A soundtrack?? How neat!!! I listened to a specific song on repeat for writing an episode of EBIT, and thought it could have helped put the readers in the zone I was in.

Big casting news!



Helena Bonham Carter, most famously known as Bellatrix in the Harry Potter films, has been cast in Crimson 7 as Amanda's mother, Heather Woods.  Helena will be making her Crimson 7 debut in episode 4!

Episode 1.03 - "Breaking News"

All is quiet at the precinct. Captain Rourke is in his office, Shaw is at his desk, and Amanda is at her desk. No one is really batting an eye as someone walks into the precinct with a frantic look on his face. The man looks around and instantly seeks put Amanda. He rushes to her.

?: "Detective Woods?"

Amanda looks up and sees the terror in his eyes.

Amanda: "Sir? Sir, what is it? What's wrong?"

?: "My name is Noah Taylor, and I need to file a missing person report!"

Amanda: "Okay Noah, lets just take a deep breath and calm down. Who is missing?"

Noah: "It's my fiancé! She never came home from work last night."

As Amanda and Noah talk things over, Shaw looks up from his desk and eavesdrops their conversation.

Amanda: "What is her name Noah?"

Noah: "Rebekah... Rebekah Schmidt. I'm sure I don't need to say anything further."

Amanda bites her lip as she thinks about the report Rebekah did on her.

Noah: "She hasn't returned any of my calls, and she didn't even call me to let me know when she was coming home last night!"

A bunch of commotion starts to stir up across the room and it catches their attention. Amanda gets up from her desk as she sees officers huddle around a tv. Amanda's mouth drops in shock as she sees what is being broadcasted. Rebekah Schmidt is on the tv, her face is blood stained.

Rebekah: "This... This is Rebekah Schmidt reporting live on behalf of the Crimson 7. We started off as 7 strong, only to find one of our own willing to give it all up just for his sake. Crimson isn't just an organization. Crimson is a family. A family that has fallen to 6. Detective Amanda Woods..."

Everyone looks at Amanda.

Rebekah: "You have brought this upon yourself and many other countless lives, including my own. Detective Woods, a new game has started, and only you can play."

The broadcast is then cut. There's an awkward silence in the room as everyone is looking at Amanda. Amanda turns to Noah, whom has a petrified look on his face.

Amanda: "Noah. Noah, listen to me. We're going to get her back. Understand?"

Noah is in shock as he doesn't even respond. Amanda motions to two officers.

Amanda: "Noah, these two officers are going to take you home, and they're going to stay with you until we end this."

Noah: "Please. Please find Rebekah..."

Amanda: "I give you my word Noah. We'll find her."

Noah leaves with the two officers and Amanda's phone buzzes. She has a text from a restricted number that reads the address to Rebekah's location. It also reads that Amanda is to come alone or Rebekah will be killed. Amanda puts her phone away and tries to act casual as she leaves. Shaw gets up from his desk and trails her from a distance as Rourke watches from his office window.

~End of Scene~

Quentin is walking to his car as he gets a call. He looks at his phone and sees that it's Rourke.

Quentin: "Captain, what can I do for you?"

Rourke had a bit of panic in his voice.

Rourke: "You need to get to the precinct, fast! Crimson kidnapped a news reporter, and I think Amanda went after them."

Quentin: "She what?! Alright, I'll be right there."

Quentin hangs up the phone, gets in his car, and speeds off.

~End of Scene~

Amanda is speeding down the highway. She has the address she was given locked in her gps. She sees flashing lights on behind her. She knows its Shane, but she doesn't stop. Instead, she goes faster. Shane speeds up and gets his car beside hers. He puts his window down and yells.

Shane: "Amanda! Amanda, stop!"

Amanda ignores his orders and she keeps on going. Shane looks ahead and sees an opportunity. He backs his car off and nails the back of Amanda's! Her car spins out of control and slams tail end first into a jersey barrier. Shane gets out of his car and runs to her. She seems to be alright but dazed. Shane opens the door and as he goes to pull Amanda out, she nails him with a punch right to the jaw! Amanda leaps out of her car and Shane falls backwards. She draws her gun and points it at him.

Shane: "What the hell are you doing!?"

Amanda: "Trying to save an innocent person's life! Now get back!"

Shane gets to his feet.

Shane: "Amanda, if you think for even a second, I'm letting you walk away from this..."

Amanda: "You'll do what!?"

Amanda pulls out her cuffs and tosses them at Shane. Her gun is still focused on him.

Amanda: "Get in my car and cuff yourself to the steering wheel."

Shane: "WHAT!?"

Amanda fires a shot in the air. Shane's eyes widen.

Amanda: "I'm sorry Shane but I can't trust you. Now please, I won't ask again."

She points the gun back at him. Shane slowly walks and gets in Amanda's car.

Shane: "What are you trying to achieve?"

Amanda shoots again, this time into the wheel of one of the tires. Shane doesn't say a word and he cuffs himself to the steering wheel.

Amanda: "One more thing. You're phone..."

Shane with a furious look on his face, pulls his phone out and tosses it to her. Amanda picks it up and throws it over the road.

Amanda: "I'm sorry Shane. But I can't look the other way with a life at stake."

Amanda runs and gets into Shane's car.

Shane: "Amanda!? AMANDA!?"

Amanda speeds off.

~End of Scene~

Quentin arrives to the precinct. Rourke is outside waiting for him.

Quentin: "What the hell is going on?"

Rourke: "Crimson broadcasted a video of their hostage, Rebekah Schmidt. In the broadcast, Rebekah said that only Amanda can play some sort of game and that they blame her for Crimson being down to 6 members."

Quentin: "Well where is she now Rourke!?"

