then realizes Ric Flair doesn't believe she can win, and this is when Nikki goes over to the door and lets herself out as Ric and Charlotte have it out in the ring, dropping the microphones and having a personal conversation, though the fans can see everything as we go to commercial.
Braun Strowman def. Aiden w/Simon A very quick squash with the lifting arm triangle choke on Aiden, while after the match, Simon stayed away as far as possible.
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are interviewed by Tom Phillips backstage about Sunday's PPV in a 2-on-3 handicap match. Ambrose said tonight was a different situation than what it'll be like on Sunday, but they're prepared for it. Reigns said they messed with the wrong guys in the wrong way, and if they want The Shield, they'll get The Shield this Sunday! After this interview, the commentators preview Sunday's Night of Champions right before the main event.
Big Show def. Seth Rollins in a non-title match via Disqualification To avoid further damage before his title defense in 3 days, Rollins intentionally disqualified himself with a chair shot.
After the chair shot from behind, this enraged Big Show and the World's Largest Athlete took it out on Seth Rollins. Cesaro would then run down and hit a springboard European Uppercut on Seth and grab a mic saying he's ready for this Sunday and we'll be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion! The crowd rooting on Cesaro is how we end the final event before WWE's Night of Champions.

We then cut to ringside where the commentators introduce the video package for the main event up next. Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins(c) ends in a Double Countout for the WWE World Heavyweight ChampionshipThe two, a little over five minutes into the match, get on the outside and begin to brawl on the outside, enough for the ref's hand to be forced to count ten.The fans drowned the arena with boos until Mick Foley's music hit. Mick Foley told everyone in the arena that before Night of Champions goes off the air on the WWE Network, we'll see a definitive winner. Mick Foley tells the referee not to count any competitor out, and to restart the match! Seth wasn't fond of it, but Cesaro got straight to fighting, jumping on Rollins as the bell rings to restart. Cesaro def. Seth Rollins(c) via Disqualification for the WWE World Heavyweight ChampionshipCesaro and Seth Rollins had gotten back in the ring after a while fighting outside, but made their way back out, and then Rollins smashed the ring bell over Cesaro's head, causing the disqualification.Seth Rollins dropped the bell and grabbed his WWE World Heavyweight Championship as he steps over Cesaro, holding his head on the floor, as Rollins makes his way up the top of the ramp when Mick Foley's music, once again, sounds. Foley broke the news to Rollins that he refuses Night of Champions to end like this. Mick is specific when telling the referee, if Cesaro is able to compete, to officiate the contest with no disqualifications and no countouts. Rollins threw a fit as he stomped back down as the referee made sure Cesaro was okay, and Cesaro was able to use the commentator's table to get back to his feet, then ringing the bell. Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins(c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Between the two restarts, now over 20 minutes have elapsed as Rollins and Cesaro have went at it. Cesaro was on the apron and Rollins in the ring when Cesaro shoulder-blocked Rollins in the gut and then lifted Rollins over the top rope into the floor. Cesaro then got back inside the ring before using the ropes to catapult him with a crossbody to the outside. The two laid, no countouts this match, as we then see the Wyatt intro. The lights go out and when they come back on, Bray Wyatt is standing in the middle of the ring, hoodie over his lowered head, and the Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. Wyatt lifts his head to the cameras as his war cry through the arena is loud. Bray drops the briefcase in the middle of the ring and gets on the outside before picking Cesaro up and throwing him into the steel steps. Bray then took the champion Seth Rollins and hit a Sister Abigail on the floor. Wyatt picked Cesaro up and rolled him back in, then following him, picked the Swiss Superman up for Sister Abigail. Bray stared at his briefcase before picking it off the ground, handing it to Mike Chioda, cashing it in now. The referee rings the bell and this is now a triple threat.
Bray Wyatt def. Cesaro and Seth Rollins(c) to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Immediately after the bell rings, Bray goes and hooks the leg of Cesaro to end Seth's 546-day reign as champion.
Night of Champions ends tonight with the Eater of Worlds now on top of the world as Bray Wyatt, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, celebrates with his music playing on the background while Seth Rollins comes to on the outside, just realizing his world has been turned upside down, as the event goes off the air.

September 26 2016 After a replay of the events to transpire last night, Seth Rollins marched to the ring in a sour mood. Seth was outraged after his long reign ended last night at Night of Champions, not even being pinned. Rollins placed part of the blame on the new champion Bray Wyatt, but called Cesaro out. When the Swiss Superman came down, Rollins placed the blame on Cesaro and the two got in a shouting fest when Mick Foley comes out. Foley tells the two that Bray Wyatt won the championship last night fair and square, but it's understandable why they'd be upset. Foley said he's upset too, not getting a definitive answer to who is the better wrestler between the two. Foley announces the main event tonight Cesaro versus Seth Rollins, and suggests the two get some rest in before then.
