It was an expensive trade but management gets two players that they hope to see in Bengal uniforms for years to come.  Mo Alie-Cox is expected to start at TE.  Management views him as a security blanket with big play abilities for QB Will Grier.  Malik Hooker will slide in next to Eric Berry as the team’s starting Free Safety.  With Hooker joining the team, one can argue that the Bengals now have one of the best safety tandems in the NFL.

Rams Trade:
WR Cooper Kupp

On paper it appears that the Rams robbed the Bengals but in reality the Bengals get their new #1 WR for only the 1st RD pick.  Carlos Dunlap became expendable after the first round of FA signings that saw the team bring in the likes of Bennie Logan, Robert Nkemdiche, and Muhammad Wilkerson.  Billy Price was always going to be moved as management is looking to rebuild the offensive line.  It’s safe to say that Cooper Kupp could lead the Bengals offense in receiving yards.

In a shocking division trade, the Bengals land rookie LB from Michigan, Devin Bush in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Devin Bush will immediately be inserted as the team’s starting Middle Linebacker.