Rourke: "Her partner, Shane Shaw is going after her as we speak."

Quentin: "Can you reach him?"

Rourke: "Yeah, hang on."

Rourke pulls his phone out and calls Shane's phone, but it goes straight to a voicemail. Rourke shakes his head at Quentin.

Quentin: "Tell all of your units to stay off from this. I'll find Woods and Shaw."

Quentin runs back to his car and speeds off to find Amanda and Shane.

~End of Scene~

Rebekah is tied to a chair. Her face is bruised and battered. Six is in the room with her.

Six: "After everything you said about her, I wonder if she'll even come to save you."

Rebekah doesn't say a word as she sits terrified.

Six: "Playing the quiet game now? You have no problem opening that trap of yours when a camera and microphone are in front of you."

Rebekah still doesn't respond. Six turns to leave and as he reaches the door way, Rebekah calls out to him.

Rebekah: "She'll come for you... Regardless of how she feels about me, I know Amanda Woods. She's coming."

Six: "Good... And when she does, she'll pay for everything she's done to us."

Six walks out of the room and slams the door behind him.

Amanda pulls into a run down factory. Her gps is pinging the location.
Amanda pulls into a run down factory. Her gps is pinging the location. She shuts the car off and steps out with her gun drawn. She quietly sneaks around, trying to peer into a window. Amanda finds an open door. Its barely cracked open. She quietly opens the door but it creeks. Amanda has a nervous look on her face as she looks out in front of her to see if anyone is around. She makes her way into the building. The factory has been shut down for years. Debris and left behind equipment is at every turn. There is just a dim of light inside. She feels her phone vibrate. Amanda takes cover and opens up the message. It reads "Let the game begin." A spotlight then kicks on and it instantly blinds Amanda as it's shined on her. She's then tackled from the side and thrown to the ground. Two has her pinned.

Two: "I've been waiting for this moment! After what you've done!"

Two nails her with a punch right in the gut. But Amanda manages to wiggle free. As she gets to her feet, Two tackles her to the ground again, but this time a pipe is in reach. Amanda grabs it and cracks it over his head! Two is out cold. Amanda rolls away and sits up against a wall. She grabs her rib area as she feels the effects from Two's attack. She pulls herself up and walks over by Two's unconscious body. Amanda reaches down to remove the mask but she hears a door slam open and a woman screaming.

Amanda: "Hang in there Rebekah."

Amanda contemplates what to do but she ultimately chooses to go after Rebekah.

Amanda continues on with her path.

~End of Scene~

Rebekah: "HELP! Somebody please help!"

Rebekah has a terrified look on her face as she hears someone coming. The door is slowly opened. It's Amanda!

Rebekah: "Oh my God! Detective you have to get me out of here! Please!"

Amanda: "Shh! Quiet. I managed to take one out, but I don't know where the others are."

Amanda starts untie the ropes.

Rebekah: "Oh my God, hurry!"

Amanda gets the last rope done and Rebekah jumps out of the chair. They can here someone coming. Amanda looks around and sees a window. With quick thinking, she picks up the chair and throws it through the window. She hurries and looks over to find a fire escape.

Amanda: "Alright Rebekah, you need to trust me. You're going to have to jump."

Rebekah looks over and sees that the fire escape is about a 10 foot drop.

Rebekah: "Are you kidding me!? I'll break a leg!"

Amanda: "Listen to me! It's the only way."

The footsteps are getting closer.

Amanda: "Go now!"

Rebekah jumps out the window and hits the fire escape hard. Rebekah has to collect herself for a moment, but she's okay. Amanda watches as Rebekah starts climbing down the fire escape. But she's grabbed by the shoulder and thrown to the ground! Amanda's gun skids across the floor. She tries scurrying to it but she's kicked right in the head! Amanda blacks out for a moment. As she comes back to, she sees Six coming at her. She pulls herself up and Six tackles her up against the brick wall! Amanda is bleeding from her bottom lip.

Six: "You spilled our blood! You ruined everything! Now you will pay the consequences..."

Amanda watches helplessly as Capitol enters the room with an assault rifle in hand. He walks right past Six and Amanda and heads straight for the window. He can see Rebekah just getting down to the ground. She starts to run away, unaware of Capitol. Capitol pulls the rifle up and aims.

Amanda: "You son of a *****! Don't do this! It's me you want! Kill me!"

Capitol doesn't listen to a word she says. He fires a single shot. As Rebekah is running to safety, she drops as the shot hits her in the back. Four, Five, Seven, and Two enter the room. Capitol hands the rifle to Seven. Amanda has an emotionless look on her face as she basically is in shock.

Capitol: "You sho-"

Shane: "Amanda!? Amanda where are you!?"

Capitol orders the rest of Crimson to leave as Shane is in the building.

Six: "What are we doing with her sir?"

Capitol looks at Six and doesn't say a word. A tear rolls down Amanda's face as she furiously glares at Capitol. Capitol leaves and Six delivers a blow right to Amanda's right shoulder. She lets out a painful cry and drops to the ground.

Six: "Don't worry, it's not broke. Just dislocated."

Crimson makes their escape as Amanda writhes in pain. Shane finds her.

Shane: "Oh my God no. We're going to get you out of here. You're safe now."

Amanda: "He killed her! I couldn't stop them. I couldn't save her!"

Shane: "It's okay. We're going to get you looked at and we're going to get them for what they've done."

Shane helps Amanda to her feet and she lets out a cry of pain as she gets up. Quentin arrives to help. He sees the shape Amanda is in and he has a horrified but furious look for revenge on his face. Back up and ambulances arrive as Quentin looks out the window. He can see Rebekah's body laying limp. Amanda is stretchered into an ambulance and taken for treatment as the police survey the scene.