Kevin Owens(c) def. Neville to retain the United States Championship The action spilled to the outside when Owens hit the Powerbomb on the apron, then rolled Neville inside for the count, defending the title successfully one night after capturing it.
Backstage we see the Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper getting an interview from Renee Young, this with Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan lurking in the background. When asked about Bray, Luke Harper said Bray will address the WWE Universe on his own time. Luke says he feels in a generous mood after last night, and says he wants to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line tonight. Harper officially issued the challenge to anyone in the back willing.
The Vaudevillians def. The Usos After stealing a cheap victory from The Usos, raking the eyes before Rolling Dervish, Amore and Cassady ran to the ring to have Aiden and Simon leave the scene, as Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady make it clear they're not finished.
Sami Zayn comes into Mick Foley's office upset about Dolph Ziggler, for no reason, coming and costing him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Foley brings up Luke Harper's challenge tonight, but Zayn refuses to agree. Zayn swears he can only get past this by knocking over the roadblock, being Dolph Ziggler, demanding a 1-on-1 match tonight. Foley is restricted, but sees this is the only way, agreeing to make the match, but for Thursday on SmackDown.
Big E w/The New Day def. Hideo Itami w/Finn Balor After last night, Itami wanted to prove something to himself, but only regretted it after a Big Ending.
Seth Rollins is in the locker room, gearing up for tonight, when Renee Young walks into a total mess. Rollins pours his heart out and advises Cesaro to leave the building, because if he steps in the ring with him, he'll catch what's coming to Bray Wyatt.
The man in charge Mick Foley comes down to the ring and addresses a PPV schedule change, that on October 30th, WWE will be hosting a must-see PPV, and for the first time ever, titled "Rage in the Cage". Foley recalls his legendary match against Undertaker inside the Cell and vows that on October 30th, new memories will be made that will last forever. Foley is interrupted by the former Divas Champion Charlotte. Charlotte heads down with Paige by her side and claims a fluke for last night's defeat to Nikki Bella. Charlotte said there will be no rage in the cage for her, since she wants Nikki Bella in a simple 1-on-1 match on October 30th. To boos, Mick Foley still gives Charlotte that right to her, but he tells Charlotte she's got no right to pick the stipulation. Foley can tell Charlotte isn't ready to compete, so Paige will take her place. Foley says if Paige wins, Charlotte can pick her stipulation. Foley, however, claims if she loses, then Nikki Bella will pick the stipulation. Paige asks for her opponent, and out comes Brie Bella, begging Mick to have the opportunity to put Charlotte's mentor in her place. Foley makes the match, and it is underway.
Paige w/Charlotte def. Brie Bella Paige locks in the PTO and Brie has no other choice but to submit, submitting the stipulation into Charlotte's hands.
After a commercial, Luke Harper comes with Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan, as Harper looks to defend his Intercontinental Championship. Luke makes the comment about Nikki Bella not being by Brie's side, and inferred Bray Wyatt wasn't there also and the two were celebrating their championship wins last night behind closed doors. Luke then tells anyone from the back to come out to challenge for his title, and it is John Cena!! Cena is not at all pleased and comes to the ring, not only looking to win the first Intercontinental Championship of his career, but to shut Luke Harper up for talking about his girlfriend. This is Cena's first match since mid-July.
John Cena def. Luke Harper(c) w/Wyatt Family via Disqualification for the Intercontinental Championship As Cena gained momentum, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman intervened, making this a 3-on-1 assault, then laying Cena out with a Discus Clothesline of Harper's.
A promo plays of The Homage, where Cody Rhodes promises to make an impact on Thursday's SmackDown. This leads into Mick Foley being shown on screen, watching that promo, when Renee Young walks in and asks about that. Foley says The Homage has been a bit disappointing in his eyes, but says that SmackDown will be awesome. Mick said the Vaudevillians are wrestling Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady after the last couple of nights. Foley reminds everyone that Sami Zayn gets his hands on Dolph Ziggler, while the man in charge confirms the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt will be there, and he's looking forward to him explaining away his Family's actions. We then get set for the main event next!
Seth Rollins def. Cesaro The two wrestle nearly 50 minutes in back-to-back nights, this time a definitive finish, as Rollins hits a devastating Pedigree on the Swiss Superman to win.
As his music plays, Seth Rollins takes a moment to grab the mic and send a message to Bray Wyatt, that he's coming back for what is rightfully his, as Rollins leaves his music playing and Raw goes off the air.

