January 31, 2018 NXT starts with some introductions of some of NXT's newest talent with Triple H's voiceover about the new blood coming into NXT. It also shows Austin Aries and Tommaso Ciampa making special appearances at NXT Takeover on Sunday. Vic Joseph and Byron Saxton then take it away expressing excitement about tonight's show featuring all new NXT talent from the Performance Center.
Before the opening match, NXT introduces Dave Finlay. The son of former WWE star Finlay, listed at 6'0'' and 200 pounds, made his pro wrestling debut in 2012 and has fought in Japan. Next is his opponent Desmond Xavier. Xavier is 5'9'' and 183 pounds and made his debut in 2011.
Dezmond Xavier def. Dave Finlay While both are fighting cruiserweights, Finlay has more of a punch and Xavier relies more on his athleticism. Xavier finished off the son of Fit Finlay with the Final Flash, a Corkscrew Senton Bomb that wowed the crowd!
Up next is tag team action. Introduced first is the team of Jaxon Thielen and Logan Brigman. Thielen is 6'2'', 240 pounds and debuted back in 2006. Brigman is 6'1'', 240 pounds and debuted in 2006 as well. Both hail from Canada, and came sporting a Canadian flag on their attire. Next is the team of Cedric Alexander and Moose, whom have had different routes to WWE. Alexander is 5'11'', 205 pounds and debuted in 2009 wrestling mainly in the Carolinas where he hails. Moose is 6'5'', 300 pounds and began wrestling in 2013 after being a fifth round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Falcons. Saxton mentioned Thielen and Brigman have the similar upbringing, but Alexander and Moose have gelled in the Performance Center and hit it off.
Cedric Alexander & Moose def. Jaxon Thielen & Logan Brigman Thielen and Brigman had great chemistry at the beginning and targeted Alexander. Yet when Moose got tagged in, it all turned and he was able to hit Thielen with a sit-out powerbomb as Alexander took Brigman out on the outside with a suicide dive. Moose then tagged Alexander in for Alexander to hit Overtime, a frog splash, to win the match.
A video is caught of Adam Cole moments after retaining the NXT Championship on Saturday. Sophia asks about the means Cole had when defeating Bubba Stone with a low blow. Cole said he is finished with Bubba Stone, and he warns Austin Aries to not come that close to his title again. We're then reminded of Austin Aries being in attendance tonight.
Up next is a singles match. Kona Reeves is billed as 6'4'', 250 pounds from Hawaii. Reeves debuted in wrestling in 2013 and Byron Saxton claimed he could be the next blue chip prospect, like Randy Orton or The Rock. Next is Andrade "Cien" Almas. Andrade is 5'11'' and 180 pounds from Mexico. Giving up a lot of size, Andrade has the most experience, debuting back in 2003. Now as Andrade enters second, precedes him is Zelina Vega who introduces herself as Andrade's associate. Zelina Vega tells everyone Andrade "Cien" Almas means he gives 100% and is a 100.
Andrade "Cien" Almas w/Zelina Vega def. Kona Reeves Andrade set up a victory with a running double knee into the corner, and he stalked Reeves for the La Sombra, a hammerlock DDT, to win his debut.
Cedric Alexander and Moose are standing by with Sophia who interviews the winners of tonight's tag team match. Alexander says he and Moose have gotten close at the Performance Center and he felt they had magic, which shows greatly through tonight's debut win against Jaxon Thielen and Logan Brigman. Moose then says he believes Alexander and himself can become the next NXT Tag Team Champions and are about to set a challenge, but Moose is pushed into Alexander! Two men are stomping away at Alexander and Moose, before one snatches the mic out of Sophia's hand and shouts into the camera. He introduces himself as Mark Coffey and introduces his brother Joe. He expresses outrage over not being on tonight's card and say they're making room for themselves.
For the final bout, a fatal-four way for the women, are their profiles. First comes Kairi Sane who comes in at 5'1'' from Japan, where she debuted in 2012. Next is Chelsea Green at 5'7'' from British Columbia who debuted in 2014 and competed at WWE Tough Enough in 2015. Shayna Baszler is also 5'7'' and is from South Dakota. Baszler was in MMA from 2006 to 2015 before making the switch to professional wrestling with help from trainer Josh Barnett. Then finally Nikki Cross 5'1'' and debuted back in 2008 from Scotland. With four different countries represented, it is the final match this evening. And for an extra incentive, William Regal has made it known the winner receives a NXT Women's Championship match against Tessa Blanchard next week.
Kairi Sane def. Chelsea Green, Nikki Cross, and Shayna Baszler in a Fatal-Four Way Match The Insane Elbow on Green causes the Pirate Princess to pick up the win.
William Regal makes it official for next week! The NXT Women's Championship will be on the line in a match between Kairi Sane and champion Tessa Blanchard. Regal also addresses the attack by Joe and Mark Coffey earlier this evening. Regal says they will not be rewarded for their actions, but they are suspended. Regal says he had prior plans to place them in a match against Harada and Kodama, but now it'll be Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford taking their place.
Tommaso Ciampa comes to the ring and addresses his signing with NXT. Ciampa says he has been working his butt off in the indies and it is paying dividends right now. Ciampa says he came to NXT to be the best and his sights are on the NXT Championship. Austin Aries then responds, and Ciampa makes a quick comment about stealing his thunder tonight like he did on Saturday. Aries disregards Ciampa's journey, as Aries says he's done it better than Ciampa. Aries says he's wrestled all over the world and beaten the best, but Ciampa hasn't had a big career moment yet. Aries tells Ciampa his arrival is too premature. Adam Cole then responds and says Aries and Ciampa are both premature and chose the wrong time to come to NXT, because NXT belongs to Adam Cole. Cole says neither Ciampa or Aries deserves a title opportunity, and then Ciampa takes the first shot, followed by Aries. Cole then finds a gap to retreat up the ramp before Bubba Stone's music hits. Bubba Stone comes out and attacks Adam Cole, and while that is going on, Ciampa jumps Aries and those two battle, as there are two brawls going on as NXT fades to black on the WWE Network.

Michaels announces he has taken the budget Donald Trump has given him and already began signing stars. He introduces one of his signings with him tonight, returning to TNA. Michaels says this signing will help the X-Division and believes he'll be a future world champion. Coming back to TNA, exclusive to Impact, is Low Ki! Low Ki comes in a suit and can't get a word out before Angelico of Dirty Standards comes out and says Michaels should worry less about signing TNA's past and looking to the future for the next world champion. Low Ki then strikes Angelico that knocks Angelico out of the ring, before Michaels calls an official to the ring for Low Ki to wrestle his return in a suit!
Low Ki def. Angelico Low Ki returns and settles it with a Warrior's Way, but instead of pinning Angelico, he locked in a new submission move, the Dragon Clutch, until the official deemed Angelico defenseless and rewarded the match to Low Ki.

Michaels asks what Sting's issue is, but Sting says Low Ki is a nice competitor, but he should take Angelico's advice. Sting then boasts about his signings and promises they will make the real "impact" tonight.
X-Division Champion Andrew Everett heads to the ring with Trevor Lee, and as Lee is set for his first in-ring action, Everett hypes up Lee. He also mentions Low Ki, calling him out, saying he won't be getting close to his X-Division Championship like Ricochet and Rey Mysterio will never get close.

John Cena argued with the official, trying to explain his innocence, as Baron Corbin rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp with Paul Heyman with a smirk. Cena was irate, yet remained champion, as many are confused with Corbin winning the match in a way not to win the world title tonight.