September 29 2016 The commentary team hypes tonight's SmackDown, including the arrival of Bray Wyatt for the first time ever as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, when Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady come out to kick off the show with tag team action.
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady def. The Vaudevillians Avenging their loss on Sunday, Colin hits the Empire Elbow that puts Aiden away.
Mick Foley is in his office when he's met with Lana, who is not accompanied by Rusev. Lana is trying to get answers for Rusev not being on Night of Champions or on Raw, when Foley said Rusev actually has to be around to be placed on the card. When Lana confirmed to Foley that Rusev was indeed at the arena tonight, Foley booked Rusev in a match against his familiar foe, Ryback.
Nikki Bella is invited to the ring by Rich Brennan, SmackDown commentator, for an in-ring interview with the new Divas Champion. Nikki comes down and is asked about the long year, when Nikki speaks with excitement about regaining the Divas Championship from Charlotte, and it's even sweeter doing it at Night of Champions. Brennan asked about Charlotte's rematch at Rage in the Cage for the title, and picking the stipulation, in which Nikki understood Charlotte is entitled to a rematch and feels Charlotte just wants a regular 1-on-1 match, so the stipulation isn't a big deal, especially when she's already pinned Charlotte. The interview is interrupted by boyfriend John Cena, who heads down and Nikki tries to calm him down, but gets the mic and sends Rich Brennan packing. John Cena calls out Luke Harper, and instead of getting the Intercontinental Champion, he gets Erick Rowan instead.
John Cena w/Nikki Bella def. Erick Rowan Cena took his frustrations out on Erick Rowan and Nikki left ringside as soon as Cena forced Rowan to tap to the STF, keeping it in longer to send a message.
After the commercial break, United States Champion Kevin Owens is interviewed by Tom Phillips and when Owens is immediately called United States Champion, he doesn't like the ring to that. Owens immediately calls off the interview and insists he's headed home after that.
Ryback def. Rusev w/Lana Ryback was able to steal one after hitting a Meathook Clothesline, Rusev rolled out of the ring. When Rusev opted to come back in, he got hit with another and lost the match.
Divas Champion Nikki Bella is backstage with her sister Brie when John Cena comes up to them. Nikki refuses to scream and holler, so she walks off. When Nikki leaves, John turns to Brie and asks what's going on, when Brie explains to John that he stole her spotlight. Cena doesn't seem to understand, but Brie tells John to leave Nikki's in-ring business to herself, before Brie herself walks off.
The Dudley Boyz def. Kaval and Titus O'Neil w/Emma in a non-title match Kaval and Titus tried it out against the tag team champs, but fell short after a 3-D on Kaval.
After a simple victory, the WWE Tag Team Champions turned their attention to a team lurking around ringside, a faction known as The Homage. Rhodes, Rotunda, and Hennig all got up on the apron and went in to attack The Dudley Boyz, when Bubba Ray and D-Von tried to hold their own. When they had issues, out came Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to even things up, helping the 10-time WWE Tag Team Champions clear house. Afterwards, the Dudleys stared off with Ambrose and Reigns there, and Bubba Ray and D-Von approve of them coming out to help.
Sami Zayn is being interviewed by Tom Phillips about tonight and Zayn voices his frustrations with Dolph Ziggler for intervening in his chance on Sunday to become a 3-time Intercontinental Champion. Zayn says he had to go through Bray Wyatt to get a shot, and now Ziggler's in his way. Zayn says he's got no problem pushing Dolph out of the way to move forward. Mick Foley then comes up and tells Sami the winner of his match after the commercial break is for a championship opportunity indeed, and Luke Harper will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn or Dolph Ziggler on Raw.
Sami Zayn def. Dolph Ziggler In an entertaining and great match, Zayn barely emerged victorious, holding onto the ropes from a Zig-Zag attempt, and then Irish-whipping Ziggler into the corner for a Helluva Kick.
After the commercial, the long awaited arrival of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion happened. Bray Wyatt came to the ring with the crowd lit up with cell phones, and he stood in the dark as he spoke as the new champion. Bray's comments included him saying all year he held the whole world in his hands, and that he held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship's fate in his hands. Bray said he wouldn't let the title change hands until he was ready. Bray said his legacy has just begun and promises to be the world champion they deserve. Wyatt says he'll be doing things differently as champion and is leading a wrestling revolution. Bray told Seth Rollins he accepts his rematch for October 30th at Rage in the Cage. Bray, however, is to name the stipulation and see what Seth thinks of it. Bray hints at a "Valley of Shadows Deathmatch", daring Rollins to accept. Wyatt threatens if he doesn't have an answer by the end of Raw on Monday, he'll search for a new challenger. This is how SmackDown ends, in one of the most disturbing challenges laid out ever.
